I just bought this palette a year later. I bought it because it is berry and because it doesn’t scream Christmas names. I am Jewish and I really don’t want Christmas stuff all over my winter stuff. I just want to celebrate winter. So I will see this as a Flirty Nude palette. It’s not always about Christmas it’s about all holidays. It’s the holiday season. Now my Slippery shade is totally all beads and very cranberry/purple color and my Passion shade is very purple and very lil pink. I want amazing plum shades because I have black shadows. I don’t need that in my palette. I also don’t have tons of high end palettes so this one works for me. I hope everyone is still safe and well. What a messed up time. Happy Holiday season everyone
Maybe the brush is the key to that foundation because I have not been impressed. I put it on with a sponge and it was fairly light coverage and didn't really build much. Also wore patchy by end of the day. I'll give it one more try.
Ms. Emily, speaking of your mom...she really fascinates me. I love when she makes cameo appearances on your channel and stories. Would she be up for a segment of "My mom's beauty techniques," of sorts. I am not necessarily looking to find out secret hacks or tips, I am just plain interested in her "routines" if you will. Like what you mentioned in the video about using face creams on her hands. Just interested in her views and ideas. Not sure if I am making much sense here, but I know I would be interested in hearing more from her. Thanks. Sending lots of well wishes to you all. ;o)
That duochrome pop is like WOW! Side note - my ten year old daughter went through a random phase a couple winters ago of painfully red, dry, scaly backs of her hands. Her ped recommended the Neutrogena Norwegian formula hand cream and that was the only product that finally turned the tide!
Same thing happened to me when I was a kid! My mom took me to the dermatologist for my hands which he practically ignored and I left his office with samples and a prescription for acne medicine! Thanks doc! I didn't even know I had acne back then lol. Neutrogena Norwegian formula hand cream fixed my hands though.
Hi Emily and everyone. I have a huge request, please pray for me and my husband, we tested positive for Covid-19 and are having a hard time. Thank you Em for brightening my day🤗please be safe everyone and God bless 😇
Prayers to you both from Perth, Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺. God is merciful and look how you are able to communicate all the way across the world where complete strangers are able to see and be able to include you in their prayers. Praying and sending love to you and your husband Susan Spann Love Lorraine ❤️🙏❤️
Your eye shape was made to love eyeshadow IMO it’s the absolute best in shape and lid space all us small eyed hooded people are envious of your beautiful eyes, when you do these more dramatic looks I just stare at how beautiful the looks are I’m definitely a dramatic eye look kinda girl this look is epic and a little out of your normal wheelhouse with the lid color totally my kind of bold look so beautiful Em !!!
Melanie Gorniak so very true . I totally agree with you. I have tried to customise it to my eye shape and I have hooded eyes ( some days ) ! I just love how she does her eyes.
hi Emily just wanted you to know that I come to your channel for a relaxing fun time with makeup and you provide that to me every single time and I can't tell you how grateful I am for you, thanks Lisa
I have the Huda Naughty palette and LOVE it! The upper right quad is less berry toned. I've done gold/brown looks (Hard is a good brown dark shade that isn't berry toned) as well as the more berry looks. It's super wearable and the shimmers are gorgeous!
I totally gave in! We moved into our new apartment on the 16th of November (Monday) and all the decorations and trees were in place by the end of the week! Definitely puts some cheer in my mood!
Emily I literally binge watch your videos to keep me sane during these times! You have such a calming and positive attitude! Please film another quick “mom makeup” or makeup under 10 minutes video, it really is informative and enjoy them 😁
I always tell clients to use enough to night time facial moisturizer to apply it to the face, neck, decollete and back of hands. Apply eye cream and what's left apply it around your lips and smile lines.
I just wanted to pop on to say.... thank you Emily, I watch every one of your videos. I love all the information and your kind and friendly demeanor xxx
I have never used a foundation stick before. I think I would like to grab one to try out. I'm intrigued! Thanks for your thoughts on the palette. Always appreciate it! Love your final look!
I was considering getting this palette during the Sephora sale, but I thought it was too berry and red for the size. I’m glad for this review. It validates my decision.
Every time I see those marble pans I think of those bundt cakes in a box , vanilla with chocolate swirl, that my Mum made when I was a kid lol. I'm not a huge berry eye look fan on me, but you of course look stunning🥰
I would love to see a whole video on stick foundations. I’m in the market for one because they are so easy to apply and you’re the queen! I won’t buy anything without an Emily stamp of approval!
Your random thought for today is definitely very true for me. Early on in the pandemic, I found tremendous solace in spending some time outdoors, and that has continued throughout.
I love this palette by itself and as an additional pop of another palette. Sparkles from the rich Nude palette. To me it’s a fun palette which doesn’t scare me with the darkness of the deeper shades. My eyes pop big time. I think I’ll try the foundation stick.
