I was bummed when Jason left. But, having been a fan of Andy for several years before he joined, I was beyond thrilled when he got the gig. I've always said, people who say 'There are no modern day guitar heroes.' have never heard guys like Andy James and Rick Graham. I mean, seriously go watch Andy's song 'Victory' and marvel at their playing. Amazing players.

I had doubts. Jason is unique and I really wasn't sure if Andy was going to be able to hit it. You guys came to Nampa last year and I was suitably impressed. Look. I like 5FDP but IF y'all have heard his solo instrumental stuff you'll realize he's playing with one arm tied in the band. Seriously. I dare anybody to truly listen to his last 3 releases and not consider Andy to be one of the top guitarists alive. Talent like his gets noticed. Several instrumental guitar heroes of mine have also found fame in established bands. Vinnie Moore has been in U.F.O. for decades. Marty Friedman landed the MegaDave gig. Satch of course is with Chickenfoot and Sammy now honoring the Van Halen/Sam Hagar legacy. But i wonder if the casual fan realizes the INCREDIBLE instrumental guitar stuff legends like Neal Schon and John Petrucci have released? I love bands of course but a well-crafted guitar instrumental is heaven to my ears. Andy. I'm waiting for your next instrumental masterpiece. Get on it bruv. 😂 🤘 I have a KILLER playlist of instrumental guitar on my YT if anyone is interested... of course that includes my favorite guitarist after the incomparable Randy Rhoads- Andy James. 🎸
