I experienced the white light in August of 2012. I’ve been trying to find others ever since. I’m aware of psilocybin now, and I have met the transcendental other/The Father/ God. The white light experience happened 6 years before I ever found psychedelics though. I was completely sober, awake, and aware when I went out of body, and became the white light. My best friend was 4 ft in front of me, and saw the same entity that I saw in the quantum world appear behind me in our 3D world with his naked eye. There is way more to the story obviously, but I really just wanted to confirm that some people are experiencing this white light/ quantum consciousness. Hi Aneeta, just FYI, I read the Bardo Thodol five times over five years before it "clicked" and made sense to me. I'm certain there is a lot more to it, but what I got from it has affected me tremendously. Like most spiritual texts, it shouldn't be taken too literally in order for it to become more clear. It's more like a poem and should be "read" with the Third Eye. Stick with it!
So I have 2 questions if anyone is still reading this. First, as is a cornerstone of Quantum Theory, time per se does not exist and is illusionary, then how can a 49 day time frame in the Bardos even begin to be real? People have described timelessness and yet by imposing 49 days assumes linearity in time. This is apparently a big contradiction. Second, per my own experience (admittedly with psychodelics--Salvia--only once!), I was thrown into a timeless black void. I was actually "thrown" there by deities that told me I was a "hologram of which they controlled"--this was in 2007--prior to any "holographic theories' that one now sees on the net, and my personal mind at the time never even though nor conceived of holograms on any basis as an explanation of reality. During this unreal scary state, I was thrown into total darkness, alone, and experienced an ego death which was beyond painful. After giving in and letting go, it seems that I was thrown out of the void and awoke having fallen off my bed, laying in a kind of "sphinx" like position with luckily, my head not hitting the ground. Several yeas later, while awake but tired, I experienced something defiantly related-connected, yet not under the influence of anything--I experienced a world of colored geometry--highly complex, full of colors, fractles, and saw the colors of blue and red but in a shade/intensity that is undescribable. Numbers and equations were seen and I experienced numbers as alive, although I do not remember what they were or could understand them now. I also experience what seemed to be a vast intelligence which permitted myself and I wanted to call "God" but didn't in case that was not really "God" and avoid such a blashphmous mistake. It was a blissful state. This state only lasted when I held my eyes closed. It was far beyond my own imagination capability to make something like this up. To this day, I am very disturbed by the alone/dark/void experience and dieties that I apparently met in the first experience. It put the fear of dying into me hard. WTF is real...and is that what death is--an eternal existence in darkness??? Any wisdom appreciated!!!
Great question (I'm addressing time here), OG! Being "illusory" does NOT mean something doesn't exist, the precise definition of that word is "having a deceptive appearance." Einstein said that time is an illusion, not that it doesn't exist. It exists as more of a spatial dimension (like height or width or depth) and therefore isn't quite what we think it is. He also said that time is relative; meaning that on this side of the illusion of death, we can use the concept of "49 days" to sorta explain (impossible to explain in full, really!) what is going on on the other side of the illusion of death. Meaning we use "below" concepts to attempt to explain "above" concepts sometimes and it definitely is not always a clear and concise match, as you have pointed out. Bottom line, it is not necessarily linear, but "49 days" days approximate the quality of what's going on "over there."
Good question. The "light trap" is the same as "eating off the tree of knowledge of good and evil" in Genesis ... it's the EGO trap, or the "trap" of the physical world. We should follow the "pure radiant light" ("seen" with the Third Eye or awareness) within us all and not visual light.
Meditation is an experience of the Great Light. Once you go into samadhi, the Great Light pours into you but you retain the physical body. The end result are the great Gurus and Saints we know about throughout history.

