These three are beautiful as a trio my dudes these are SOLID!! I think I nailed some good typings but name some better typings if you got them!

It’s kinda curious how in the trailer Torchic was running up and Cyndaquil fell back, Piplup waking up and Oshawott was sleeping, and Rowlet was flying away leaving Snivy there. It’s like they were all saying “you’re up next”.

The fact that Pokémon loves to give us history lessons by what they are based off of and type matchups as well as strategy, is proof this genre could be seen as learning games.

I think Jeanne d'Arc is more famous and more suitable to be a starter as Fire/Fairy (or Pshychic) type. She was burned by the people she tried to save after all. Also I will like to see a Water/Fighting type Empoleon and Grass/Steel type Serperior.

I can imagine a blaziken that is more focused on ra and Egypt to represent the European and French obsession with ancient Egypt, and it also has ties to when napoleon invaded Egypt. But there is also the fact that the French national animal is the rooster

With people talking about the mega thing, theres a couple of things to note: 1. No one said the starters were even getting megas 2. It doesn't matter if blaziken already has a mega, cause its regional variant would be getting it.

imagine the reason why blaziken was one of the first megas shown to us was because the rooster is France's national animal lol

another point to snivy as a choice is serperior is depicted on the gate leading to Parfume Palace. that palace is also quite old, so it'd make sense to have them on the gate if snivy used to be found there (and if we're right about it being the rebuilding of Paris in 1853-1870) but that does put a kink in the theory of the starters getting new forms, but they could still get new megas and it still work.

Blaziken becoming Fire/Flying is like how Dartrix went from Grass/Flying to Grass/Fighting, making it to me all the more possible

YO Blaziken being inspired by King Louis would explain why in the anime Blaziken Mask (a vigilante so to speak) would USE Blaziken. A reference to a king of the past that helped transform Kalos. That on top of Mega Blaziken would show the "power of the past"

Okay, I just realized something about Empoleon at the end of your video. I think you're absolutely right that it's going to continue to be based on Napoleon, it's in the pokemon's name you can't escape it. HOWEVER, as you mentioned earlier in the video there is another Napoleon who was also the emperor, and he's most famous for transforming Paris into the "City of Lights". Kalos Empoleon Water/Electric typing. BOOM.

Every time Ttar mentioned the ‘the sun king’ all I could think of was Sun Wukong and infernape. Obviously they have no correlation to France

Blaziken makes sense because it’s the National bird of France, France's association with the rooster comes from a play on words: the Latin word gallus means both “Gallic” and “rooster”. That is why its image appears on Gallic coins since ancient times

I'm not sure if I'm feeling this one to be honest. People expected the same thing during the ORAS Starter Mega-Evolution trailer, where they showed Pokemon Shiftree and Torkoal iirc and people thought that meant these two would get Megas, as the trailer also showed other Pokemon with Mega-Evolution.

the 7 star tera raids usually come in waves like how they are doing now with the kanto trio. there was a tera flying blaziken and a tera ice empoleon as of recent. my theroy serperior is coming next.

I think Serperior should be a flying type. Winged serpents are a symbol used in European heraldry, and one was featured on the arms of a french house.

The thing with Torchic is, while the rooster is France's national animal, it already has a mega; so unless they don't give megas to the starter and just go with regional forms and instead gives megas to the kalos starters, it seems not that probable, cuz that would give Blaziken 2 megas, and only charizard and mewtwo got that honor

Honestly, I hope we get a P. Wooper -> Clodsire situation, where its a regional evolution. Instead of evolving into Blaziken, it evolves into something else. This would let them have megas that wouldn't be exclusive to a certain form, but rather a whole new Pokemon entirely.

I have a theory that the final boss and synchro machine will be big parts of the story. My prediction is we use the synchro machine to control and plays as perfect Zygarde to fight the A Pokemon in a giant Kaiju fight.

These starters also tie into the starter Tera Raids we’ve had recently in SV. Off the back of the 3 hisuian starters, we had Blaziken (tera flying) and then Empoleon (tera ice). This is also the order they appeared in the trailer for the indigo disk. They’ve done the Kanto starters now, but this seems like a Pokémon-Day adjacent release. My money is on the next starter raid announced to be a grass type, and Serperior seems like the favourite, what with the French stuff and the order of appearance in the ID trailer. Finally the Tera types. I am convinced these are the new typings. Blaziken Fire/Flying, Empoleon Water/Ice - just waiting on that Serperior Raid now…

Fire/Flying Water/Ground Grass/Electric. Agree with the blaziken, but serperior can paralyze oppents with glare so that's why I say Electric. And it forms another triangle when you do ground for empoleon.

