If I was to use this particular camera without the NVR , but had a memory card in and plugged into my router is line crossing available or is this feature only possible with the nvr. Thanks
i have several of these cameras and i am very impressed with them, i dont need the light on as they work perfect without them on, what i want to know is there any way that the light can be activated via intrusion detection or something similar to use as a deterrant." light only come on when intrusion detection is activated."
Dave, can you take a more in depth look at the Gen2 access control systems you showed us a few weeks back? Integration with existing cams/nvrs, alarms etc and what can be done as part of a wider deployment would be very useful. Very few videos out there on this atm.
Everything about this camera is frankly amazing. On top of the color night performance which is something ive been dreaming about, it has a built in mic! I've been wondering for years why Hikvision has failed to put built in mics on their cameras. Well, they're finally here!
Good morning, I love these videos, very informative and have made my mind up as these cameras look awesome for a home setup. One question I have though, do you have to run a separate wire for the audio or is that taken back via the POE and straight into the dvr? I'm hoping the latter as it would make things so easy with camera connections and wiring. Thanks
Hi and thanks for the kind comments, with the Audio its integrated into the product and will be on the same data connection, you just need to enabled audio function on the NVR and change stream type to video and audio on both main stream and sub stream on the NVR video and audio settings 😊
Hi I’ve just purchased a HIKvision turret ,I’m using a back box to fit to the wall ,and using the gland on the side of it to pass the Ethernet cable threw , but when tightening down ,the rubber grommet is supposed to seal but mine does not even hold the cable , is there options 🤔🤷♂️
yes some don’t seal when using cat5 cable only , I wrap self-amalgamating tape around the cable and then insert into the gland and tighten down onto that, it will give a really good seal
Hi, you mentioned in the comments you have another model that flashes the led light when you set off the motion, but you gave the same model number as the one in video. Can you give the model number of the model that flashes when motion is set off please? Thank you
Hi, could you tell me, Do these cameras work on a setup without Internet? And also there's such a vast difference on online pricing for them, ive noted that most of them are a fixed dome type that im seeing, they look slightly smaller than this version but can you still rotate the dome etc? Many thanks
prices online will vary , and yes they can be used without internet but only recording locally with no app function, the domes still have the rotate function , turrerts are the most popular model now
Do you have a video for recommended recording setting for video parameters? FPS, bitrate etc? I have the DS-2CD2347G1-LU 2.8mm and IDS-7204HUHI DVR and want to make sure I’m using the right settings. Thanks
Hi, I have the DS-7608NI-K2/8P NVR with firmware version V4.30.005 build 200628 . To that I have a DS-2CD2347G1-LU connected. For the life of me I cannot find the External Devices tab, to turn the white light on/off, anywhere on the NVR directly or anywhere when logged into the NVR via a browser. I have tried Internet explorer, Microsoft Edge and Opera, all to no avail. I have added the Web components but nothing changes. I have tried to access the camera's IP address which is shown in the Configuration/ Camera Management/ Ip Camera, tab but neither browser can access the address. The same for the camera's IP address on the package box. Any ideas, please, for where I am going wrong?
Hi , you can find it in the Camera web , to access this via the NVR Internet explorer, on the NVR go to configuration , network , advanced , others , then enable “ virtual host” and apply, the go back to the camera management tab and each camera will have a hyperlink to access the camera direct from that menu 😊
@@DVSLTD Great, thank you, much appreciated. I would never have worked that out. I guess that I would learn all of this, if I attended an installers course?
Hi can you tell me what exposure setting you’re using in exposure time white balance setting WDR level + image enhancement as I can’t get it as good as you my friend Paul from Wales UK
Hi Paul, the Exposure is set to 1/12 by default and WDR as off, make sure there like this , and hopefully it will improve , good to see another from wales here 😊
G'day mate, I own a new IDS NVR which runs the DeepinMInd GUI natively. When I log via browser to access settings, I cannot find the settings that will normally enable me to turn the LED light on or off. Can you you please follow this up and let us know for those who own the DeepinMind GUI where this option setting is? Thanks
@@DVSLTD Thanks for responding mate, really appreciate it. My NVR is the Hikvision IDS-9632NXI-I8/16S 32CHANNEL DEEPINMIND SERIES NVR | IDS-9632NXI-I8/16S. I can access the IE GUI of the NVR but the option that you showed on one of your video to turn the LED light ON/OFF is not visible. I also tried using different browsers including older versions of IE...but still the same. I own 16x Colorvu cameras which I have not installed yet simply because I want to disable the LED light and hope to set it up so that it only comes on when an event is triggered. These colorvu cameras are amazing at night.
@@Chavacano Hey , I see , the issue you will have is the colorvu doesn’t support the light linkage , so we cant turn it on when there is motion or VCA actually , its either on auto or timed schedule sorry ☹
Great video. Is there a way to get this camera to fire the white light only for a set time? For example, line crossing event the camera shines the white light for say 30-60Sec and then turns off again?
DVSLTD apparently this is possible on this Australia page. Firmware available half way down the page. www.securityperth.com.au/security-cameras-perth/hikvision/colorvu-fixed-turret-network-camera personally I don’t use the light on mine as it is good without for me. Maybe a test case for you?
