@@szczypior2714 Matter of opinion of course, but I loved this season. I find that the characters have evolved and changed accordingly and in turn the show has as well and in my opinion for the better, I dont entirely see what it is that people disliked so much about this season. We're all here for the same reason and its because we love Rick and Morty and the only thing that would stop me from watching it would be if it didnt exist.

@@DazHotep6EQUJ5 S4 was probably, overall, the low point so far imo if you take out the Beth episode. The rest of that season was fairly forgettable. S5, on the other hand, with several hard-hitting episodes is the best season so far.

Your missing the whole point of his ideology, which was any current universe he was in had the same issue, a protective little bubble around a child-like minded crazed scientist, drilling into his head, that he had no control over it, so he fought to the top of the ranks, and popped the bubble, meaning no longer were the Rick’s protected from the truth, that they were cowards and refused to admit someone was smarter then them, someone was better then them

A theory I would like to follow

that's an interesting theory :) I think the reason Rick could never find the Rick that killed his wife and Beth was because he was Evil Morty's Rick. And while Morty's are Morty's and cant kill Ricks (on their own. in S1 where we first meet Evil Morty those captive Mortys tore Robot Evil Rick apart), he did *something* to him and got him out of the way. Another coup? Indirectly got him offed by another Rick? ....or something MUCH darker, got in his head and had him Hamburger Time himself. One way or another, Evil Morty had Evil Rick killed, so Our Rick could never find him. Evil Morty probably suffered greatly at the hands of his Rick...more than Morty's usually do. And something snapped. He decided he was going to get away, by any means necessary.. by breaking the CFC as planned or...the other way. I think that's what that closed eyes, small, tired smile of his was about as he was leaving. Be it Plan A, where he survives, or Plan B, where he doesnt....he did it. he got away from Rick. Which is all he wanted. I was really satisfied that Evil Morty got his win. for 5 seasons, you watch Our Rick get away with being a massive P.O.S. by the seat of his pants, or by 'keeping it episodic', 'i hate going to the Citadel because its based in Canon'...because that way he doesnt have to face the consequences of his actions. And, when faced with Evil Morty...he lost. the CFC he helped create is gone. the Portal Gun is gone. what little shred of a bond he has with Morty is gone. it was great to have him face the music, and not win for once. But, its also sad, because while Rick C137 is still a complete and utter rat bastard...he was growing. in the ever so tiniest baby steps, and failing most of the time, but still trying. And it -has seemingly- amounted to nothing, thanks to Evil Morty showing our Morty the Real Truth.

Not exactly. RICK was able to block off an infinite amount of universes from an infinite amount of universes. The single Rick we follow throughout the show. Evil Morty saw it as Rick creating a baby cradle that was all about him being the best, and keeping the rest of infinity out. But you could also interpret Rick's action another way. He knew what the other Ricks were capable of. They killed his wife and child, destroyed his life. He saw how they treated non-genius Ricks. It's possible he wanted to protect other Beths and Dianes from what happened to his own. So he created a cage, locking his infinite genius selves inside. Not to keep other universes out, but to keep the genius Ricks trapped inside. Protecting the rest of infinity from himself.

The last couple times the US invaded the Middle East it was called "peace keeping". China calls concentration camps and organ harvesting operations "rehabilitation centers". Sweden calls rapes "sexual emergencies" if the rapist is diverse enough they're afraid they'll get called racist.

I believe they tried something different this time. In other seasons most of the episodes would contribute to the main story, even if not by much. In this season most of the episodes are just random Rick and Morty adventures, and when they are over, they are over. Things seen and done in one episode don't reflect in the next one. The best episodes are the ones connected to the story. I liked better the other format, but i believe they will keep this new one, since it is easier to write and better to show on tv since anyone without previous knowledge on Rick and Morty is able to enjoy and understand. This new format contributes as well with the length that the show is expected to have. They planned for at least more 50 episodes. I don't think it would be possible to keep the main story going for that amount of episodes.

@@tiagodgy Its not that, they can do great episodes without being part of the main arc, like the time traveling snakes, little rick and water/ice T, but in season 5 with the exeption of nimbus, the hellraiser one and planetina were not really good until episode 8. Otyer sewsons had episodes I disliked, but usually only one ir two, season 5 had 4. Thank god the last 3 were awesome and picked up the season.

"A Rouge Morty creates a lot of problems". In most timelines, Morty may have the belief that he is a kid born with a learning disability. Thus he doesn't have confidence in himself. But what happens overtime with Morty? He starts to have more confidence in his abilities. He saves Ricks life multiple times through pure creative or critical thinking. Rick says it is Morty's brainwaves that disguise Ricks signature, but clearly it's not needed. Morty is actually very smart, and has the ability to fool Rick at anytime and take control. Morty is a constant that Rick needs to feel grounded. Maybe he can relate to him in his youth, because they are more alike than they both know. Interestingly though "Rick C-137" never had Grandkids or a Daughter for long. He filled the void of his Nemesis "Michael Jackson Coat wearing Rick". So where is evil Morty from?
