@@NSwhoa yeah ITS STILL JACKSONVILLE I wouldn’t trade it for any other NFL City in the league. Besides the Lombardi will be on display here soon. Real soon
The structure on the south side is the existing “Daily Center” concert amphitheater venue attached with walk ways into the stadium. The lower bowl is different in the drawings to what exists. We are hearing more talk of playing at (closer) University of Fla. Capacity can hold 90,000. Camping world in “GAG”! Orlando is only 60,000.
I love it! Can't wait to see the process. Hopefully the Jags play in Orlando so I can catch a game. Now the Buccaneers have to show up Miami and Jacksonville when their lease on Raymond James Stadium is up in 2028!
Duval finna be a major player in the sports world. Major revenue coming in with college playoffs, college basketball playoffs, Super Bowls. So Fi 2.0 has arrrived. Duuuuvaaaaalllll
It looks beautiful and Jacksonville deserves it as they should be a regular rotation city for the Super Bowl and other major events. They'll definitely host a WrestleMania down there too at some point. This will keep the Jags down in Jacksonville for decades to come. I think this is the future for NFL stadiums and MLB domes as well transculent light roofs. Final Four needs to figure it out because I think a lot of stadiums will feature roofs like this instead of darker ones from the past. Miami needs one like this as well as Hard Rock lets in way too much heat in my opinion even with the canopy feature over the stadium. I wonder if Tampa gets something like this too for the Bucs, I would like to have that one stay outdoor, but it's hard with the Florida heat.
Not enough hotel rooms in Jacksonville to host something big like the Superbowl. The one Superbowl Jacksonville did host, they had to bring in cruise ships to add to it hotel numbers.
Wrestle mania in tiaa bank field wont happen as long as the Khans own the jags. the last thing wwe wants to do is pay their competition the Khans money to host wrestle mania for 2 nights
Just like in the 90s when rhey renovated the Jacksonville stadium for the jags, the Florida-Georgia game will be home-an-home i would assume. Way better for recruiting
Having sat in the nose bleed sears before, those curtains actually wouldn’t get in your view of the field. You might lose track of a sky high punt. It might not look like it from the pics or at a lower level, but at the angle of the stands, you’re kind of looking almost straight down to the field
Hopefully this gets done. Stadium looks great and the fact that’s in the heart of Jacksonville with a up and coming great young team. Jags are so up rn bro I’m jealous as a 49ers fan .
I like how they are developing the area around it instead of just rebuilding the stadium and just leaving the area a sea of parking lots or whatever it was before
The renders look good. Hope it's not the case where the renders look better than the finished product. If this is the final design the one thing I wonder about is the silver facade act like a lens in the Florida sun? That could make some areas around the stadium very uncomfortable. Maybe even a fire hazard. Don't say it can't happen. There have been several buildings in other cities with reflective material on the outside that end up causing problems nearby. I guess we will wait and see. One other thing. How is this renovation being funded? Is it private, public, or a combination of both?
Interesting. One of the most attractive features of the current stadium is that lower end zone n the south end that allows for nice views of the river and south part of the city as well as the bridges. I certainly hope they keep the waterfront access, as that is the best way to get to games by hopping on a water taxi somewhere on the south bank and then avoiding all the car traffic after the game.
This is a very impressive renovation to the stadium and it is very cool, but what seems funny to me is that just a few years ago, the Jaguars were rumored to be possibly relocating to another city because they had some attendance issues. I know that the Jags are doing better now, but it is interesting all the same.
The structure next to the stadium is an amphitheater. It’s there currently. The FLA/GA games will be played at the schools while the stadium is being renovated. The jags are weighing playing at UF in Gainesville or The Daytona speed way. Camping world is an option, but Daytona and Gainesville are much closer
Agree with you on that definitely the Steelers need to do major renovations with Acrisure stadium at Heinz as its not 22 years old. In about 20-40 years from now the steelers will get a new stadium with a see through roof with 72,000 seats with this stadium costing 25 billion dollars
I've never liked those tunnels that come right out to the goalposts, so I'm glad they are moving the south tunnel over to the western corner of the playing field.