DVSLTD wow I’m sure that company has replies to a video and someone says it works but it’s a lower version. Thanks. I dont use the light anyway as not needed but I see people asking all the time about it.
So if I need a camera that will positively ID someone they need to be virtually walking underneath it? Doesn’t seem right. Wouldn’t I be better off getting an 8mp model and install a bright and even LED flood light so subjects aren’t either in the dark in the distance or washed out in the foreground? TIA.
If it’s private property or in public, you’re completely fine to record audio without permission, WA atleast, I’m sure it’s fine nation wide though. If my camera picks up your voice while you’re on my property, then you shouldn’t have stepped foot on my property.
@@DVSLTD I think that comment has just made my decision making harder between the ColorVu and the AcuSense. Do I get the ColorVu in the hope that it does arrive or go with the available feature already. Hmmm
Hi David, if you have a NVR that has POE ports then the NVR will power this up the Cat5e / Cat6 cable that you will have or install , so no separate PSU is Required , if you don’t have a NVR with POE ports then it needs to be powered with 12VDC or use a POE switch
Is there a way to set up these cameras to turn on the LED light when motion is detected at a certain location? then turn the LED off after a few minutes of no motion? Would be a great feature to have.
Hi , currently we don’t support motion to turn the light on , its been looked at , the AcuSense range can use motion to turn the white light and sound on if needed 😊
@@DVSLTD that's too bad.. I have little need for a speaker or such. And having the led on all night will likely be too much for every night residential use. Would be a great feature to have as it turning on with motion would scare a potential bad guy, not to mention make them look directly at the camera.
I currently have these cameras connected to the I series NVR and when viewing configuration online I don't have the external devices tab.. do you know why ? The other one I managed to turn the light off in my situation I find it better with the light off but can't remember how I managed it last time 🙈
Hello mate - I am not able to get any audio in my playback. Why is that? The recording stream is both "video&audio" and I have put the audio sensitivity as 100, but still no audio in the playback. In the live view I can hear the audio, but nothing in the playback. Any suggestions?!
Hi , is the “video&audio” on both main stream and sub-stream ?, and also please go to the storage section where you would set the storage schedule, then under that camera please select the “advanced /more” option and then enable the audio tick box.
@@DVSLTD Hello mate - another question. I changed my camera password for it to be different than the NVR login password. But on doing so, it shows the user has been locked out and the camera is not visible on the NVR monitor anymore. Not sure why this happened. Any clue?
Use Internet explorer , please uninstall the web components from control panel and uninstall programme, then clear the cache on IE, then install web components again when you web browse back into the camera, that should resolve
I’ll give it a try , sounds a bit confusing , I ain’t that clued up with computers , a lot a people seemed to be having the same problem with it , any chance you could upload a video ?
When I try to web browse into my DVR live view, it just shows blank squares on the page. It works fine on my phone app, so it can't be the connection. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi , what web connetion are you using , ? internet explorer 11 should work fine , then install the plugin if asked , then select camera on left to view or press play 😊
@@DVSLTD I've sorted the issue now. I had the 'enable stream encryption' box checked. The problem is the onscreen menu has it shortened to 'enable stream'. It's only until you 'mouse' over it then it displays the full text. This has had me stumped since I set my system up over a month ago. Hope this helps for anyone else. Thank you anyway, I'm sure I'll require your assistance again 👍
Hi mate, love the videos! Would you be able to do a review on the 5mp colourvu, I've noticed you mainly focus on the ip cameras. Unfortunately I've only got shotgun cables run at our home. I've just purchased a hikvision ds7204 huhi dvr. I'm very interested in the 5mp colour vu. I take it the quality is still there on the analogue model too. Also are there any future plans to fetch out the blsck or grey model of these as supposed to the white ones available at the minute.
Hi , thanks for the feedback, I can look at one albeit I have done one in the past , we also now do have black models of the 5MP ColourVu , so HIK are making them 😊
@@m146ocx I’ve got the 5MP DS-2CE72HFT-f28 camera and the 4MP DS-2CD2347G1-LU 2.8mm IP camera and the IDS-7204HUHI DVR. I’m finding the 4MP camera is a better quality picture? What did you get in the end?
@@DVSLTDoke, but I have try with recorder on my android and when I upload the audio file to the acusense camera, it's sounds like a horror monster 👹 sound. Or a big scratched sound. But IOS recorder I haven't tryed.
Hello, thanks for the video, just wondering on how do you access the inbuilt microphone on this camera? i've unscrewed the O ring that comes out like you did, just so you can drill it in, but how do you get inside so you can wire it to the cable so you can wire it up to the NVR etc? Also what cables would you need for this?
I've plugged CAT 6 into the camera to the NVR, video works well and a 12 volt DC Power Supply into the camera but no audio is getting picked up, do you have any ideas?, thanks heaps
You don't need to do any wiring, It is an IP camera so the audio can be embedded with the video with just changing some settings, if you have NVR then go to the recording section, or if its standalone access directly the camera video setting and choose audio&video from the dropdown.
