My grandfather road an Indian Scout in the US Calvary from the late 1930's through to the end of the war (WW2). He still had to learn how to ride a horse and care for it as well. He was courier and forward scout. He said the bike was reliable and fast and could take a beating. I have photos of him bandaged head to toe with road rash from wiping out while evading fire on a dirt road in France. He picked the bike up and kept going. He continued to preferred Indians for the rest of his life. The Greatest Generation.
Indian has come back into their own - 101 has me by the short and curlies. Regardless, you look great sitting on, or standing with anyone of them. Good vid - thank you
Although the Scout 101 is getting all the attention, I'm going to go against the flow and say a black Scout Classic would suit you best. You looked the most comfortable on that version with less of a stretch to the bars. And it's the only model which doesn't look like the fenders were hacked off as an afterthought. You could opt for a Classic with the Limited+Tech package if you like all that stuff.
I've got a 23 Bobber Twenty, and that super scout is looking real good. Just don't know if it's worth an upgrade when I can just add bags and windscreen for almost the same effect. I do want that ride command though. Maybe in two or three years.
Mostly a "beautiful" Bike, the engine sounds Japanese but looks to be fun, and I would love to ride it sometime. Indian is certinally making a lovely "stepped up" Scout. I will always miss the original lines and design, "but so it goes!" I’ve been riding Harleys since 2000, but watching and listening to every thing. I have been following the new Indian's for some years it was good to see and understand more of the Bike.. I have no desire to be negative as we naturally all have preference’s, however I would love to give it a good long ride. Great competition improves the breeds, and the SCOUT is, (overall) great, thank you all.
I am so happy to hear that Indian motorcycle innovated and new technology came in 2025 scouts. Really big salutes to coy boss. I wanted to own next year when it came into market.
Great channel , love the detailed photo shoots of the bikes you feature and strangely while im not a fan of listening to people talk all day , i love how you speak with such clarity and excitement in your pretty voice about your bikes .I lived in Germany for along time ( military ) and i wish i had toured Europe on a Harley ,
Very well done on new models of the Indian scout lineup. The looks I've recently seen peaked my interest ,but my local dealership website doesn't have these new models, just the old models with those ugly gigantic exhaust cans without the 2 into 1 exhaust. The 2 into 1 exhaust to me, give better sound, flow for the breathing of engine, and a much better look. The larger displacement engine, seems like a catch up attempt with Harley Davidson newer sportster. Better late than never I guess. Now to see if Harley gets rid of the clunky exhaust cans, and gets with the program of better styling with a 2 into 1 exhaust as well!
Hi, nice video shots of the Indians👌these bikes look very beautiful the way you filmed them , not really a fan of forward controls, definitely for you a black on black bobber 👍
I absolutely love what Indian has done with the Scout lineup. They surpassed other mfr's by giving cruise; fuel-gauge, customizable "trim" levels, etc to a smaller bike. Then they said f"#k it with the the ping pong sized fuel tank. Yeah, customers of small stature, we finally give you a smaller sized bike that can tour on, but you better know how effing far it is to the next gas station.
The fuel tank should be good for close to 200 miles which honestly, exceeds my endurance on a bike. Even on my Africa Twin, with a 300 mile range, I tend to make frequent fuel stops just to ensure I can take a break.
@localfishinghole That's fine for you. My point is why do mfr's keep touting the capabilities of their bikes only to limit the fuel range on purpose. It's not logical. It's always better to have more than you need than more than you can ride. You don't see Ford putting 8 gallon tanks on F150's.
I seen one last year that looked a bit like a triumph Bobber but a hell of a lot more beautiful and better than that one sorry to say by far it was stunning compaired to that
That 101 is sharp. If this had been out last year I would have had a hard time picking between it and the Breakout I went with. I don't think Indian does a good job of marketing their bikes, they don't put them out there like HD does.
