I think this letter is individually a very good effort and what sheikh hamza is doing for education of Muslims is very enlightening however politically to deal persons like Netanyahu we might have to develop different strategy but being insignificant and not having stature we are unable to make an effect. So Muslims instead of acting rash should seriously try to improve themselves and if they are bestowed by Almighty to have a person like hazrat omar to lead them then there affairs might be right. These gifts are given by Almighty when we change our selves and there is no shortcut. Instead of pointing our fingers to sheikh I think he is putting great effort in education and that is his domain. Politically if he is wrong then we should not forget his good works and it's not sheik hamza who is responsible for the situation in gaza but our Muslims leaders. Non violence will never work. I just don't understand Shaykh Hamza's opinion on Palestine. He knows about Malcolm X, if Malcolm was alive, I'm very much sure he would support resistance and criticize these non violence preachers. I deeply love SHY but I'm really disappointed.
Even after a military conflict, war is only "WON" after a treaty is signed between the two parties. I'm sure there were people like you who criticized Salahuddin when he let the crusaders go back to Europe safely instead of fighting them, and capturing Al-Quds(Jerusalem) without a fight. Modern day wars are fought with economic leverage, sanctions and investments. The only solution you see is military conflict because you want instant gratification for your emotions towards the suffering of the people of Palestine; instead of a long term permanent solution for them. Economic leverage of the Arab states on Israel make them dependent on the oil rich Arab states and distancing them from the USA. This means that the Arab states now control the policymaking within Israel. And the Arab gulf states want a one state solution which means Israel and Palestine merge into one state with equal citizenship, voting rights and government participation for both Muslims and Jews. Both Israel and Palestine will die and a new state would be born with new laws in place, without the control of the USA, essentially erasing Zionism from the middle east.

Salam. « Hamza » is how you call your buddy in the neighborhood. Sheikh Hamza Yusuf is how you dignify the one who has spent his life in the cause of truth, the sunnah and the Quran. Credibility is not a badge of honour that is in the form of publications and social credit. Credibility is your relationship with Allah SWT. Clearly you need to work on your own instead of being a troll behind a screen. Permission to a lot of things have been given dear brother. Its your ability to control upon the permitted things that grant you a great place in the hereafter.
