I’m sold, but next time it would be helpful to see the quality with a person walking in front of the cam and looking into it to see how it gets facial features in low light.
Are the NiteColor cameras compatible with a Lorex NVR, PoE, 2 way audio, and siren? Can the lights be "motion activated" rather than leaving on all the time?
Hey Don, You should be able to add these via ONVIF to the Lorex NVR. They will not be plug n play. ONVIF only guarantees a live view and 24/7 recording. To access the nitecolor functions, you'll have to log into the camera directly from a PC. The lights are not motion activated unfortuantely.
Great video. I have the turret up and running but one issue I have is complete washout when you are within 15ft. Even in your vid when you were holding your laptop, you became a white object just from the light of the screen. I tried everything to sort it but to no avail. If you want to ID someone closeup, the white led’s need to be turned off. Just wondering, in what situation would someone need to use the bullet version?
@@NellysSecurity maybe something to look at. The Night owl, I think is the brand, has motion triggered flood lamp and camera. it follows you as you walk in front of it.
@Nelly's Security can this be used without a NVR? Can it connect to the guardian vision app like the video doorbell? I assume its not wifi so I would run cat 5 to my router?
Yes you can use the cameras as standalone without an NVR. You will use a POE injector or switch, using that you can power the camera as well as connect it to your router for network access.
I enjoyed this video. It would have been nice to see how it performed with the garage lights on also. Also, a sign at different distances so we could see the clarity/resolution from 30 feet, 50 feet, so on. How does it do with reflective surfaces like license plates? Blessings.
I'm new to this, what is the difference between this, 4mp, 8mp, 4K, so on? I would rather not have people be able to see where the camera is since I have a ranch home so no way to put them up high (vandalizes). Also, people can see if you have cams from using their cell phone to see if you have cams by the camera inferred lights so normal lights would be very obvious too. I need a very low light camera. Also, what about a remote light for cameras? www.iluminarinc.com/ or is that not work with these lights or do you sell such an item? My thinking is at least the lights are not pointing out where the camera is at night.
I see it's a Rebranded or OEMd spec built Hikvision camera based on the web UI. Does this thing have the nasty "can't configure the camera from osx or Windows 10 because of activeX controls requirement"?
Those are very good cameras. Any idea if a F/W upgrade to the camera will incorporate a "trigger" that can be used via phone apps NVMS7000 or IVMS4500?
@@NellysSecurity Yes, maybe by using one of the "Alarm Output" toggles or one of the PTZ buttons on the app when the camera is selected. Hope this makes sense.
