4 years later and this video is still relevant. made me look at this car, got in to the showroom and ended up paying the down payment for one. now the wait begins. thanks for the review.
It's a shame the Forte didn't merge into the Ceed, the Ceed is way more attractive. No reason to have two cars in the same segment and one that always looks better.
Was looking into this car for some time...absolutly amazing car....I hope that next year i will have the money to buy it. For his price, the procceed is loaded with options. Great value for money.
@@AJThePlayerRU-vidChannel what do you think is best the new Seat Leon Estate 1.5 FR model or the Proceed you test drove? I am looking for an Estate type car that's still a bit sporty looking.
I have this car exactly the same colour (which looks brilliant) few things I've found after 5k miles Gearbox is a bit jumpy when reversing especially going up a slight incline Sun glasses holder rattles like mad with some glasses in there Rear camera could be positioned better it gets filthy very easily Collision assistance is sometimes a bit OTT Lane guidance is a brilliant feature however when driving on smaller roads it makes the steering quite heavy as your fighting against it No leds lights inside they're all standard yellow, I think thisnshouodnset the car off. It has lights on the door handles that come on in the dark but no puddle lights Heated seats and steering wheel is really fast to warm up which is a bonus!
hi man, Just ordered this car. How's it been treating you 8 months later than this comment? :D Also I assume that lane guidance cannot be disabled/worked around since it's not something I really need persé and I drive along narrow routes plenty times..
@@icksTeevee Hey, can't fault it really, had no MAJOR issues, gearbox is still annoying it tends to change down for no reason and hold the revs to high for non sports mode..... on sports mode, pointless, doesn't do anything but let it rev higher than in normal mode, but by the time you've hi 5/6k revs the turbo has ran out of puff so pointless, anyway, mine has got to go back to kia for a service (It's on 13k now) and the autp wipers have a fault (They stay on, front and back) so i have to manually set the wipers (first world problems i know) To sum it up, great car, i've done some really long trips in it, 4-5 hours at a time, never missed a beat, seats comfy although if you get the black with white leather seats the white does stain very easy (from jeans/trousers) so you may want to invest in some leather cleaner/protection, always just wipes off though, only other gripe is the wifi is very temperamental (if you connect to wifi it shows speed cameras and traffic issues on your route) i have to most days enable/disable it, sometimes re-add my phone/mobile 4g dongle Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any questions you need
@@H6NTY435D Thanks man. Well, I went for the manual myself so not to worried about gears shifting at wrong times...hopefully(haha). It's indeed a black/white seat config. Figured it would be harder to keep clean than all black but looks come at a cost I guess! I've never really been a big fan of using built-in gps since I really really like Waze on android/iOS. Which makes me think of another question: all this smartphone integration doesn't include screen mirroring perhaps? I've never had a car with this much tech and now that I think of it, that would be ideal for me, if that would be an option. Anyhow really really appreciate your feedback man. Hopefully the wiperissue "comes clean" and it's also part of kia's warranty!
SGR SGR have a look at the Optima GT Turbo instead, I picked mine up last week and it’s a very impressive car to say the least. It’s as large as my G6 Falcon, far better equipped and goes just as well, the amount of safety features on it more than rivals most European cars.
@@peterbuckley3877 not bad... I'm not really a sedan person. I have always had hatch and now wagons. I really like the look of the proceed that shooting brake style is cool. I am going to Europe in a couple weeks and really want to try one. Never been a SUV person even tho I bought the wife one.
Ryan R same here with the SUV, I did test drive the Sportage GT and was very impressed but when I saw the Optima and the fact it was the same size as my Falcon I opted for it instead, been very happy with it so far.
Oh, this car is made in EU, developed by mostly Europeans, for European markets, Albert Biermann (ex BMW) was key person for this car. One of the best choose in value/money now, I think. Nice car, full motors (4 cylinder, try to purchase petrol Ford Focus Active FOUR cylinder, no way), very good equipment, and the rest you will enjoy by test ride. :D
The reason it seems inspired by German Car design is possible because Kia's designer is Mr. Peter Schreyer. The man who designed many iconic cars like the Audi TT. Kia K900, Kia Stinger, Kia Cadenza and even the Kia Sportage have a beautiful design. They all look quite upmarket and come loaded with tech. I am personally planning to switch on to Cadenza (2018) as it is a great value for money.
Vikram Verma its very quiet and relaxing. It's not a sporty sedan. Its a luxury cruiser. Ride quality.. Smooooth. 5 yrs old, 65000 miles, the only issue was a muffler malfunction, but it was under warranty at 97 000 kms. My Audi A6 was a money pit by comparison. Take a limited model(not premium) for a test drive. The limited has all the goodies.
Super auto, dommage qu il faille prendre la gt pour avoir de vraies sorties d échappement, sinon c est un peu caricatural sur les versions inférieures et que du coup c est boîte auto d office
"They did produce some horrible shitty cars" Suddenly this is a car review that might have a fresh pov. Im thinking of having one now, even though it has been out for a few years and Kia is updating most of the range so im worried this is an end of life offer i am getting. I have not driven it yet, but it feels good, well put together and the kit for the cash is second to none. What is wrong with this car? There has to be something or everyone would have one, and i dont mean the missing 12v adapter in the boot lol.
Aj f*cking brilliant review, but sort your sound levels out. Bloody annoying gotta turn up and down none stop. Fucking love your style of reviewing tho so keep it up.
0:10 "car from South Korea"... Seriously? I expect journalists to educate themselves about cars they review! Yes the badge is south korean, but that's about it. I mean the name of the car "ceed" is an abbreviation for communauté europeenne European design! So designed for Europe in Europe and build in Europe! It's engineerd in Rüsselsheim Germany and build in Žilina Slowakia! Korean not even close...
No Scott, they outclass most of them. More reliable, for a start, and less expensive to purchase and service. Much more gear comes as standard and not as optional extras.
I worked for a company that insisted you had to have a German company car, I have had many in the 20 years working for them, but when I left I had to purchase my own car and got a Kia Pro Ceed GT and wont go back to German cars, Kia are no better but are far greater value for money. If your a BMW Luddite you really need to broaden your outlook.
Really? Do you even bother to learn anything, or do you just sit in the dark insisting that electricity will never catch on? You're making yourself seem like a friggin brain tard.
