Iron hands, iron warriors, raven guard, Salamanders all need praetors in regular and terminator armor, as well as characters and legion specific leviathan dreadnoughts. Most of the legions need a specific leviathan dread.

true. raven guard has stat lines for 5 unit types in HH V1 and some in HH v2 and we don't have models for them. salamanders has I think 3. and iron chapters just got fucked with praetors.

I liked the loyal ECs, especially Brother Tarvitz he was a boss who i'd wish survived Istvaan III. Would've been great to see him in the Knights Errant with Garrow and Loken.

I'm usually pretty damn tough on models, but I still gotta admit this guy looks amazing. At least 8 or 9/10. A little cartoony on the spear and shoulder eagles, but it's still awesome. Love it

I’m a loyalist son of the 3rd legion and I love my loyalist force lead by Tarvits. I’m working on a convertion of Solomon Demeter, I’m working on making a lore accurate Rylanor, not just the EC Dread with the name on its chest, and I’ve already kitbashed palatine blades and I’m working on a Phoenix terminator kitbash as well. Great to see the 3rd get some love!!!

I built a joint army of the loyalists from Isstvan 3, quite nice painting the different factions every now and then. Also, holy fuck, he's not standing on a rock.

@@NateVHVT I was planning a Return to Istvaan project last year when the Heresy leak came out. But now I'm feeling too much of a pull towards Siege era Legions. As my mind can't make up which Legion to paint atm I've put my boxed set away and refocusing on other projects that need completing first.

Kirioth did a great video on this guy, comparing it to the old chaos Emperor's Children space marine. The details match in a way you can see how the armor and the marine were changed and corrupted over time.

This could not have come at a more perfect time. I had just swapped some bits out yesterday on one of the praetors from the age of darkness box to give it a palatine blade helmet and a phoenix spear. A very good looking model and that alternate head will be perfect for a noise marine.

Its not just a pauldron cape, its a duelling cape, it is used like a matadors red cape to distract the enemy and catch swords.

Iron warriors, world eaters and death guard need preators on the traitor side. Iron hands, raven guard and salamanders on the loyalist side. And thousand sons and space Wolf have just one

Alot of the newer preators released before HH 2.0 was in Mk3 and Mk4 with a preator in cataphractii or Tartaros. Blood angels, Dark angels, White scars and Alpha legion. alot of the older released legions did not have a generic legion preator (EC,Sala,DG,RG,IW,IH)

Probably surprisingly to most, Death Guard also haven’t received any Praetors, although as noted by someone else here they were used as default colours for the ‘legion agnostic’ Praetors. Also Typhon largely covers all most would want from a Terminator armour-clad Death Guard Praetor, but power armoured would be nice (ideally in MkIII though)

Should have started with a Legion who doesn't have/isn't yet getting a Plastic Character model. But Word Bearers Praetor that has the Diabolist look. For a Word Bearers character Sol Talgron in Terminator armour with 40k Marduk rules.

I dunno mate... This Praetor has a tonne of high contrast filigree/scroll work on his gear, and highlights a lot of gems, but have you seen the fister's Praetors? texturing work on everything, filigree on everything(but minus the contrast), but about 4x the amount of symbology mish-mashed and applied with a shotgun. The main difference to my eyes is EC uses birds, Fisties like fists, thunderbolts, crosses, architectural buttressing, shields, chains, and laurels. Honestly, if you painted the EC up in yellow instead of purple and added more colours to be bolder and more eye catching, you'd get a more subtle fistie with spear...

I think you could convert him into an Imperial Fist without too much trouble. Replace the right shin guard and pauldron. Make the spear a hammer. Get a good helmet and he’s easily a Fist.

Okay so Emperor's Children got two announcements of upgrades/characters before GW even got through all the other legions? If I play my IHs after Istavaan then I don't have any characters, except for that one Legends character from FW, after all are primarch loses his head. Iron Warriors, Raven Guard, just to name a few need to get some updates. What I'd really love to get more than any of those would to be some resized plastic Legion Destroyers (based off of the MkIV destroyers on FW) with options to make them into breachers/despoliers/tacticals/etc...maybe some new Plastic Immortals and Gorgons, but heck with the Mechanicum getting some new stuff next month (hopefully loads of plastic kits, not just a book) I can be also pretty happy.
