The young man seems to be very knowledgeable and employable, I don't believe a person walking away from a business deal should be judged negatively. Jimmy's body language should speak clear enough.. He was bummed that he quit, and he wasn't fired.

@@timmythepilot I don't even have a TV connected anymore. Everything it emits is worthless. The telescreen in orwells 1984 was never closer. My interface in the world must be different. I encounter so little good that even a person that is scum sometimes seems like a glimmer of hope compared to the average day to day bottom feeders. Week 1 of my apprenticeship and fresh out of school my instructor sent me to the stores for a 'Long Weight'. And off I went. The stores guy said 'OK, just wait over there son', and so I did. 30 minutes later he reappeared and said 'I think you have waited long enough. You can go now.'. It still took a second to sink in. I was met with lots of grinning faces when I got back to the workshop. I sorta saw the funny side though. At least I didn't get sent for 10 inch sky hooks.

Jimmy just watch the episode and still can’t believe I was sitting in that very hanger at the exact spot you were interviewing your potential hire at my glider add-on oral with the DPE. I have several pictures of the red 310 which is around behind the hanger now. And that stearman is gorgeous in the air. Keep up the great content !! When I was 14 I worked for a flight school at KDTN as a lineboy/gopher. Too young to work for cash, but bartered a day's work for .75 hrs dual instruction. Day one... they sent me on foot, to the opposite end of the airport to the Currey-Sanders Beechcraft hangar to pick up a 5 gallon can of prop wash. The old guy that owned the flight school had a massive heart attack and lost his medical for life. He owed me 35 hours of flight time, I never got paid for.😕☹️

Worked for a gliderport under a similar deal. I did get all the flight time I was promised, but when they suddenly sold the property, my log book that had been kept onsight was lost forever. Couple years later when I started flight school in a 150 they did try to solo me at 1.7 hrs so the experience wasn't lost, just the hours.

@@JohnSmith-ol2qu Thanks for the suggestion but that sort of flying is for more of a thrill seeker than myself. All I want is to hop into a lower wing twin engine and take to the skies. I'd do the procedures to learn, but there's also a medical/medication issue that would likely stop my training in its tracks. (Maybe in my next life :-) I suppose I could look into license-free - what's it called - experimental? Canadian laws are different, now, but maybe I could qualify.

Gave him a request chit for pU-55y and the e-1 turned in to the division office, butter bar new ensign searched our supply data base for 3 hours before he called the shop and asked if we had the part number right. Also got a newbie to stand on the fan tail with a gaff in dress blues waiting for the mail bouy to float by, or sent new guy down with a box of canned tuna to feed the shaft alley seals.

I was flying my Jabiru 55/3J from YWVA to YLRD and looked down at the road off my Port wing and was disgusted when I was being past by a car towing a caravan (travel trailer). The ole antifreeze under the plane and in the cowl of a aircooled engine is a classic my A&P got me when i brought in the 152 for a odd mag run he replaced 2 spark plugs came out and he had a pan of antifreeze under the plane Says you know what this means?! You might put an add in the Moscow version of Craigslist. Not getting political, but there appears to be more mechanics than planes in SW Russia. Now, just to be honest, what are you trying to accomplish in your hangar? Hate to say it, but watching you jumping from frame to frame and never seeing the finalization of even one project is frustrating and keeps some of us wondering about the level of support we are giving. The Reverend needs to have a heart to heart with the congregation.
