New John Deere Riding Lawn Equipment for 2016 

Ztrak for 8 years and it has been great all along.

Bought a LA130 in 2007 within a month the seat split in four different places, since that was the first thing he talked about.

i bought my john deere LA 130 from Lowes in 2007. the tractor has not seen a garage or tractor cover in all these years. My seat is the same as the day I bought it. The one thing I do is flip the seat up in a forward position resting against the steering wheel.

I have a 42 inch z335 with the mulch on demand kit option installed by the dealer. It has a great cut, better then my Exmark 60 inch when the grass isn't tall. But the addition of the Deere mulch kit reduces the size of the side discharge opening. If they went to a deck that could accept an aftermarket kit like Bad Boy's ocdc that I swear by, that just covers the opening, then it would be more practical for commercial mowing, when 100% side discharging is necessary for speed. I know Deere's commercial mowers have this mulch on demand option. But again, if you go with a complete mulch kit, and reduce the size of your opening, your asking for trouble in wet, tall grass. My 30 inch Timemaster does a great job mulching dry normal length grass. But even with the side discharge open, the small opening isn't wide enough for tall, thick, wet grass, and clogs up something awful. The z335 leaves a smaller wind row then my Exmark because it has the baffles installed, but it still needs to be ran back over with the discharge open. So this makes the Deere mulch on demand a residential option, when you can decide to mow at the perfect time. Maybe in Texas where the grass doesn't grow as fast and is dryer it would be an good option commercially? The only reason to get a lawn tractor over a zero turn is they're safer on hills. Zero turns sometimes have a mind of their own near hills and ditches, which isn't fun. And easily get stuck in ditches.

My uncle has a large alfalfa hay ranch in eastern Oregon and I saw he had about 6 riding lawn mowers and I ask him out of all you have had which one do you like the best and he said that he likes John Deere mower the best.

Wow. That's a lot of stuff on those select series. If I wasnt commercial and didnt need a zero turn, would definitely look into. However, in todays world for commercial use zero turns are a must. It would be cool if you put the instrument panel on your commercial ZTRs

It's not really mulch on the fly because you are expected to remove an extra plate to shift between mulching and bagging.

Why didn't you guy's give the 2015 X590 these changes? Doesn't make much sense that you release a brand new model only to give it all these upgrades the following year.

Can the 42" accel deep side discharge deck be offered on the X570 series? The JD website does not show this as an option but they do list an optional 42" mulching deck for the X500 series. I really would like to have an X570 with the heavier duty K72 transaxle but I also really need a twin blade 42" side discharge deck rather than the triple blade 48" deck. Thank you, RP.

Ya know? I bought Scott’s JD riding mower about 18 years and that guy is still running strong today and most people consider it to be a knock-off or lesser quality that a JD Green mower. Well a couple weeks ago I decided to treat myself to a new mower so I bought a Poulan Pro series. OMG that was a nightmare so I took that POS back to Home Depot and got what I really wanted (a John Deere E140). I am do very pleased with the JD but I’ve only had it for a few days so I am hesitant to praise John Deere too much ... The thing that really upsets me about John Deere is that they have this huge collaboration with Lowe’s & Home Depot that ran our local John Deere Authorized dealer out of business. Ok I get-it! They sell more by doing this shit BUT as a consumer I no longer have access to a truly knowledgeable JD person in my home town and it’s very painful to even try to a dumbass punk at Lowe’s/Home Depot! Oh well that’s “progress” I guess? Now! I see that there are a ton of negative comments and JD haters on this vid. That’s fine but I honestly think that 95% of this shut is coming from the

JOHN DEERE D105 cratered with less that 23 hours service. Transmission is shot. Mower will not go forward or back. Warranty expired.

John Deere justifies a high price with more "useful features" but never quality. The underside of the deck in the video barely has paint on it and looks about as sturdy as a low end unit. The zero turn's frame looks ridiculously under-built. No wonder 90% of the landscaping companies I see have orange tractors.

John Deere stole their steering from j.i. case company crab steering tractors from four- wheel drive's back in the mid- 60's!

I'll stick with my gravely. Way better quality. I love John Deere, but they don't make good lawn tractors.

I bought Toro my Ride lawn mower, for better ride, easier on the body through shock absorption.
