As one who sat in ole Sullivan stadium and sat in 3 hrs traffic jams week after week, after each painful loss, this video had me believing I missed the excellence of mighty Hugh Millen?! This documentary, while nostalgic and enjoyable to watch, felt like a Seinfeld bizzaro world I never got to enjoy. I do remember Dick Macpherson and loved his contagious enthusiasm. Having said that, I seem to recall him putting more players on IR in his celebratory bum rushes of the players after scoring. 🤣 Here’s what I remember: - Leonard Russell - amazing talent, fumbled the ball every time it mattered. - Ben coates - the most underrated player in nfl history. Possibly more skilled than gronk. Clutch. - Irving fryer - peewee Herman dances in the end zone after td. - McMurtry- good, but hard to think of anyone else other than the steamer Stanley Morgan my boyhood hero. - Bruce Armstrong. How a tackle became the best player on our team should speak volumes about this era - Andre Tippett. - black belt. That’s all the announcers ever talked about and as a boy I wondered why he wasn’t getting sacks on every play with this “super power” Now to figure out which version was real… my memory, or this documentary where Irving fryar predicts millen to be the next elite qb In the league without cracking a smile. #patsforlife
That's your favorite Patriots team? Not any of the 6 that won a Super Bowl, let alone the 2007 team that is arguably the best team ever assembled interesting
After going a very bad 1-15 6-10 is major improvement. At that time the Pats were black sheep of boston sports they accomplished nothing of worthy. Sure super bowl 20 but they were nothing more than cannon fodder for the bears. They gave the bears easy victory.
The Patriots were under .500 in 1995 They won only five games in 2000 despite having Lawyer Milloy (Pro Bowl SS) Ty Law (Pro Bowl CB) Drew Bledsoe (Pro Bowl QB) Terry Glenn (Pro Bowl WR) and Willie McGinest (Pro Bowl DE) They won 7 games in 2002 despite having Tom Brady at QB and Troy Brown (Pro Bowl WR/KR) Lawyer Milloy (Pro Bowl SS) Ty Law (Pro Bowl CB) and Willie McGinest (Pro Bowl DE)
Snow game hero Mark Henderson cleared the spot for the game winner against The Miami Dolphins 🐬 Pissed off Coach Shula and their owner. So much for being a convicted burglar. Never judge 👨⚖️ anybody.
He got the most out that talent which wasn't much. Sadly he got sick the next season and the team went back to their losing ways until Parcells came along.
You had Hugh Millen and Tommy Hodson 2 quarterbacks who could quarterback a high school team it was sad to watch but you could only watch the away games because home games were blacked out because they were drawing 20,000 people if that