Michelle, if your not having lucid dreams (recognizing your dreams within the dream) then you likely won't recognize the bardo state either. This was written in Tibet by a Vajrayana monk. I would suggest studying some Vajrayana, meditation and dream yoga if you really want to prepare yourself for death. Liberation on Hearing of the Between by Robert Thurman is a great translation.
This teacher had the spelling of deity right the first time. The students, thinking they were right, convinced him it was incorrect and he changed it. This in itself is a lesson. Go with your gut instinct, led by positive intention. Trust in the self, ego will always try to deceive ;)

Thank you for sharing.. I think it's particularly sad that most of whom u help are those struggling with addiction. It seems to me drugs would be a way to escape the feeling of being here without actually checking out, so to speak.. So the attachment of the addiction dooming the person to more time spent in this reality is truly a most cruel and harsh form of self affliction. It's not easy to look clearly at this society without feelings of disgust and hate. I can't blame anyone for wishing to blur the glare of it in any way possible.. Those who do are despised by the majority of society, of which i believe are indifferent to the suffering of others and typically benefit from it, the same element to put things in such a wretched state that the sight of it is painful to the more sensitive and empathic of us. It makes sense that ppl feel overwhelmed by the evil and greed. By the time the addict realizes the source of the pain, they are usually too eaten up by the drugs to engage in constructive solutions.
The druggies in my family took drugs not because society was so appalling, but because they were too lazy, inept, and socially unskilled to actually fit into the matrix. They wanted to fit but in an easy way. Some of it is hardwired/genes. They are now the "evil and greedy" ones.
For the most part he did a good job explaining it. But I wanted to add a little more information starting at 24:17 where he introduce different color of light as exiting point. It is exiting point and it is not exiting point. Let me explain, and take it as a grain of salt. These lights that one begin to see are different frequency that appear as one go through the Bardo. Another word there are many different planets in our universe, each planet depend on the society on that planet vibrating different frequency. During this time if one have not yet recognize their true nature, if he or she take one these light he or she will be rebirth into that planet. This is why the textbook talk about different soft such as blue light, soft orange light etc. If you are a light person while you are living more or likely you will be drawn into a high frequency of light which rebirth you into a good planet where society are peaceful and high spiritual society. If you behave badly then depend on your mind will be drawn into a lower frequency and rebirth into a harsh society. But if you manage not picking any of the light your mind have presented than you will remain here on Earth or which ever planet you die on. Another word if you want to rebirth on a higher spiritual society in our universe practice compassion, loving kindness and elevated your mind frequency when you died you will be drawn into their energies and rebirth there. No matter where you rebirth, it is still a learning process for awakening, Earth just happens to be one of the Goldilocks plain of existing. Not too much Chaotic (Hell) that made it hard to be awaken and not too comfortable (heavenly) that one forget about spiritual awakening.

Hi Steve! Thank a lot for explanation! I didn't read this book but your explanation resonates with the teachings of my Lama who is the disciple of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. I agree that Dzogchen realization is possible even during life and certainly during the transition (so called death). I'd like to add that according to historical facts, this book was composed by Great Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche), who was a fully realized Buddha of those times, not some monks. The only thing is that translation might be inaccurate and without a lineage holder teacher guidance it's very difficult to interprete such sacred teachings by our dualistic minds (which is so widespread in the West, people read a book and think they know it and think they got it :) ), yet is a step forward. I agree with you that all the religions and teachings are interconnected and refer to light as a source. My Lama said that when we are able to see this light in all beings and see no separation (see yourself in others) this is a good sign of liberation. We all should start with compassion and love to all, we should try to recognize this light in everything, to recognize phenomena as they are with no labels of our dualistic perception. My brother had just died this past Thanksgiving 2019 and when he laid to rest a week after ( because he was waiting for his shipmates and friends from Japan) He was a retired U.S.NAVY of 30 years as a Senior Master Chief ...He also had just retired, just turned 54 this year and went back home in the Philippines and had died of a heart attack suddenly...Well on the night he was laid to rest he showed the white light with him through my dream and it was so beautiful..I feel so privileged because I know you see this when you die and if you're an NDE experiencer. 🙏❤💐
All my life I have never feared being alone because I never felt like I was alone, I know I am by myself yet feel the company of a infinite amount of other souls. Does this have significance? Also, I have seen the white light but was not near death, my one and only time doing DMT and it flew me to a void where the bright white light told me I should be at peace and not fear. I also seen this light while in deep dream state with the same message yet less intense. I never thought it would have been myself in spirit form telling me what matters, thank you so much for this video.

