Awesome! Seems like a pretty good update. I like the additions and filling out the features to where a lot of people expected them to be. I knew from the start that this was a tinkerer's radio and I'm still glad I got one!

Cool. Did they fix the issue with the radio going into howling feedback when you attempt to record audio in the voice keyer? The last time I used my 6100 on a POTA activation I just about chucked the thing into the ocean after repeatedly blasting myself out. If you remember to turn the volume all the way down before recording, then you’re fine - but who does that by habit? No other radio that I’ve owned has that problem. I think the 6100 is a cool little radio but I got pretty fed up with it and I’ve been using a 705 lately. I really want to love the 6100, But it just hasn’t delivered for me yet.

To activate outbound CW stored messages you first have to press the APP button. Then modem, then make sure you are in CW. WITHOUT going back now hit MSG button. Now you will be in this automated environment where you have CW decode and the msg buttons will xmit.

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this rig for use in walkie-talkie mode with a short vertical antenna. What is the quality like now with the internal microphone ? I think when the radio was released, there were several issues with that internal mic. Thanks.

I ordered a X6100 yesterday as a sort of gift-to-self (I'm involved in politics and after next Tuesday, Election Day I am going to need some radio therapy). I am so excited about the timing!
