If you run out of foundation, take a pair of tweezers and flip the sponge over. There's plenty of product underneath the sponge. And you can keep doing this till you run out of product before you replace it. hope this helps ^^

I was hoping you would review the cushion foundation and to see you're reviewing their holiday sets is a PLUS! I think I'm more excited about Em Cosmetics holiday sets than everything else I've seen at Sephora for holiday.
I tried a few of their products out of genuine curiosity and I was blown away by their quality and uniqueness. Her lip products are all amazing across the board, best lip glosses hands down! The gel formula hugs the lips and doesn't feel sticky or goopy at all because it's gel! Their liquid lips are super comfortable, just not totally matte or bulletproof which is okay. Heaven's Glow blush is amazing, I have so many blushes Im not even using because I cant stop using it. I'm in love with EM Cosmetic's color story, magic hour color (lip cushion, lip gloss, liquid lip, eyeshadow palette) is the best color I've ever worn on my asian face -- it suits me SO nicely! I've been buying makeup for 15 years now and a room full of makeup but none of them suit me quite like this, I was extremely impressed! I love her carefully curated and well-thought out products who's not in it to make money on a hype train. Michelle Phan has been through success and failure, she knows what works and what people are looking for. Highly anticipating her new products!
For the included cushion applicator, I would recommend patting pretty rapidly and repeatedly across the face! You don't have to apply too much pressure, but the more times you pat it in, the more coverage you should get. The applicator holds quite a bit of product actually, so you want to make sure you're getting as much as you can on your skin if that makes sense!

I’ve been buying em since before they had an overhaul and have loved everything from the first launch to now. Some of the best stuff available if you ask me and everything is so thought out unlike all the other brands just pumping out product left and right these days.

The cushion foundations are THE BEST!!! The most convenient way to apply a foundation is to have it in a form of cushion. Too bad that there are not so many companies that make them. Any cushion foundation I’m buying, the result is a flawless radiant skin and no “stainy” fingers. I always use those velvet microfiber sponges, because they do not suck in much product and blend it into the skin perfectly. They are made for each other 😊 Thanks for the tip, Emily! I absolutely love EM Cosmetics. Their Serum Blushes are so beautiful and the Heaven's Glow Faded Clementine is on my wish list. I have used their eyeliner and liked it but not a must have for me. All of their products are great, a lot are amazing. I too also like the fact that they roll out an item or two at a time and not every week like some other brands. I think that may be why their products are such high quality. A little at a time makes it easier to focus on the quality. I am looking forward to the Daydream Cushion. I used to love cushion foundations, I would use a Real Techniques sponge, the flat side, it gave such a beautiful, diffused look. A little went a long way. This cushion tinted serum looked great on you. It perfected the skin but allowed the true beauty to show through. Sometimes a full coverage foundation may be needed but most of the time I like a light to medium coverage. The Daydream Cushion Tinted Serum is something I will definitely be trying soon, along with the Heaven's Glow in Faded Clementine. I think the gift sets are nice and can think of a few people I know who would enjoy being introduced to this brand.

I bought their lip cloud, gloss, serum blush and eye liner previously and it is GOOD! only gripe i have is with the expensive shipping overseas (i live in asia) and that I have the same issues as you did for the eye liner, it did not stay very well on me. That said, I'll try out ur tip of shaking it up, hopefully it improves things. But the lip cloud in magic hour is SO beautiful and flattering on everybody. I think it's one of their best selling colours, which is why they included that in the kit. I also got their colour gloss and clear gloss but I seem to be allergic to something in the colour gloss and I passed it on to my friend who loves it. The clear gloss is so good too and i love the smell cos it smells literally like butterscotch caramel. The serum blush is a STAPLE for me whenever I do makeup now. looks fabulous, easy to apply, sometimes I even put it on bare skin and it just does something to improve the look of my complexion. I'm off to browse their holiday kits now lol hopefully shipping is more affordable now!
As I get older and my skin has more texture issues, I find that the thinner complexion products are on my skin, the better I look - not just five minutes after I put on my makeup, but hours later especially. So I think I'll have to try the cushion product. And maybe a liquid blush too. Thanks, Emily!
The liquid blush is a gamechanger. Blends beautifully! Stays on thru the day, 0 irritation. And the color, clutching my pearls, unlike any other palate. Blends some how into skin to look like a natural blush. Young and dewy without being tacky
I seen it applied with the with applicator and it looks great also so you don’t need a different brush unless you want too. Julia Adams did a great review on this Em cushion foundation if you would like to see someone use the pad.
I use the same brush with the Catrice HD liquid foundation with similar results...very smoothing and works well with the thinner formula. This cushion foundation looks very pretty and needs to be on my “to buy” list. Have a great day!

I LOVE when you (or any RU-vidr) go into detail while doing an eye look because often times a look seems easy then as you're doing it, we start to notice the different shades and techniques. It makes it so much easier to try to recreate the look 👏🏼 Please don't ever feel like you're over explaining.
I think that looked absolutely stunning on the skin just enough coverage to even out your skin tone, if I had less to hide I’d definitely get this but unfortunately I need a solid medium coverage product and our opinion of medium is different but wow that looks beautiful on your skin sadly I just have more that I feel I need to hide in order to feel more confident in myself. I think this entire line has very beautiful products tbh I think she did an amazing job with her formulas .

Kohl's has a mini Real Technique holiday brush set I instantly thought of you. It comes with mini bronzer, powder, and foundation brushes and a sponge on sale for $8 right now. I picked it up and it is the cutest little set. I really want to try Em Cosmetics morning dew gloss but $20 is a little steep for a clear gloss. Tfs.
I love their lip cushions, lip gloss, and I just got their blush serum and I love it. I tried their black eyeliner but it easily smudged and returned it because I had higher expectation with their liner too.

I gave my EM Cosmetics Venetian Rose lip cushion to my daughter who has more neutral coloring than I do. I wish it looked on me like it does on you, Emily... but on me it looks muddy and unflattering. I don't do well with brown-based colors or orangey ones, as a rule. I'm very cool-toned.

Also for that neck pain, do some stretches, like rotating your head left and right, up and down. Be very methodical and try to stretch as far as possible, but be careful. I used to do this a lot with martial arts and meditation. It can be very relaxing.
Eek! I find $48 for a cushion foundation is excessive but you did say it comes with a refill so that makes it $24/each which isn’t bad. I do want to try the Em cosmetics blush that looks like nail polish lol. The “amethyst” color I think it’s called would be my choice. I’ll bet since Michele Pham is developing her line more, I’ll bet she will come out with a bronzer, under eye concealer (unless you mentioned it) and other products for a full face eventually. I like that the liquid blush doesn’t mess with hour foundation or powder. Great video, as always!
I am just discovering Em Cosmetics, and so far I love it!! Such amazing quality. The Magic Hour palette is everything I wanted Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk to be. It is Pillow Talk, but so much better! It's not as glittery and the eyes just look so much more sleek.
So I read your random thought... something I do when I have a neck ache or pain in my neck I’ll put vapor rub on the sore areas... it helps me quite a bit.
I love the eye look you created. I love that eyeshadow palette along with the hippie stick and powder blush! Jessica Bruan has said good things about that eyeshadow palette aswell. I definitely need to give this brand a try!

Hi Emily, with the Maybelline powder,, get some sticky tape and put if over 3/4 of the sifter holes. Its easier to control the amount coming out 1/4 of the holes. Thats what I do.