I really liked this foundation and the brush. Now that I think of it, some of my favourite brushes are double ended! This brush was worth the money in my opinion for 2 face brushes basically! Good review ❤
Yupp berry is my ride or die! But I've never tried any of the Huda big pallettes so I was really thinking about it..but your absolutely right I have so many berries... And it doesn't have enough mattes for me!❤️ Another wonderful video my beautiful friend!😘
To follow the point about your mom using leftover face cream on her hands.. I once used up a face cream that I wasn’t a fan of on my face as a nighttime hand cream and it worked beautifully! Good way to use up a product and not waste money.
Did the same with some shampoo I was not fond of. Converted it to a hand wash. Added a tiny bit of water to thin it out. Works like a charm and no waste of a product.
*The BEST thing you can do for your hands is to put on your hand cream and then put on a thin layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline right over top of the hand cream. It will create a barrier to keep the moisture in your hands instead of evaporating. If you have especially dry, cracked skin add more to those areas a few times a day and they'll be all healed up in 2 to 3 days tops.*
Or before bedtime, put your favorite concoction on your hands and cover with a pair of throw-away cotton or rubber gloves. By morning your hands will look and feel wonderful.
@@SLOLiferealestate agreed, I definitely can't sleep with anything on my hands (gloves-wise) but I do slather them in moisturizer. I don't mind being sticky and slimy as long as my skin is soft.😘
I seriously enjoy her shimmery eyeshadows! That duochrome shade is so stunning! I would legit buy a 9 pan palette of just those duochromes if she put out one of those.
Iam loving my naughty palette, I watched hutas video and she talked about the slippery being able to use as a multipurpose eye lip face product. And I find it’s beautiful applied on top of a lip liner as a lipstick. That is how I use it and it is perfect with the tones in the palette 💖.
I like that you mentioned too stiff of a brush. I find that most domed kabuki brushes are, especially that Artis style. Flat kabuki is my go to bc the longer bristles at the perimeter just move better for me.
We don't usually put up our Christmas decorations and tree until the weekend right after Thanksgiving. It's also our anniversary this weekend and since we're not going anywhere special, we will probably start then!
Hi Emily! Perfect timing, I just sat down for a few minutes. I hope you and your family are all doing well. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I wanted to try this foundation stick.. I’ll have to pick it up
Aveeno baby balm is amazing, my hands have been very dry from cleaning and of course more hand washing. The baby balm saved my hands and it's great to my feet, the only product I have luck keeping my feet hydrated longer than a day. I got mine at Wal-Mart, you get a big tub for less than $10. You will feel it but after it soaks in you have baby soft skin.
Great video! I think it depends on the palette you get, the marbled shade you used in my palette has loads of blue in it, so when I use that I can get a really blue smokey eye! I love it 😁
Slippery is an opaque long-wear pink gloss for the eyes - like when people used vaseline over their shadow. The full name is the Naughty Nude palette; it carries on from her New Nude palette 😉 I've not quite made up my mind about the matte shade selection yet, so will need to play around with the palette a bit more to see how much variety is there for my skintone. However I've already decided that the formulas for all of the various finishes are great - the shimmer variety is especially fantastic - I love the brand's different shimmer formulas.
I have a basket of hotel samples which I use every day on my hands before going out the door. Back inside I wash hands and reapply. Using up my samples and keeping hands hydrated.
Thanks for the review. At first glance it looks like a versatile nude palette. But it's actually mostly similar berry looks. Dont think I can fork out that much on a palette which will give me one kind of look.
She really went there with the shade names, thank you for mentioning that Emily LOL! I can't help it, I'm laughing as you're applying juicy or naughty to the crease wow. To each his own though, thank you for the review Emily. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving!
Thank you Emily. I was looking at your Amazon favorites page and you have some great picks especially with the toy/toddler section. My grand daughter just turned 2 so my mind has been turned to youngsters again. Hope you & your family have a great Thanksgiving!🦃
Thank you for the more in-depth review of the foundation. I’ve seen other Influencers do first impressions and not so in-depth reviews, and it was hard to really get a good read on what the real deal was with it. I appreciate you wearing it a few times before reviewing it and giving us your impressions. I have similar skin to you and think I will try it. One question: what did you think as far as settling into any fine lines? Thanks you.
Hey Emily ever try the Wet N Wild foundation stick? It turned me on to foundations sticks so I am going to check out the Huda stick as a higher end option but I'd love your opinion on the Wet N Wild one or other drugstore stick foundations. I like the way they apply. Cheers! Thanks for another cool video.
I want to try that foundation stick. Have you tried the new LA Girl Lip attraction lipsticks? I think you’d love them and their magnetic closure. Great new affordable product.
