I bought one in June, it's sold as twist pack here in Belgium. For motorization, it's a 1l 100hp engine (3cyls) and runs on petrol. I have already 7k kms with it and haven't regretted it for a moment. it is spacious, in the front AND in the back, the car is very well thought , its full of details you only spot once you really need them. Consumption, i'm consuming around 5.2/5.5l for 100kms (thats like 45 MPG). Its very silent, very soft, except when going from 1st to 2nd gear, the gearbox has a tendency to stutter a bit, you have to be really gentle on the clutch. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)
@@Flypowerish yep it is. I now have 25k kms with it, my fuel consumption is more like 5.5/5.7l per 100kms now. Engine still runs like a charm, haven't had any issues since. it got checked up at 15K kms and didn't cost much either!
@@Flypowerish there's the mandatory check up at 1000kms, this one is free and takes like 1h .Then I had the first one at 15.000kms and paid 250€ if I remember correctly. I live in the citycenter but drive mainly on highways, It goes from Lille to Disneyland paris up and back on a full reservoir, cruisecontrol at 133,113 or 93 (depending on road limitatoins)
Hunan eye is not able to see that, camera has ability to catch more FPS that you, for the sake of that u can see it flashing. The same happens in much more expensive cars equiped digital speedo
That 1.2 Kappa engine isn't very fast or powerful but it is very responsive, even the slightest touch of gas will make that engine rev up. I have it in a 2016 Hyundai Grand i10. Perfect engine for a city car and kinda fun to drive too
@@JoeBlack9 I wiil get this car and engine MY25 in a few days. I chose 1.2 MPi instead of 1.0-tgdi since the car will be used for city driving or short trips. For long trips, in the family we have another family SUV. I hope, I made the right choise.
@@Raffaello49996 Często jeżdżą na np. naukach jazdy, albo we flotach robiąc spore przebiegi i wtedy to ma duży sens. Ale fakt że kolejną zaletą tego silniczka jest to niskie spalanie. Sam robiłem takim trasę i spalił mi 4,2l jadąc krajówkami
@@PoisonJuke1 if you drive until 130km/h I’d say it’s totally fine. After 160km/h it starts to get noisy but at that point the RPMs are on the higher side. I usually listen to music and the noise is not bothering me at all. You should take a test vehicle for a spin on the motorway.
@@Nam3Iess oh it's perfect, I wouldn't even go faster than 130, thank you for the reply! And i was curios, i saw complains about being relatively slow, like even in town it picks up the pace slowly, is it really that true or is that an overstatement?
@@PoisonJuke1 of course it is an NA engine so definitely not a racer. These comments are coming from people who had a turbo diesel before. The worst case scenario is during summer when the AC is on and you have 3 passengers in the car, then passing a truck on countryside roads can be difficult, because the AC cuts a couple of horses. You should really test drive one though otherwise you’ll blame me for not liking it 😁
@@Nam3Iessyes i understand, they compare it to that and ofc it's slower if you put it that way And thanks for the worst case scenario 😂 Haha yes 😅, i should definitely try it myself not just make an opinion based only on what i read Thank you very much for the help!
It goes on the motorway very well too until like 140km/h. Above that the engine gets too noisy. For the 130 limit we have on the motorway here it is more than enough.
I am afraid of it not being an economic car now.. everyone is complaining about it being 5-5l/per 100km . I mean i have a 2001 Toyota vitz with a 1,5 engine.
I put my shit on the brightest mode!!!Then i realized its the weather there..true story!!its no biggie ima South European its just we are used to the sun thats it... 🤷♂️Great video 💯
They made a discount version of the i20 for latin america called HB20 (and HB20X for the B segment one), they are actually pretty good, surprised by the latin hyundai assembly line. Havent seen so many of the same car here since the VW UP came out
man , the power draw of the ac is not a thing anymore.... you will probably gain a 0.3s at a 0-100km/h test. The engine has enough left over power to drive the AC without impacting performance.
@@bullet4ghe is sort of right, if You turn off the AC the car feels more quick. I keep it on though and only turn it off for a sec until I pass a truck on the countryside. If you drive calm, then You do not need to worry about it.
@@JoeBlack9 Thanks a lot Joe , I plan to drive a long and for me very important the comfort of driving and safety , doesn't matter cost of service , the car from my firm . I have had a accident car before and my bag is a little not so good and I after 50 too.
Wireless charging is available only for the Premium model. There are 3 classes - Classic, Exclusive and Premium. The Premium also comes with "Bose" sound system. I bought mine from the Exclusive line. Initially, I was sad I didn't have the wireless charging, but my phone lasts 3 days with one charge and charges for 45 minutes at home with the supercharger, so I really don't need that extra.
Hello. I have Bayon 1.2 84 hp, same engine like i20, you have 3,100-200 rpm at 120, and in my Bayon i have around 3,900 rpm at 120.. have you explication for this? Super video, good job!
Yes, I spotted that Bayon and i20 has totally different gear ratio throughout the gears (although it's both 5-speed manual for 1.2 MPI 84 hp) and uses about 3.800 - 3.900 rpm at 120 km/h as well. I guess they use different gear ratio for those two cars because Bayon is significantly heavier and therefore the torque and power at low RPM is not just enough for Bayon, although they both use almost identical chassis platform.
I have it since almost a year (february 2023) and I am still in love with it. It does not eat much, drives crazy good - love to drive some bendy countryside roads with it, no issues with short trips (the oil is warm after 2kms) and no issues on the motorway either. My only regret is not going for the LED headlights, but I got stronger halogen bulbs so now it is OK in the night too.
