The chain looks like it might need a link taken out or some sort of tensioner device to keep it from flopping around and wearing too quickly. Anyway, 50mph on that thing is nuts - even more so in shorts and flip flops with no helmet haha! You guys are seriously crazy and that's why we love you, just be careful 👍🏻

Hi kreosan team! I have a suggestion for an experiment that you could try: Put 2 wires in a microwave and have the other 2 ends exposed to see if you can get any electricity from the radio waves Plz do it, I’m curious to see the result!
if the front tire was pumped up more that thing could do 140 km/h easily !!! and good roads !!! and drill holes in the motor for more air flow if you don't ride in the rain !!! just keep brushes with you. and just ask for a jump when the battery dies !!! 5 minute break !!! and a chain auto tensioner also !!! and that bike would be awesome !!!
Not bad for going 49 MPH on a car battery & parts from a junk yard & a lot of welding . But onyx has a e bike that gos 60 MPH with a 75 mile range on one charge & it takes 5 hours to charge one battery
Put the washing machine motor on that thing, the starter is not made for being under load for so long. If you want to make it a lower voltage motor, you can just rewind the rotor with thicker wire and youre good to go.

Love your videos! It would be nice if you could rig up a charging system for the battery, Maybe make it a dual battery system and charge one while the other is in use.
That does not work, otherwise, it would be done on so many products, you consume 20x the energy you can put back. You must not have any electrical or mechanical knowledge, every time I see a comment like yours I just know you never swung a wrench in your life.
I have a stater motor and want to make something like this just for fun .I know it will use up the battery rather quickly but like I said just for fun.can you tell me what sort of sprockets your using .how many teeth on both front and rear sprockets and tyre sizes .can't believe it goes that quick
i have been home building e bikes for 15 years or more and this ones crude but great i would say you could use a rear chain tensioner to stop the chain dragging and if you go to 24 volts you should get a controller from ebay
What if you took a dynamo, like say from a wind turbine and attached it to the front wheel then you can charge your battery pack as you drive? Not so much for this bike but for your other e bikes.

It would be so great if you all got together to work on the Ferris Wheel. Just imagine all the videos you could make as the work progresses and WHEN (because we all know you brainy guys have the skills needed to get 'er runnin) you get that big wheel spinning you will all be world famous with millions and millions of views and comments and shucks I bet you'd all even get on TV! The world loves you you know!
They are very powerful electric motors but they are not really designed for continuous operation so the forced air cooling is a must and even so; if they ran it for any meaningful distance (say 20-40km) the starter would likely fail. They also swapped batteries halfway through so it is likely very inefficient. Having a golf cart or UTV brushless electric motor with a speed controller would make this unit far safer and long-lasting while providing a large increase to efficiency.
@@kuhrd actually it can serve for long usage of time. Just make sure it works in pulsed electric feed (PWM) but set in 5 second high and 10 second low and so on. With 4S Li Ion it works like crazy powerful motor and work for one hour just warm. Don't use voltage over than 17V or it will be very inefficient. Below than 11V also work but the power just pretty weak. I think it is cheapest version for diy e-bike that too good for invention!
