My mother was Mr. Wilson’s secretary and booking secretary back in the 50’s in Baton Rouge. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Wilson when he came to Springhill, LA, for a speaking engagement. Mom wanted to show her two children off to him as my parents had moved back to South Arkansas for a business opportunity. Mr. Wilson scared me half to death speaking like he did, I was 6 or 7, and I have never forgotten meeting him!

I pulled this video up out the blue and my son name is Julian Le' Jeune and he's a senior playing football for his last year before graduation in Northern California. I just laugh so hard, i was in tears listening to Mr. Wilson and the respect we had for him as kids in my family from W.B.R. when i was younger. We needed role models like himself in our lives .

My husband and I used to watch him years ago. Loved him then, appreciate him even more now! None of these “new chefs” can hold a candle to him. Love him, he’s unique and a real treasure.

It’s interesting to watch cooking shows from the 70’s like Justin Wilson and Graeme Kerr and see how bad most cookware was back then.

Any way you could upload programs from Justin's other series? Such as Louisiana Cookin', the Outdoor series, and Easy Cookin'?

I have a lot of fun memories of watching Justin's cooking shows with my mom. We would love to hear him tell his stories. His past tense Cajun accent was so delightful. We would write down the recipes and have so much fun in the kitchen preparing his dishes. I wish I could thank Justin for playing a major role in the memories I have of my mom.💞

I grew up in Iberville Parish Louisiana, my father always watched his shows on Saturday when he was not working, I remember as child / kid thinking this is boring, that's when it was being filmed in front of a live audience, but as grown man I wish I could turn back time, that's all I can say.
@DevilsInBaggyPants1941

As side note, I thought it was boring because my mother was the coolest cook there was, and At the Time, Justin was not gonna beat my mom's cooking no way, but, hindsight....

I used to watch his reruns growing up just because he sounded funny. In addition to his famous phrases, he says everything in the past tense. He and Bob Ross both talk strange.
