Can't overstate how amazing this is, ability to change EQ with remote was SO important! So happy that you added that, and the new colors for the analyser are also great to have. :) all other new features are also very well thought out, this is way bigger than a typical firmware update (for any device). This is a great example for why our RME forum is so important. You are always in touch with the developers directly. Hence, feature requests are way easier to do ;)
Outstanding. I just purchased the ADI-2 Pro FS this week and have listened to a variety of music. Loving it so far. Side note, I have a pair of AKG K701 headphones (for 7 years) and I have NEVER been impressed at all with them, they were below average in my opinion. The ADI-2 has brought them to life. Quite remarkable. Very impressed.
The encoder filter is huge and I feel like a lot of other companies would completely ignore those issues. Back when I used Antelope, my Zen Tour’s volume knob would jump sometimes by 20 dB when trying to adjust output level or input gains 🙄

I've owned the ADI-2 FS for a bit over a year now and I can't tell you how happy I am with it. This is one of the best, if not the best audiophile equipment that I have purchased in the past 10 years. Great work RME. You've made awesome products and keep up the amazing work!
Just received my RME ADI-2 DAC FS. Love it. How RME packs all of this functionality into a small package amazes me! Updating the firmware was easy and the EQ is very intuitive. Keep up the great work all.

Hi . I just love the RME ad 2 FS Dac ! Hi. Quick questions. 1) How to recall or toggle multiple EQ settings from my remote if I run out of dedicated buttons on remote. Meaning is there a way to toggle multiple EQ settings with just one dedicated remote button so that I don’t run out of dedicated buttons on my remote . 2) How to make my EQ setting ( my graphic display setting ) stay on the RME display indefinitely and not return back to any other screen like volume or the bouncing parametric display? Just keeps getting better. Thanks RME for the great product. In an upcoming updated, could you set something so you can specify/limit the output voltage from the xlr. E.g I’m feeding into an amp with 2.6Vrms. Think it works out to about 10.5dbu, would be great to have that locked to the max.
So, when you want the best, purest (identical to the source) sound from ADI -2 Pro FS XLR inputs (audio) you go for "none" filter mode? Or some other setting?
Hi there, I’m not sure if I would be able to get any advice on this but I’m wondering since the ADI 2 DAC FS has loopback functionality does that mean I could play for instance a high quality lossless file and record it and then store it as a WAV file or is the loopback only for DIGICHECK
How do you add so much complex features? I mean, things like output loopback is normally a thing that can only be done by hardware (wiring). Does this device contain an FPGA? Because FPGAs allow such fundamental changed to be done by programming.
I have a question. Is it possible to adjust how quickly the volume knob affects the volume? I want to be able to go from 0 to 100 volume with a single 360 degree turn of the knob. Interested in buying this DAC but I need fast volume response.
Merry Christmas! Matthias, quick question: I'm playing blu ray audio discs (hi res audio music in 24/96 resolution) and my ADI-2 DAC state overview only receives it as 24/48 and sometimes 16/48. I'm using optical connections. I know it's the Blu-Ray player at fault (Panasonic DMP-BDT360). What player does RME recommend to play hi-res audio discs into the ADI-2 DAC? I think I need a better player, so my ADI-2 receives proper 24/96 as the disc intends. I've tried adjusting every setting on the player and no luck.

That loopback function solves a few key problems. This thing is way more than a DAC. Far surpasses the audiophile and crosses over into the production side of things. Sample production can take advantage of EQ on every output. So many things.
Throughout 20 years I have tried all kinds of devices, ranging from middle level to pro level. Like Roland, Tascam, E-MU, UAD, Apogee, Antelope, Avid, you name it I tried it. There is nothing like the RME. By that, I mean right from the drivers which are so good that if something is not working properly then it's your computer not the drivers (unlike other interface vendors which fail constantly on the driver level). Right down to the features and build quality. It is as if somewhere at the top level of RME headquarters there's a group of people who always say "Look, we are not going to release that until it meets our known standard" which is very rare these days where a bunch of "product managers" are rushing releases (just look how Antelope was and is failing with their DSP plugins - read gear space forums). My friend is always laughing when I say to him that comparing RME to all other interfaces is like comparing an Eagle to a chicken. Been enjoying the ADI-2 line for some time now. Keep up the good work and stay on your logic.
Thank you RME for your precious work! A really unbelievable device. Cannot believe how much routing capabilities and well thought feature this device allready delivered and now with this current firmware update delivers. The possibility to use the EQ on the Output, and then on the Input as well (when using it as DAC/ADC for processing singals) is alone worth the price of "additional" outboard and is just there for free. Even on the Phone Outputs - (for which i already spent 4 of the 20 storage places). The EQ is a killer! The device is a killer! Just curious if you would be able to provide the USB 1/2 input to the Main Output 1/2 selector in "AC/DA Converter" Mode ;)
Moin, Toggle Ph/Line funktioniert bei mir nicht. Das Umschalten mit dem Volumebutton ist wohl ohne Funktion. Mit vs. Phones klappt es über den Sensor.. hab ich einen Denkfehler? Vol gedrückt halten
I would like to see some new features in the totalmix software. For example an option to lock channels in the totalmix mixer so while I'm mirroring an output i can exclude locked channles (inputs and software playback).
Why is there no blue colour available for the meter colour? You have two shades of green and two shades of orange but no blue? Purple would be nice too. Or better yet just let us select whatever colour we want from a colour wheel. It's a $2000 device, I'm sure it's possible..
Wonderfull, but I still wait for a mastering suite for ADI 2 Pro from RME. Knowing the serious, reliability and dedication of the brand it could be a great source of revenue
Ich habe folgendes Problem: Ich habe dieses Update durchgeführt. Vor dem Update war es und auch jetzt stoppt die Wiedergabe plötzlich von sich selbst. Ich habe im Player ASIO Madiface gewählt. Am Player liegt es nicht, denn ich habe die Treiber komplett deinstalliert und es hat auch ohne Treiber funktioniert. Das Gerät wurde im Windows erkannt. Ich habe nun die Treiber wieder installiert um das Update installieren zu können. Danke für die Antwort. Bernard
@@RMEAudio hallo, ich habe Support kontaktiert. Hier besagte Problem sei bei euch nicht bekannt. Der Mitarbeiter hat gefragt ob der Fehler mit einer anderen Software reproduzierbar ist. Ich habe es nicht getestet. Noch andere Sache: welche Lautstärke (dBu) sollte im LineOut Modus "normal " oder genügend sein? Der Wandeler ist mit XLR zu einem externen Kopfhörerverstärker angeschlossen. Danke
