I don't like raiding / pvping on more than 1 character, but I enjoy playing multiple alts casually, so world content for alts is just really nice I think
I think they should add a spot for as many as there are classes. I have 8 characters that I like to play on, and there certainly isn't 8 slots. But, baby steps, I suppose. Maybe they will add more slots as time progresses.
I think character select screen rewards should not be locked behind something too hard, should be the reward for like story chapters or the new raid story mode! My two cents.
The sustain nerfs feel needed. A good tank shouldn't go down easily, but a tank also shouldn't be 1st or 2nd DPS, top healing, and never seem to struggle. Obvious exception for out gearing content.
Why does the dev team hate rogue so much? We've been vastly underperforming in the beta and our hero talents feel like nothing. Excited for everything else except actually playing my class.
Oh god. Anytime there's a shift in "how healing feels" it fucks things. Healing should be more fluid, I hate how whack-a-mole it is these days. There's no nuance in conserving mana, it's all just idiots standing in things and healers being forced to deal with it.
Higher health pools should make it feel less whack-a-mole. People standing in things has always, and will always continue to be, an issue regardless of how healing is designed.
The biggest problem i will see is that players will hit need on every gear item to get their Transmog that they don't need on their main character . That will take forever to get gear that is needed , especially in LFR . I believe Blizzard needs to bring back personal loot .
@@emptyforrestIndeed, this happens non-stop with pugs as it is, so no change will be noticed. Just the nature of the beast. I personally prefer a loot system where everyone gets a random loot drop, with the possibility for trading, only if the player already has said transmog as well, but some people really despise the idea for some reason. Ah, well.
Will gold be more bountiful to make buying the warband bank easier? I'm not much for farming gold. I want to level and gear up asap to run end game content.
The storage is huge, just buying the few cheap slots is more than enough for most people. The expensive ones are probably meant to reduce the insane amount of inflation of gold currently
I am actually interested in all the new solo options. Not because I am anti social but mostly because I don't have that much time to play because of work. So I don't have to feel guilty when I can't play for a week or worry about falling behind with my guild. Now I can play at my own pace 😊
Using Felblade to pick up soul fragments is stupid. Why? Awkward cooldown, Felblade is also a mini defensive now, making it even weirder to press for anything but that. Why couldn't they just make blade dance retrieve fragments, it's literally a motiom of dashing around, and doesnt feel awlward to press since you can always use it.
I wonder how this expansion will be for people that only play one character. Also anyone know if the prepatch event can be done at level 60+ or something, to level alts to 70?
I always wonder why when they’re rolling out big changes to UI and such, why don’t they roll one thing out a week so if something’s wrong with it, they can focus on fixing it instead of figuring out which thing is having the most issues and constantly having to fix everything at once
Highly doubt it. I’m all for alt friendliness and would like the option to send them to Alts after a while in each season but I don’t think them being account wide from the start would be good
I want to say somethings here since Blizzard like to locks up this conversation in forum about Early Access . What Blizzard is doing wrong for as Early Access is to let players get ahead of everyone else for 4 days . Which is hitting level cap , doing most of the quests , doing or getting ready to do H Dungeons , getting ahead in professions , and more .... This is truly unfair to rest of the players who didn't buy the $90 expansion.
Question: regular delves give adventure but bountiful delves give up to heroic gear is that correct..and on the bountiful delves is there a different tier system???
Yo, I have noticed that the new "World" tab replaces the PvP one for the weekly vault. Does the PvP one still exist or did it get completely removed? Would be extremely sad if so, but I have never seen a statement on that before.
They are removing the pvp tab in the weekly vault but are buffing the amount of honor/conquest you get in matches. The idea is that players won’t feel conflicted on whether to pick between a pve or pvp item.
I have a world quest question that I've not been able to find an answer to, maybe one of you beta folks can help a player out :) Are there any elite subzones/world quest areas? I'm talking like the Black Oathstone area in Waking Shores, Zaqali Caldera in Zaralek Cavern, etc...
Question, I haven't gotten The War Within yet because I can't afford it. So how would pre-patch TWW content work for someone that doesn't have that expansion yet? Will it just change base content to what will be, or will I not be able to go into areas that content is played and remain at current zones UI look?
Look, I am aware of what Blizzard said that you were reading from when you said that single target heals were being buffed. They did not. They raised health pools again without any adjustment to single target heals of healers. Aside from the light sprinkle of Rdruid buffs, the only thing in the patch notes were healer nerfs, including holy getting absolutely gutted. If you ask any hpal they'll tell you that Herald of the Sun was absolutely bonkers OP for a hero talent tree. The problem is, while Herald was doing 90% of their healing, that was still barely keeping them competitive at healing. Gutting Herald just leaves Hpal in a shattered state, and at least so far, they've done nothing to compensate. So, yes, sure, Blizzard has said that they're putting more emphasis on single target healing, but they literally have not done that at all.
Yeah this is just how it goes, same thing happened before. Inflate HP, but keep damage profiles the same so people are still spiked for 80-90% of their HP. It means less than nothing. Meanwhile no buffs so now healing just feels weaker and worse and the problem we've been complaining about with personal defensives being too common and too strong is even more amplified further reducing healer agency. Healing is going to be very rough S1.