Can you tell me if you could mount it flat on an outside wall without any other additions like a junction box or stuff like that? is there enough cabling room in the back to fold up the cable?
Any idea what recorder should be sufficient for 4 of those? Might take 8ch for future upgrade :) I hope they add motion to the bright LED. I'll have it turned of for now anyway...
Hi. How do you turn off the light on the outside of the colorvo cameras? Ive been through every setting i can find but cant see anyway of turning it off.
Hi jason , on the IP model , please login to the camera via the web interface and under settings and maintaince or system depending there is a sub menu called external device, you can adjust it there , and under image settings, you can change it to day mode also
@@jasonking1948 Hi jason , is the camera plugged into the POE port of the NVR?, if yes then please login to the NVR and navigate to the network and advanced section under the web , and then more settings and enable virtual host , then under settings tab look for camera management and click on the hyperlink next to the camera you want to access and this should then bring the correct web browser up
@@DVSLTD Hi there Daitech. Is there a way of logging into the IP camera setting remotely ? I'm assuming I need first port forwarding from 65001 to 65016. Is there any other way through IVMS 4200 ? Thank you
do you mean NVR ?, the best method is to log into the IP camera direct and make the changes to the light setup there, if you have a DVR with Turbo Camera , you can open the PTZ control and press menu button to navigate the camera OSD and change the settings there,
You can login to the nvr and if camera is connected to the nvr poe ports that’s still ok. Download SADP tool and find device on the network , then this will allow you to web login using IE and that IP address . Login to nvr and go to configuration, network ,advanced , others and enable “virtual host” , then go to system , camera management and login to camera using hyperlink
Hi , the light on this camera replaces the IR function to give a good colour image at night , it can also be scheduled , we have flashing light and sound models also though
Just reading the previous comments. It's a shame the light cant come on when motions detected like a normal PIR security light. Do you think colorvu are the future, better than a dark fighter? I'm thinking of buying this exact camera for my property. Thanks
Hi , it’s something we are working towards to get that function , and the colouvu is outstanding technology , I think it’s one of the best out there, the only consideration would be if its Pitch black and you DON’T enable the white light for some reason then the image would be poor , whereas Dark fighter has the ins built IR . 😊
Yes , 99% of our cameras have built In IR for areas with no light or the new white light range that helps to illuminate the area with white light , we also have Darkfighter technology built in to a lot of the models in IP
Hi Ryan and thanks , currently this ColourVu is full time white light when the light level drops , we do a PIR Bullet and Turret that has the flashing white light when PIR & motion is detected if this helps?
Hi, I have the colorvu camera with led light.. I get a red Circle in the middle of the Image on all of the cameras when the light is turned on.. what could be causing this?
I cant seem to find the option to turn the light on my Camera please can u help me. i found a video online but the option just isn't there on my nvr. thank you
@@blakea2219 Hi, to change the light setting please use the camera IP address and internet explorer, once logged into the camera direct you can then go to maitaince tabs and see the External device sub tab 😊
Hi All, I have 3 x 4MP colorvu IP cameras but have had issues in totally Dard inviroments when the LED is disabled. this is what I have found:- personally I found it is better to turn off the LED light as the image is still very good without the light even in total darkness, it still looks like daylight however the resolution of the image does drop slightly. With the light off it also stops the LED attracting insects and spiders to gather around the lens and also rain and snow is not illuminated by the LED so the image is not blocked by illuminated rain. THE PROBLEM I HAD IN VERY DARK AREAS One problem I have had with my 3 colorvu cameras 1 x camera is at the front of the house and works great. The 2 at the rear work perfectly in the day but at the dead of night the refresh rate of the image drops down to every 10 seconds. HOW I FIXED THE PROBLEM I have found the best fix to this was running H.265 and dropping the max bitrate to around 500 - 1500kbps dropping the bitrate seams to get the image working again back to a good frame rate. The reason it only effected the 2 x rear cameras was due to the extremely low light levels. However the low bit rate causes problems in the day with sections of the image being grainy and so I have now opted back for the LED function set at max 10% in auto and this keeps the image smooth and clear in totally dark environments. I Hope this helps
I love colour night vision but really don't like the idea of the light being permanently on attracting attention. Black and white night vision isn't as good but doesn't attract attention.
Hello there - is it possible for you to do a review video for this Hikvision camera on similar settings as shown in this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xerYRR4i7_4.html Will help appreciate if DS-2CD2347G1-L(U) is at par with, or better than NSC-NITECOLOR-DM2 Thanks!
G'day mate. You reckon you can run through some more high end Hikvision products, like the IDS premium NVR....there are some of us who own these more high end products sadly.....and have no frekin idea how to setup... dumb but true. I speak for all the dumb cunts like myself out there who are too afraid to share the truth...that we are simply dumb... Cheers.
This camera is ridiculous it did not see your face from the other end of the room you’re in darkness when you walk past the camera the light was so bright it whited out your face having these on a domestic property would never be acceptable from a customer’s point of view. You kept on saying it was hurting your eyes how would a customer feel if this was in their porch it would blind them in the face what a ridiculous product
