I have test driven several Hyundai cars with NA engine .. But had the same feeling that the engines seemed under powered .. that's the reason why I guess Hyundai and KIA started stressing upon DCT and Turbo etc... But when it comes to the basics like the MT NA engines they are nowhere near to the Suzuki Toyota and even Honda..
@@sudiptokundu3257please compare power to weight ratio too bro Elevate max weight - 1250-60 kg Whereas seltos starts at 1320kgs and goes above 1400 kgs Same is the case with i20 - Baleno - Glanza and whatever same segment cars you compare There not underpowered even if not more powerful than japanese U just cannot match the smoothness of Hyundai cars especially i20 Whereas in reliability Honda is more reliable than any of those cars From the owner of - Baleno 2017 Honda City 2019 Elite I20 2018 Virtus 2024

Brother how dumb is that judgement, iv got the new turbo petrol of seltos gt line and trust me the diesel and petrol and miles apart, from the pickup to the pull, in this case you’re comparing a petrol to a diesel engine.
They say only VW claims less power.. Honda has also proven similar results in drag races especially with manual transmission in City, Civic and now Elevate 👌🏻👌🏻
Go for Japanese cars if you want a stable car with longevity and decent performance. Go for Korean cars if you are focused on features over performance and engine longevity
@@carname7391 Honda is Japanese.. Toyota Honda engines are for longevity.. Suzuki is good too if taken good care of Engine is more peppy, drivetrain is linear.. mileage best ! Hyundai was never in the competition with its Kappa engine .. They captured the market share with feature and looks until again Tata brought in the safety is priority mindset.

Honda is biggest engine manufacturer of the world and famous for engine reliability at the same time Hondas engines are powerful and fuel efficient..... In other hands Toyota does not make powerful or fuel efficient they make engine underpowered and oversized thats secret of Toyota engine reliability..... But still Honda/Acura comes at either at 1st or 2nd rank in engine reliability every year (not overall car reliability)....also Honda ranks 1 to 5 in overall car reliability every year
@@carname7391 I am saying that Honda Toyota Suzuki all are good. Among them Toyota sells most cars in the world across regions and demographic diversity. Honda makes good engine no doubt. But longevity wise both Honda and Toyota are at par. Refinement wise Honda engines are good. I have a Honda and Suzuki and I find the sound of Honda engines to be really smooth !!
Please do the drag race with Elevate CVT and Seltos AT.. Both automatic variant will give better comparison. I have Elevate CVT if required can join for Drag race..

The only way seltos diesel can compete with Honda or turbo petrol is by omitting dpf filter and reconfigure diesel tune... To prevent soot accumulation in dpf, power delivery is tuned to steady across turbo boost
Being seltos owner i completely satisfied ,good average 20kmpl plus,good torque causing satisfactory performance on highway with full AC on and servicing cost rs6 k for 10k
This might be unbelievable for Kia fanboys, but I drive daily on GN expressway and I can tell you that the way Elevate accelerates is truly amazing. And the best plus point is that it feels so secure and balanced when accelerating!
Booked Elevate yesterday. Thanks for making this video guys. I never liked Seltos but this video gave me a great satisfaction that I did not make a wrong choice. PS - the seltos guys tried hard every which way, he had good faith in Seltos. 😂
Kia is just a plethora of features with almost pathetic safety and build quality, and not even that great an engine. It’s just a car which looks good and is good on paper. Elevate is way better value for money and longevity

Torque doesn’t matters if you’re driving car on plane road… Simply the engine who have more BHP have the advantage….. and don’t forget Honda is still best in business to make small engines powerful😅
You cant win from HONDA VTEC after 4000 rpm its a rocket (comparing all the NA engines in the segment) one more thing that torque doesn't matter in drag race of 120/140 kmph.... higher torque can just give you a better launch only....
That's not a fair drag as elevate is manual where as seltos is automatic and we all know that manual mostly wins over automatic cause there is always a power delay in automatic
Guys Japanese engines are first choice, forget YT reviewers, ask any person who has under 2-3L kms driven under them, especially drivers. You’ll know. Don’t blindly follow the hype.