While they still have time for tuning, it seems that only the meta healer will be worthy of selection and even then it'll be a daunting task to heal. I imagine S1 will find itself very short of healers who are brave enough to continuously wade through the toxic pool of mouth piece M+'ers. Leaving only those die hards, dead-set on tunneling through solid diorite. Slow starts and hotfixes will be abound week one.
It’s always been the same issue the damage profile in raid and dungeons. They never address that and try to patch the issue with health changes it doesn’t fix it
It's so dumb. Healing in raids is too powerful because of the sheer insanity of AoE CDs. They keep raising health pools to nerf raid healing. But that's seriously not how to fix the issue. It just exaserbates the M+ problem instead, which is that a single healer just does not have enough CDs to keep a party alive (the only thing propping up M+ now is the sheer overwhelming nature of everyone's defensives, DR, and self-healing). You don't need a healer in M+ because they do so little tangible healing as it is that they're replaceable. Blizzard needs to 1 cut defensives across the board, 2 reduce healer CD potency, 3 buff healer sustain healing (especially single target sustain). THIS will fix the issue. It's what all the top healers are saying. It's what many other healers independently concluded on their own too. But Blizz will not back down. I don't know if they're afraid of the backlash or what. But instead they just leave everything in an absolutely broken state. Some of the single target sustain heals legit need to be buffed 3x or 4x their current potency to even make a measured difference in keys.
So 2 of the classes without a heal have their long CD oh-shit heal nerfed. Fun! How are they handling paragon cache progress when pre-patch hits? Just the highest counts? Adding?
WoW code is built on hopes and prayers 🙏 They changed 1 thing with random quest and then bug occured where paladins suddenly were able to level up fishing using their skills 💀
Doing certain content has a chance to give you equal ilvl warband gear, but that only seems to apply to outdoor stuff. With raids and M+ you get warband gear 1 track lower, so doing mythic raids the best warband gear you'll see is heroic. I honestly feel like it's a waste. Either I'm playing an alt, at which point it's doing the same content my main is, or I'm not playing it, so it doesn't need gear to begin with.
@@gleem111what are you talking about? Skipping a big part of gearing being able to get decent gear will help no matter what. Unless all you do is lfr at max lvl, then it doesnt matter either way
@@yeye1600 Typically once season 2 hits it takes me roughly 5 hours or less to go from just hitting max level to being geared enough to do heroic raids/equivalent keys. Warband gear will do little beyond that point, and the speedup of warband gear to get to that point is minimal. I really don't know exactly what "big skip" you're talking about.
I stopped playing wow because of Dragonflight got me bored, I said I'll never touch the game again but I guess I'll comeback once the pre-patch is out, character login always bored me and I have ever found it old and pretty much ugly, plus the warbands are really cool for transmogs, it's going to change a lot into the game and I love it, thank you so much for the video Kelani !
If a new mage tower had rewards that where a character select screen, that would be a colossal downgrade from some of the best looking weapon appearances ever added to the game.
Yes, though not at the beginning. Remix ends right towards the end of pre-patch. Should have at least a few days to play remix characters in pre-patch before early access to war within.
@@BillyMadison-gn1zu You still can! Your remix character will be changed to a "regular" character on August 19th. Expansion launch is on August 26th. So you will be able to play your timerunner as your main. Hope that makes sense.
Gotta love Blizzard's inability to make coherent changes .. they're trying to add content for solo/non-dungeon players while at the same time taking the nerfbat to every class's self-sustain making solo play a lot more difficult to pander to healers whining they don't have enough to do in group content. /golfclap
Haven't played for years, what should returning or new players focus on to prepare for TWW? Was a Rogue, checked their Hero Talents and to say I was disappointed is an understatement.
Blizzard does something good. Kelani: Hip Hip Hooray! Blizzard does something insignificant. Kelani: Hip Hip Hooray! Blizzard does something wrong. Kelani: Hip Hip Hooray. Right guys? We'll just have to see. Yay!
Sounds good to me. Healers might finally get some long overdue love again in groups. But solo players will hate these nerfs unless health pools are big enough so they can eat/drink between fights to heal up, just like in the old days. 😊
I wouldn’t get your hopes up they did the same thing right before dragonflight. Like exact same thing. They are trying to fix an issue without addressing the cause. Damage profiles and character defensives. This won’t fix it
*Deal breakers for me ...* *Removing reputation gains from TWW side quests ..... Unnecessary change, which will make them obsolete, and you'll find hardly anyone bothering with it. The side quests will be pointless!!* *Time Gating the professions ....... unnecessary change, which will stop many people caring about levelling professions!! Every time i level a character, i level professions along with it so i can take advantage of crafting gear, etc, but now when i reach a weekly cap i would have to stop levelling my character to keep them both in line with each other.*
Ok did I anger you Kelani? I dont think I have ever said a bad word about your content but for some reason I keep getting unsubbed and Its not me. Not sure if thats happening to others or if you are aware but I have resubbed like 4 times this year already. At anyrate I can hardly wait for this xpac for some reason. Im loving the character select screen I just wish you could have more then 4 characters.
