I had that happen to me. I an unaware of any way to open the service panel without professional draining hydraulics and using another heavy machine to raise the boom (dangerous). What I did was: I was able to run the cables from a JNC660 jump pack through the opening in the side of the panel and jump start it. It worked fine. Since then I always extend the boom lockpins and rest the boom on them when parked.

p22070 do you think that this would work even if the batteries are shot??

You just need to jump it or grab new batteries and use jumper cables to old batteries that are still in machine that’s what I did

Back at engine look underneath there is a round hole in the skid plate should be above that area. That's on a Perkins diesel.

That's the skid plate belly pan.

@@rhgg1499 Same thing with the Kubota V1902 diesel. Drain hole in the belly pan.