What shades are you talking about.mif you're talking about the sides of the screens those are apart of the score board..If I'm wrong tell me where he screens are..I'd like to know..but if you mean the one with the Jags name it's for when they expand the seats from 66,000 to 72,000 for FLA/GA r when we expand for other events but the college games here go well over 77,000-85,000 so it's just showing they can expand capacity it's not to be a knock on the NFL games but to show we can host very large events..
The stadium being right next to the river, it will always have a natural breeze going thru to add to the cooling effect. High humidity won’t be much of an issue at all in this style of stadium. But his point about not being able to host a NCAA final four game is a very good one
Yea. I don’t see why they can’t build it in stages and still play in the city. Moving us for even 1 season will do damage to the fan base/economy here 🤷🏽♂️
@@jarvisfrederick4315 do you live here? Do you work near the stadium? Service industry would take a huge hit if they didn’t play the games here. Some people make 50-75% of their yearly income during those 15+ weekends of games/concerts/events
Lol, the gator stadium holds 90,000, and it's nfl ready. And closer to jacksonville. Plus Florida and Georgia said in 2 years they would play 1 game in Georgia and 1 in Florida
Yeah but then you have to work the schedules around each other because the Gators and Jaguars could not play there the same weekend. Camping World makes way more sense logistically.
That roof looks more like allegiant. Sofi is built of the same material but it's different. The interior is more allegiant. I wouldn't expect the video board "ribbon" along the roof. Allegiant had that same concept but it changed when. The price for that board was revealed. Considering they're gonna ask for tax money for this these renderings are going to simplify when it actually happens
YESSSIRRRRRRRRRR CANT FUCKING WAIT TO GO TO HOME GAMES IN THIS LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO JAGS DUVALLLLLLLLL LETS GET IT IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS DUVALLLLLLLLL LETS GET IT IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS DUVALLLLLLLLL AND ALSO THAT BUILDING NEXT TO THE STATIUM IS ALREADY THERE THATS WHERE THE JAGS HAVE CONCERTS AND THE DRAFT PARTY AT ITS CALLED THE DAILYS PLACE
Do your homework. The 2 scoreboards were upgraded to the biggest and best in the world a few years back. Not just saying that, it's fact. Also, the area that's maybe going to be built as a fan area next to the stadium? Is actually 6-7 years old. Lolololo....it's Daily s Place. A state of the art amphitheater hosting some of the worlds greatest bands along with other events. Also, housed in the area is a state of the art indo football field because of the afternoon rain showers that usually creep up in the afternoons during football season
This guy didn’t do any research at all!! Jags won’t go to Orlando to play in camping world stadium. They will be using Daytona international speedway also Florida Georgia would be playing on their campus for 2 seasons.
it looks like the bean thing in chicago. The ""thing" next to it is already there it "Daily's Pace" its a concert/multipurpose venue and looks exactly as it already does. It also has a covered practice field. Besides what happened to the London Jaguars. i like how they acknowledge that the jaguars still wont fill the seats with this new stadium.
You would have to work the Jaguars schedule around the Gators schedule because they could not play there the same weekend. Camping World makes way more sense logistically.
Mr. King. Work around the Gators, the Gators play on Saturday's? Also the SAINTS played at TIGER STADIUM, home of L.S.U TIGERS in 05 and that worked? You forgot too mention that CAMPING WORLD STADIUM in ORLANDO is also getting a renovation on the their stadium. I think the SWAMP would work, and it's close to Jacksonville.
@@mikescott2035 yes then the facilities have to be flipped overnight which is a logistical nightmare and the field conditions would make it unsafe for players of both teams have two games a week on the field. At this point the remainder of the Camping World renovations have not been approved or scheduled so that’s not an issue here.
