Darren: nothing like that on the plans. The top of the wall is at about average shoulder height above the level of the mezzanine.

Trees - just like the one near it

Rob: like all the trees planted amongst the hard surfaces (Granite Setts etc), they first dig a pit and then insert an ArborSystem grid, which holds the trees and moisture much better for the roots. The roots have to have something firm to hold them for the strong winds they will suffer. At the SE corner that grid you can see is for 2x2 trees. Another future three will extend be 'dug in along the South concourse towards the Viewing Gallery overhang. The tree planting will be mirror-imaged at the SW corner in due course too.

They’re installing cladding at the top of the entrance

Seems to be getting an angled roof for drainage, and perhaps to stop brats spitting or dropping things on fans below?

If its your first one you would be better getting one of the DJI minis(249g weight). You can get one of those for £200-300 and will give you good results. You also only need an operator id (£10) to fly it legally and are almost unrestricted where you can fly them. Bigger drones means more rules, regulations and qualifications and quite a hike in price.

I might raffle it off and anything it makes over its value give to charity

New one is a DJI Mavic 3 pro

it is if you watch the original reveal video it clearly shows that gap on all f corners it matches the roof it will serve a purpose and you'll get used to it

@@fletchbtw6244 Fletch: Ok, so it all relates to the fundamentals of the whole building. I don't know whether you have followed the construct from the outset and the work that was carried out in the early stages but the whole stadium is basically dependent on what lies below. The stadium is constructed as a matrix of 3x3 (like Noughts-and Crosses or Tic-Tac-Toe). So, we have a NW, N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W and Central area. The central Area is broadly speaking the external lines of the Pitch Area. The West, Central and East sections all lie over what was originally the middle of the dock water of the Dock, whereas the NW, N, NE and SE, S and SW sections are broadly-speaking situated over the old Dock Quaysides. The areas over the old dock-water, whilst they have compacted sand on old Sandstone and some piling in the area, will inevitably 'settle'. The other sections that lay over the old Dock Quaysides were already fairly well-compacted even though they too have steels that are piled and inserted in bedrock. This means that they will inevitably settle or 'move' at different rates and rather than create stress points, the build alleviates that by having expansion gaps (they might better be called something else like Movement Joints but most people can relate to Expansion Gaps). Likewise, if you recall from the early days, the Brick/concrete parts (i.e. the SW/W/NW and NE/E/SE) were started with the 4 corners being inserted first (the NW/NE/SE/SW) as to a degree the West and East Stands then span across from those across the 'open water' of the dock. The middle of the North and South Stands don't actually have concrete walls situated on the ground and just rely on angled and cantilevered steels supporting all the terracing above them, so their forces are quite different too. This is why, from the outset, you will have been able to see the 'double/twin steels' located at the Movement Joints/Expansion Gaps from early days and why even when the building is complete these 2 joints on each of the 4 faces of the Stadium are and will be clearly seen. The Movement Joints on the N-to-S axis are much less than the provision on the E-to-W axis and the E-to-W axis joint will remain the most visible in the Barrel-cladding and Standing-seam roof layers and broadly-speaking they are in line with where the old Dock Wall Granite Coping stones are located under the stadium. I hope this gives you a better understanding of it.

They have to to comply with the law

Probably someone who wants disabled fans to have an inclusive Everton experience, your comments on this are very disrespectful!

Why would you have an issue with that? It's pretty much in line with every other stadium in the league, Anfield as the nearest comparison has wheelchair bays in all of it's stands and with the exception of the Kop on both levels of the other three stands. Under current legislation a certain percentage of a stadiums capacity (0.53%) has to be for disabled supporters, Everton's new stadium based on a total capacity of 52,890 is required by law to have circa 240 'wheelchair accessible seating bays'. Why would you want to segregate disabled supporters into one section of the stadium. I'm a Liverpool supporter by the way but I know Everton Football Club would never consider doing anything that discriminatory.

That's a really disgusting comment. My 11 year old nephew is in a wheelchair and is a big football fan. Why shouldn't he be able to experience every different stand?
