Hey, Leon.. Thank you! Yes, the possibilities with this are extreme. As far as muting the parts go, it's hard because you have to set the Amp EG to long decay to avoid excessive stuttering of playback. Because of this, when you mute the track the playback of triggers stops.. but the sample just continues from the last spot triggered. I've gotten around this, though, by setting the track volume to 0, but motion-sequencing each step to volume 127. This way it plays back loud, but if I turn off Motion Sequence it mutes immediately.

Hello.. Yes, lol, the maths. It's a lot of work, certainly. I also used to use a W-30 back around 1990, which belonged to a friend. I ended up using an S50 for years, because I loved the sampling workflow, but sequenced with the MMT8.

Hello.. Thanks for asking. I still take a moderate amount of insulin, and still experience significant insulin resistance. For periods I will eat nothing but fat and greens, but have a hard time getting into ketosis, although if I fast for more than three days (most recent fast was three weeks ago) my blood sugar will settle around 70, which I'm told is impossible. As far as energy levels, body mass and overall health, a raw-vegan diet works best for me, but I have to take significant amounts of insulin to keep sugar under control, and I also crave cheat-sweets in a way that I don't experience eating fat. I realize this is just data, and I'm not sure what it means for me, with regard to the future.

Hello.. Yes, the sample start value determines where in the sample the specific trigger starts from, so if the values are properly placed the sample will always adhere to any tempo. It's important to remember that all samples, regardless of length, have 128 increments (0-127). So a 1-second sample has the same amount of divisions as a 1-minute sample, and for the resolution to be correct the increments have to be distributed properly.

@@danieklerr Thanks for this - tried out on ES2 from scratch - dudded again! - We only get a range of 0-100% of Sample start (not 0-127) and it just wont let you assign some values (86%??? weird example) . It worked out best for one Bar loops as the 'cuts' you couldnt get as fine with 2 or more bar. But it worked great - pretending your stereo loops were sliced - works great with Pitch knob and percussion loops

@@necronomicron5367 .. Nice, so you tried the technique on the ES2? That's pretty cool. On the ES2 you can put a slice part into all 16 tracks if you wish, which I did a lot for juggling breakbeats, so I'm not sure how useful this technique would be.

@@danieklerr well you are getting a "sliced" stereo sample in the ES2 with this (and you would on ESX?). I tried to also emulate thsi technique using the MOD FX 9 - is that BPM OSC? - on ES2 - that wasnt so successful but will spend more time on that

Hello.. I set all relevant values to automatically reset on the down beat, using Motion Sequence. I have two very old videos explaining more about this technique.
