Great seeing you slowly getting the shop cleaned up and better organized. It takes time now, hopefully you'll save more by not hunting for what you need.
By the looks of the little bit of weld I wonder if they were just trying it to see if it wrapped and maybe you should try it before you weld them permanently, just a thought. I think it's going to wrap up with hay only because there's nothing stopping it from wrapping in long ropey hay it will work good in short stuff I think
O yes it always pays to have a backup haybine if your into the hay business We run 1400 acres with 2 JD 946, 1 JD 935, 1 JD 930 an a few new hollands in their to but its nice to have a backup even if u always carry a huge inventory of parts!

gehl parts are really expensive after they quit making ag equipment. you made a good investment in the 2303. that tractor will wear out the new header before you have any major problems with it.
I don't think I would have left the dealer without those hyd. fittings unless they dropped the price enough to buy new ones. I forsee more work on the cross auger.
Is the gap in the central opening wider with this new header than with the original head? It looks to me that you will be running on the edge of the swath with wheels - which may not matter of course but might make rowing up the crop more difficult.

+Aps Ofny It was struck by lightening. Most likely frying the electronic controls. He did a vid about it and commented on what the problem most likely was.
Wes why don't you letter up some of the machines like the wind rower get a nice pandy farms logo on them with your number good advertising. I get it though if somebody doesn't like u it makes it easier for them to target you and I know you've had issues in the past. Love the new cutter good luck with it
Hey Wes, if you don't mind sharing, what do you average per ton for mulch hay up there? We been in the horse hay business for 25 years and it's been good to us. Naturally there's ups and downs. We've been real dry this spring in NC and it looks like the La Niña change is going to shift bringing a lot of moisture to eastern US this summer. Good luck to you sir. Enjoy the videos!
John Kyle appears to be a troll. I was just curious. There is no mulch hay market to speak of where we are and I'm sure not going to haul it up north. I'm smart enough to know its not going to be as much per ton as good hay is. So if he thinks I was trying to move in on a market that's funny as hell. I thought the rollers (hay conditioner) were the cat's ass for speeding up hay drying and minimizing leaf loss when turning it over. I can see it not being a problem during a dry spell, but in a rainy summer, every day between showers counts.
....would be a shame bending that roller while welding. Unless the roller have to spin back-ward, that side of L-shape is not the stressed one. The good side has plenty of welds to hold hard. good-luck ;)
would propane mixing with air in the intake manifold work to let the diesel burn hotter and cleaner? then the pump can be set so it is cheaper on the diesel :)
+Fredrick Mechanical no it wouldn't, diesel has a higher flashpoint than propane that is the stupidest thing I have ever read..the propane would ignite before the diesel causing pre ignition and blowing the Pistons clean through the head...holy shit you can't be serious 😱😱
mig is not a place for doing repair, fabricating with new materials only, repairs are to be done with stick rod only. there is a place and tool and machine for each job, i see people using mig, and cheap box store mig on everything, why, any one can lay a bead with a mig, don't mean its going to hold though
The injection timing is advanced, not retarded, and the reasoning behind it is when the injector pops at around 15 degrees before TDC the fuel travels down and spreads to meet the bowl of the piston as the piston rises, and finally ignites right as the crank rolls past TDC. If it were to inject on or just after TDC, the fuel would be chasing the piston down, cylinder ignition pressure would be WAY down, and would cause the Injection pump to have to supply an insane amount of fuel to run.
