You should do a new equestrian volunteer at the barn and add the bullies and/or know-it-alls in the mix... Been in that situation so many times and it's so annoying, lol!
@Lydia Fredd like I'd be doing something that I already know how to do and/or I'm asked to do something by a supervisor some other volunteer or boarder that works off their board at the barn asks me "what are you doing?", "If you don't know how to do something just don't do it and leave it alone and let us 'experts' (not that they applied that but I'm exaggerating) handle it" etc, etc and act like they have the right to micromanage and I'm just standing there holding myself back from snapping at them b/c I don't want to get in trouble or cause drama and have to confront to the actual manager about it. Like it's so aggravating!!! 😫😫😫
@@Catydid1996 I had a few people like that at the barn I used to work at, they would introduce themselves as “barn manager” but then they would be the same ones forgetting to do basic shit like blanket the horses when it’s cold. But they LOVED calling out other peoples mistakes 🙃
I just wanted to say that I just got done with my first horse show! It was honestly surreal! Thank you so much for being a huge part of my inspiration ❤️ And thanks for the awesome video as always!
I once had to tell all the other staff at the place I was working to NOT help one particular girl with anything. She was a master of "oh I can't do this, I really need your help" and getting people to do everything for her. What made it worse that she had specifically signed up for a horsemanship program where the whole point was to learn how to care for horses by yourself!
"I was on my way to dump some nuggets when I tripped and fell and now my ankle hurts I have 49 stalls heft to do" hahaha Thanks for more great videos Marina!!😁
WHEN THE GIRL GOT UP AND STARTED WALKING WITH HER HANDS FLAT OUT THE “DU DU DU DU DU DUDUDU” MUSIC STARTED PLAYINF AND I LAUGHED SO HARD I FELL OFF MY COUCH
There was a horse on the farm where I used to work who would only pee in the stall. He had free access to both the field and the stall. So, you'd need to close the door to clean it to keep him out. If you were cleaning it and he needed to go, he'd come up to the stall and pace around until you were done. I'm almost sure I saw him cross his legs a few times. And I think he had to pee so bad once that his eyeballs were floating.
I was scrolling through youtube, clicked on this, and didn't even realize it was new 😆I have watched mostly all of your videos and thought this mightve been an old one i hadn't seen
@@GypsyEquestrian when you’re done clean out the poop and pee you push all the extra old shavings onto the side you want them to poop on. It takes a bit but naturally they will poop and the old shavings! Even at shows they picks side and only poop in one spot 😂
A horse at my old barn would watch you muck out the stall and the moment you finished, put fresh bedding down, walked out and shut the stall door he'd drop a giant pile on your freshly mucked stall. Usually while staring you straight in the eye. He was also the one that you would spend getting an hour brushing (greys are the worst to groom and I swear they find the dirtiest place in the field on purpose) only to have him roll in something the moment your back was turned.
1:13 what kind of structure is that? Like what is it used for? Me and my uneducated self want to know because I’ve never seen something like that used with horses before.
The way the " new girl " walks 🤣 Hello, I have a VERY good idea of dressage but all the ways of the explanation aren't super clear to me. Does anyone have any knowledge on dressage?
Am I a weirdo? I’ve always wanted to muck out stalls with one of those manure rakes. And the smell is honestly not at all bad if the horses are eating right and not eating candy and dog food like I’ve seen some peoples do.
@@GreyGhostBreyers yeah.. :( it’s terrible for horses and their manure smells awful. Just gagging awful. Completely different smell to a normal horses diet. I can never understand how some people think that it’s okay. The horses seemed skinny and unhealthy. But I couldn’t do anything unfortunately as I was on vacation.
