Come along with us as we follow NH&I #40 through Bucks County, PA. However #40 isn't the only engine that makes an appearance. We realize this isn't the day that #40 returned to service, but it's our video of her back in action after her mechanical work over the summer of 2011. A big thanks should go to the shop forces who worked tirelessly to get #40 back out on the high iron! At least a few guys in this video are included in that shop force.
#40 was built in 1925 by Baldwin for the Lancaster & Chester Railroad in South Carolina. She is a 2-8-0 "Consolidation" type.
The #8202 is a GE C39-8 built for Conrail as their 6004.
