I am a big Grand Cherokee fan. I have a '21 GC Trailhawk. Bought it in the US new in Feb. '21 for $42.6k (discounted from a $49k MSRP). It is shocking how much one would have to pay for this new Summit in the UK. I understand that there are differences (the Trailhawk is a lower trim, the '21 is the older WKII platform, the new WL platform is nicer with more features). However, 85K pounds is breathtaking.....
I have to agree with most of what you said, but what about reliability, Range Rover's aren't exactly known for there's and I've seen a few new one's lately where panel gaps weren't even and swage lines didn't align either.
Not the first vehicle to have a McIntosh stereo fitted. Early 2000s, premium spec Subaru Outbacks had McIntosh systems fitted. Overall, the new Grand Cherokee doesn't impress.
It impressed those that bought it for sure. But I'm sure you've driven both of these and put them through their paces? For practicality, the Jeep has it all.
£85,000 for a Jeep if I could have a BMW X5, Audi Q7, Volvo Xc90, Range Rover Sport, etc. I do not know what the Americans were smoking?! But this is ridiculous. A KIA for half that price is better!
I’ve driven all of those cars above. Picked up a 2015 Jeep Cherokee for a 5th of the price of my Range Rover and it was just as comfortable, just as capable. Silent cabin, feels like driving a cloud etc. everything felt substantial and well made. The steering wheel! The softest leather I’ve ever felt! I’m a convert. Would recommend a Jeep to anyone
Now don't get me wrong, Land Rover products (from experience) are temperamental and expensive to keep running. Buuuut I don't think JEEP exactly has the best track record when it comes to reliability
FCA must be smoking something with this car. The price is ridiculous, but the lack of diesel powertrain means hardly anyone will be interested in Europe.
Soon as I saw this my eyes was drawn straight to the Gaps like in the hood ,the doors the boot etc is just to big it don’t look well built quality control and design .
tbh i only liked the 2000’s grand cherokee, this is a disappointment. also no one in the right mind would buy a jeep over a range rover or an audi, especially when the jeep is more expensive!!! great video💪.
You should leave Europe to buy a cheap true Jeep which the total opposite of whatever featured in this review. The V8 hemi engine on Jeep has the power to take you to the moon.
Took a brand new 2023 Grand Cherokee off road last month. Within 3hrs off-roading the infotainment screen stopped working and none of the electric windows would work. That was when I remembered I was technically driving a Fiat. I had to turn it off and on a few times, before it reset itself. Fiat, I mean Chrysler should look into it.
