Watching Ramos recover so hard and fast after that board wipe was inspiring. The deck is scary when it hits the gas.

Marie seems to be pretty good at deckbuilding. Every game I seen any of her decks in action, she always seems to have the best plays, recovers pretty quick from bad situations, and has perfect responses, and she hasn't even played a deck with blue in it yet (as far as I know). I can't imagine how OP a blue deck made from her would be.

That's what I love about aristocrats deck: you want your stuff to die anyway so more often than not a board wipe is not a problem (if not beneficial)

As rage-inducing as that Soulscour was, I respect Maxime for not using it just as a board reset, but as a finisher in conjunction with Boros Charm.

Max is actually pretty respectful with his Soulscour. He'll typically only cast it if he has an avenue to win shortly after.

Absolutely love the Lulu / Cultist combination. The only decks I have been able to brew recently have been Background pairings. I love the mechanic so much. Might build Lulu / Cultist myself but I already have Durnan / Agent of the Shadow Thieves and Gut / Inspiring Leader so even more Background decks is a high ask lol. The flexibility they provide paired with the sort of restrictions still in place makes it a lot more intriguing to me than just normal partner.

loving backgrounds too, but i just couldn't decide on a pairing so i build a Falthis, shadowcar familiar/Kediss, emberclaw familiar and put almosto all of the rakdos backgrounds in that of course work twice because both the commanders gain the abilites. the deck is literal tomfoolery

Lmao I was literally thinking the same thing about turning my Daretti deck I’ve had since 2014 into an osigir deck while watching this. Only reason I haven’t yet was cuz it was my first commander deck.

Exactly the same here. I've been slowly upgrading Daretti over the years and the sentimental value is huge. Plus I love having mono colored decks, though Osgir just seems so much more performant

Chaos Dragon has each player rolling, not just opponents, so there's a chance its controller can win the die roll. I didn't see Felix rolling, so I wasn't sure. Great game!

Great game! I want to see more of Osgir, that looks like a great build-around commander and Maxime showed his potential but didn't get to shine. If I were Maxime I'd get some "copy" tokens and just leave the exiled card under them, but that's just lazy me. Haha.

My two favorite decks I have are Miirym and Osgir. They are not my strongest (Xenagos and Atraxa hold those spots), but most fun. Was so fun to see them both here against one another in much more high powered versions than my decks. 🥰

13:40 - I play both Daretti and Osgir. You can honestly make both of them and they would both be different enough to warrant keeping without too much overlap. In my case, Daretti is my "big artifact" build which is exactly what you expect, while Osgir focuses on way more cantrip-oriented artifacts and has a way less CMC total to boot. He excels in acceleration, and he has more compatibility with a stax package. Just some food for thought. (Edit: Spelling)

Lulu is in the 99 of my Dorothea deck. I always have permanents that are leaving the battlefield so I'm always getting her trigger. She's amazing.

This game is another great example of why Chandra's Ignition is a trap. Its too easy to get blown out as a result.