Okay this is very important. He is right, there's no such thing as death. Only body can die. I feel like I need to leave this here too. I've had this experience where I found the truth. I was in place beyond time. I know it wasnt a dream, like he said when you know something is truth it's truth. It was like a path. I saw all my past lives. I'm sure I have lived more than 10 times. I was seeing them but in the same time I was in them. I got killed so many times in many different ways. Now I know there's no need to be afraid to die. Everytime I died I came back to this place beyond time. I call it like this because Im still looking for answers and where I was. So after so many deaths and returns to that place I realized there's no need to be afraid to die and I wasnt afraid anymore. It's like you're out of something. Now I will describe the place. This place was so intense. I was on the path, on my left was water but there were many things there. On my right was also many weird things, I cant remember all of this now. I know that this place was so different, green, full of colors and beautiful. While being on this path I was thrown in my past lifes, not all at once . Every time I died I came back there and walked and saw many things I cant even explain them because I remember it unconsciously now. Then I experienced next and next and next life. I remember I wasnt alone there. At some point, idk which life I was experiencing, let's say 7 life. I died, came back in that place and there were people/souls waiting for me, I'm sure there were more than 5 of them. They were always there with me. At the begining I wasnt sure who they were and I was scared of them a little but then I realized they must be my friends, I am very empath person. I felt that I can trust them and they were with me always. And idk if it is possible but I am looking for them. I dont know how to find them or they're looking for me. But I am lost. I wish I could be together like I was in there. So let's come back to that place. I experienced the last life. And now I was only passing through that place and looking at all those beautiful things. I remember face of Jesus above water. He was in colorfull circle. There were so many colors. I was confused and I passed through him. I feel bad now.. At some point I was riding white horses with my friends but this is not important. Oh there's a thing. I cant remember how they looked like. This annoys me so much but it's probably not important if they reincarnated. Because of course they definitely look different and have different gender and stuff. I know that we were wearing similar clothes, if that was our clothes. So from the BEGINING of this experience everything was colorfull and there was so many thing floating around. But the longer I was there things started to change. I saw trees in the distance, big and green. At some point everything was covered in snow. The ice formed on water, the trees was white, everything was white in snow. I felt something weird. I felt like I have to get out of there. I still dont know why. At first I though I am afraid of something, that something is chasing me. I think it might be time. I was probably running out of time. We stopped under the trees. I felt the urge to get out of there. I dont know what feeling it was tbh. I knew that to get out of there I have to die. You have no idea in what state of mind I was. I felt like portal is closing and I have to leave. Idk... There comes the sad part. So I was sitting on horse and I knew I have to do something (die) to get out. I looked at my friends to remember them and the path. But I cant remember their faces. I jumped to the frozed water. I hitted the ice, broke through it and fell in the water. The sad thing is that in the moment of jumping one of my friends yelled at me to 'WAIT' It bothers me to this day. I wish I could... So I was under the water. I have seen the hole I made in the ICE with my body and I was slowly fainting. You might think it was scary. It wasnt. I wasnt scared at all. After all these deaths there wasnt even a single fear in me. It was peacfull. The hole in the ice I was looking at while being in the water started to blurry more and more. Then I woke up in bed and took a huge breath. Actually I cant remember when this happened but it was in 2018. I am looking for information and more answers. Reincarnation is real, do not fear death and remember to be a good person.
For me its feeling like I can do anything and feeling postitvie without self doubt, resentment, jealousy, confidence and focusing on the things that truly matter. Love
A light started streaming in from the top my head and connected to another light inside my head one day....afterwards I discovered esotericisms and eastern religions that explained it....especially the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
You're an excellent teacher. Thank you. If I recall, years ago, I read either Tibetan book of living and dying, or the dead....it was very depressing and dramatic on how to care for someone leaving the movie theater. Even days after the passing, the care of the body and praying. Is all that really necessary?
In my opinion, no. ... But the reason for that is discipline, as it takes significant focus (and compassion) to attend to all those details, which can be helpful in understanding the death process. As Buddha himself taught, everyone has their own pathway back to the light ... and I sure wouldn't want to rely on someone tending to my dead body "correctly" in order for me to get there! Ultimately the idea is about staying energetically connected to a loved one who has transition to the next bardo.
moral of the story... If you want out of this trap you give up all attachments to this trap. what you love, what you hate, who you are, who you are not, it's all a Story of you acted out by the Ego, and none of its real.. you are free to go when you figure this out. The Ego is the suit you wear created by the system.. it has no zipper so it's very hard to find the way out of it. But what about this whole understanding about learning who we are, about being Spirit who was bored and came here to experience? Well, that's a story that's been passed down for centuries and ridiculous when you really examine it.. What kind of God/pure spirit doesn't KNOW ALL, and would be bored? What kind of Pure Spirit needs lessons? If you are the ALL, then every story is already within you. Either we are not Spirit, but lesser entities who got conned into this reality to possibly learn or worse be slaves, Or what seems more likely is that we got conned into this prison to steal from us Our Spiritual Essence. There is a choice... Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, once you realize that a wizard created this shithole, and put you in a straight jacket(ego) Just Demand... I Want to go HOME.. or better Yet I AM HOME, I AM FREE.