I love all three of these starters, and I have very strong opinions about starters, I would be very happy if these were the ones we got

ontop of others saying Blaziken being a rooster making him the national animal of France, we can instead replace the Muay Thai inspiration behind it's stance with the French kicking Martial Art, Savate. It just popped into my head at the end.

This is so crazy, usually I see a theory and I'm like "well I guess that could be true," but with this one I'm honestly almost 100% confident. Which is a shame, because I had my own theory I was planning to make a video on, but now I'm convinced my theory was wrong

I think the fire starter will be Cinderace since France is known for soccer, and Blaziken already having an alternate form. (I know Cinderace has gmax but I wouldn’t count that)

I honestly hope the fire is not Torchic, even though it seems many people do. I feel like having any of the gen 3 starters (or gen 1 but that’s unlikely) is unfair as they already had their time to shine in gen 6. I’d rather another starter get some love!

Way back before Serperior was even seen, I thought Snivy would evolve into a grass/dragon. If Snivy turns out to be a starter for ZA, and it ends up being part-dragon, like 15 years later after I predicted it and it got debunked, I would lose my shit. It would just feel vindicating. Torchic, I don't know if they'd make it a starter because of Mega-Blaziken, and also it feels weird for the starters to be 2 birds and 1 reptile; they usually do mammal, bird, and reptile. There are only 2 other fire-type starters that are mammals, don't have mega-evos, aren't originally from Kalos, don't overlap a region with other starters here, and don't have a regional/ancestral form, Scorbunny and Litten. Litten seems most likely to me if they're doing a royalty theme; Incineroar, King of the Ring, there are a lot of famous French wrestlers, there might be something to do with the Gauls, a primal people of ancient France. There is a French breed of rabbit, however; the French Lop, also soccer is very popular in France. Kalos Incineroar I'd guess fire/fighting; it'd be funny. Kalos Cinderace I'd guess fire/electric; maybe some kind of fluffy static motif. Kalos Empoleon I'd guess water/flying or water/fairy; the irony of penguins can't fly, and there's a species of penguin called the fairy penguin. So, grass/dragon or grass/steel, fire/fighting or fire/electric, and water/flying or water/fairy.

For Blaziken as a Fire/Flying type I'd very much like to think that he'd be similar to Hawlucha which was fighting/flying but was more of a glider than flyer. With this we could assume that Blaziken would still have his full fire/fighting move pull but add in a handful of flying moves that only a glider could learn.

Calling it now, this submission/Ttar are spot on, the three starters for Pokémon A-Z are going to be Snivy, Torchic, and Piplup. With each starter representing a phase of the French Revolution in terms of leadership. You start out with Snivy representing King Louis The 16th and the French Monarchy, then Torchic as the national animal of France representing the nation itself in the form of the people overthrowing said monarchy via the flames of anarchy, then finally ending with Piplup as Napoleon coming to power and eventually crowning himself as Emperor of France.

I think it would be best for every starter that didn't get one previously to get a mega, including gen 9. That way even if starters that already have a different form like Blaziken are given a second one it won't feel too bad since the other fire starters can also keep up or at least aren't completely ignored.

Honestly a flying blaziken would be incredible if they turn the points on its head into wings, and make it look something like the concept art from way back in the day

I think its important to remember that the Hisuian starters still followed the trio-matchups type wise grass-fighting > Water-dark > fire ghost With this in mind, i think a cool matchup for this trio would be Fire-ground > Grass-Steel > Water-ice

torchic is obvious with how it was a release game mystery event with speed boost. so they're probably gonna pay homage to that event

I’m thinking they could do those three, but keep the original kalos theme of fantasy classes. If they did it could be a hero/musketeer empoleon that’s water/fighting, a knight serperior that’s grass/steel, and a cleric blazeken that’s fire/fairy. This also makes a type triangle.