I think Indian Motorcycle kicked it all the way out of the ballpark with the new Scouts. Sports Scout and 101 are fantastic. Well they are all awesome I like the Classic and Bobber too so... I am now building the narrative as to why I am now trading in my 2020 Spring field Dark Horse. When it comes to you and your penchant for Black, I think the Sport Scout in black is perhaps the coolest... But the 101 has everything and has top specs. Not as easy to choose as you might have thought. 101 spoke to you immediately. The others you have to decide for. You will probably pick a 101. As do I.
You are just TOO cute! I like them all but, being an old man, I'd probably go for the Super Scout even though I think the 101 and Sport Scout look best.
Tough sell in the uk as everyone never looks at Indian , I was in the dealership yesterday, I eas the only 1 in there , all were either in triumph or ktm
Hi Deimante, you are looking amazing! (had to be said...! 😀). Question, it looks like the front wheel on the Scout 101 is a much lower aspect ratio and smaller diameter, versus on the other Scout models its a bit larger and much greater aspect ratio. What does this say about the intended use of the different models? Perhaps the later on-road review will address this... Thanks!
I Love the modular design, not sure why the cast aluminum frame got replaced with steel tube?? “Maybe just being nostalgic and bringing some of that 1920’s tech lol”. You were also the first person I’ve seen actually sit on the new scouts, you definitely got some good contacts. Love it!
The steel tube frame and sub frame was an innovative move to make the bike more custom friendly. Custom shops are going to have a great time seeing what they can create and Harley will have some serious competition.
the Scout 101 is an aesthetically lovely bike and on looks alone I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But price wise, it would need to be in the £14k price range for me to even consider it,. I definitely prefer the white one.
Modifying the 101, I would put 1" longer shocks on the back and drop the forks so they were flush with the top triple clamp, lifting the front slightly, and giving the bike a taller stance.
Choose the Bopper..., especially in that Red. It looked great in that colour, and you looked great on It. The Scout and the FTR are the only Indians worth looking at, so don't waste time looking any further at the Indian brand, there are many other brands that need your attention. Have you had a ride on the BSA yet, I don't remember seeing you on one yet?
The 101 looks the bomb 💥 love to rip through the mountain twisties on that for sure. The previous generation I unfortunately found a little uncomfortable unfortunately reason I went chief dark horse and I’m now on a chieftain limited. But 101 looks the business.
I don't want to say that they made a mistake with the new design of the scout bobber, because the previous bobber models impacted me. Now I don't feel that furious need to buy it. I'll have to see more options
101 1st prize. Bobber gets 2nd. The other two not for me. As a blank canvas though, just get the cheapest one and start modding that. I know in the coming years Indian will drop some fancy limited R and carbon versions with Gucci suspension and brakes, like they did with the FTR... that'll be the drean model. It's got such a fucking peach of an engine as a basis. Indian impress me more and more recently. Cheers for showing them off well Deima' 👌
Only your heart can pick your bike. Me the super scout or bobber. Unfortunately with the Aussie $ and loss on early purchase of sportster s I can't see it happening. Had the early models had cruise control I would already have one. Aussie pricing in July.
The problem for me is that one model has what the other doesn’t so the real deal will be have a custom bike just join the parts and match colors for the customer not having 5 models that not fully convince the customer
I just love hearing you say bobber, so if I was dating you I would tell you to buy the 101, and surprise you with a new bobber in the garage and I would paint two parking spaces on the floor of the garage one would say “reserved for bob” the other “lesson 101” “love 101”
Well there's a thing. Which one suits you best. The bobber and the sport both look amazing. If I had the money and the chance perhaps I'd choose the sport but then the 101 looks like an amazing machine as well. However I think the sport model would suit you and your personality. Enjoy, well done 🤓 💖
The large slim front wheel is a big mistake on this new bike. Stay on the 16" fat one , makes it way more nimble. If roads are not perfect (very often they are not a mirror race track) a fat tire will handle potholes softly instead of jumping all over the place like a slim rigid tire.