This is a unifying theory. It doesn't strictly adhere to one philosophy or another. It is a compliation of what he believes to be true. If it doesnt resonate with you then it doesnt. But remember: F. Scott Fitzgerald said "The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function." And I might add the ability to stay true to YOUR path.

Lets say for the sake of argument that Buddhism is 100% true, then to "unify" it with a religion that is 50% true is a dilution that perverts the spiritual wisdom into ignorance. I know new age people, i am not unaware of your thought processes. This all encompassing acceptance falls flat on your face with the simple question,"Is there a God who made you or not?" Buddhism would say there is no god and to force your western cultural fairytale upon it is perversion.
Guru Rimpoche wrote it. He was Stated in 3 Sutras that he would incarnate as Guru Pabasimbava to teach the Bhutanese then after travel teaching a secret practice. He wrote the book in question, his it to be found when & by whom he intended. There are more than 1 translations & the original isn't considered most accurate by many Bhuddhists. Robert Thurman, PhD, who is a Harvard grad now teaches at Columbia University as an authority on Bhuddism. He has translated the book as well. You may want to consult a Tibetan Lama on your choice & meanings. It's too dangerous to take incorrectly or from misunderstanding. Guru Rimpoche is a fascinating Buddha & his history is quite beautiful & existing. Pabasimbava n Bhutan. It's said he rode in on his consort a white tiger. He did leave a magnificent impression as that incarnation & the book was worthy of his expenditures...

I have soo many questions after watching this. This wheel you just described is exactly the experience I had at a Ayahausca retreat. In the order you explained it. Allll the way to the point of in a sense finding a choosing my parents and entering the fetus at conception. And boom I have this weird awakening and come to completely sober as what I remembered as me. I have never heard of this book your referencing and was an atheist. How do you explain this
its me but I have never believed in any of this stuff. I was full blown atheist. Didn’t believe in reincarnation or anything after death. But the experience I had went against everything I thought I knew
its me after all the torture I experienced and I moved beyond all that existed, after the eternal void of nothingness I slowly became aware as just a voice, I had no body or sight or sense of space but I had some sort of sense of awareness(I understand that is hard to comprehend if you haven’t had the experience) but I could sense a sexual energy and I had to navigate through nothingness towards that sense. And this is weird but I experienced what I’d call some sort of orgasm not in a sexual sense. More like every individual molecule that was part of my body and everything around my spirit had its own individual orgasm at the same time. It was seriously as if the entire universe had a orgasm and my reality started to very slowly form around me during the orgasm. To explain this part of becoming aware for the first time ever as if I was literally just born would take hours.but short version;after this climax
I recommend everyone to get taught by an actual master, a proper yogi, these teachings or methods are not to be taught by people who do not have any yogic experience. 🙏🏼

We believe that spiritual traditions have a lot more in common that most people realize and have found that introducing our clients to profound teachings and wisdom such as the Bardo Thodol has inspired many of them to pursue an "actual master" to go deeper. Not only the teacher should be an yogi but the listeners are also should be doing spiritual practices to be able to resonate with the teachings. The Ego dissolution takes place during deep meditations.

5 meo dmt punched me through to the bright white light This whole thing makes sense in my life now, but also reading this book just changed my path. Started to get dreams of dark deities and I can see I have a lot of work to do with my own consciousness. My plan for awhile is to meditate to this book for some time
What a simple and great explanation. I will always be open-minded, but I don't believe there is a greater truth perspective than that. I'm even a student of the Course in miracles, and I clearly see many similarities. Let's get back home!