Good guess but if youre going with Water/Psychic, i think they will be Grass/Fighting and Fire/Dark, so it gets balanced thru each one (also thats the dual type of the original Kalos Starters but with different starter types this time for the Grass and Water)

Coincidentally, there were Blaziken and Empoleon 7 star raids not too long ago, with Blaziken's Tera Type being Flying, and Empoleon's Tera being Ice. So, if we end up getting a Serperior 7 star raid after the Kanto Starter ones end, then Serperior's Tera Type would probably be the hint for it's secondary typing in the New Legends game, assuming they would be the starters of that game that is.

I believe they will do something similar yo hisui types, where the seconday types interacted with each other as well, fire / ghost beeing good against grass / fighting, grass / fighting being good against water/ dark. A psych fight steel trio would be nice, like grass / fight, water / psyc and fire / steel. Serperior leading more to the unarmored fighting and becoming and attackar instead of a defesne Knight, Blaziken being more of a king with full plates and crowns, and empoleom being more of a strategic and focused on leadership

I would love to see serpierior be a grass/steel type since we really only have one line and then one ultra beast with it. I also think that adding some metal to Serpierior like through a crown and maybe some armor. The only thing that makes me worry is that this would make Serperior 4x weak to fire

If blaziken got a form based on the egytian gods, fire/flying could actually relate him to multiple gods. Ra is the sun god, and Horus is the sky god. Both of which are depicted as bird-headed men. It's also said that Ra was the father of Horus or that at one time, they were of the same being. I'd live to see something other than fire/flying because we see a lot of that. I'd like if blaziken got Fire/ground as Ra is seen as the creator of all things. More importantly Ra is believed to have created humans, animals, and even the land itself. Giving him ground typing is like adding a "nature" tag onto him.

5:43 The separate Serperior evolution could maybe wield a sword in each hand, and do a little spiraling dual sword attack. It'd be like how Palpatene does his midair spinning lightsaber attack in Episode 3 of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. There's a potential versatility and elegance in a Serperior possibly using it's little hands to draw swords, and coil towards something with them. On ground level, or midair.

Grass fighting is good too, suits the knight theme as well

Pokémon Insurgence really did predict all of things that Pokémon eventually did. From Deltas becoming regional variants, the lore between Arceus and Giratina, to creating delta Blaziken which is a flying bird (but obviously based on Egyptian mythology and not French medieval lore)

Really hoping the fire starter won't be Charmander or Torchic since they already got megas. Yet again, Torchic and Scorbunny would be some of the better fire options for Kalos.

I'm trying to think of any type combinations that would be 4x weak to the super effective starter but also a triangle within the 2nd typing themselves also trying to make it with the grass/steel serperior closest I have is grass/steel 4x weak to fire, water/rock 4x weak to grass, and fire/ice not 4x weak to water maybe the 2nd typing being a triangle is a bit too much the serperior being like an emperor/knight is a cool idea and I never noticed how much the front of serperior looks like a Fleur De Lis

my first thought for french blaziken would be some kind of french chef - chicken and egg/omelet recipes, etc. But also le coq sportif is the old french sportswear company so maybe a more athletic/less fighting oriented blaziken?

Plot twist Xerneas Yvetal and Zygarde are the starters but they are the pre empowered forms of them. Like xerneas is a deer yvetal is a random bird and zygarde is a small snake

Been telling people this. It seems very likely and we probably get regional forms instead of new mega for theses starters. Also we got 7 star raid boss in a weird group since New year. Starting with Blaziken with Flying Tera and Empoleon with Ice tera. If we get Serperior next, it’s pretty much 80-90% confirm they are starters. Not to mention, this set of starters came after Hisuian 7 star raid set at the end of 2023

One interesting thing to note: the headmaster of blueberry academy (I forget his name) uses a tera rock serperior as his ace in battle. This might just be a competitive choice, but given the current speculations, I wonder if this choice mean something more.

Another possibility for Blaziken is having them become a Musketeer type pokemon

If they got rid of the like two wings of hair comming off blazikens head and put them on the shoulders, it could double as wings and when not in flight, a cape like royalty often has.

I never watched the trailer abt the other 2 starters…i did 100% convince myself of Snivy cause Serperior is on the gate in front of parfum palace. They’d be messing up huge time if he wasn’t the grass starter, but after watching this, I’m convinced the other two are piplup and torchic. As far as regional forms I got no clue lol. I’ll go with your king guesses lolol

I would also like to see updated versions of the gen 1 starters as they were given to us in XY. But like all of their forms, not just their final evo. Updated with the newer design philosophy. A new bulbasaur would go so hard for me
