NEW LG TV Software Update! | Software Version 13.30.50 | Not Your Typical LG Update! 

Picture is worse. Why are Game Mode setting grayed out i mean everything now. Had to chage to vivid to adjust black lvls colors clarity etc..

I'm in the same exact situation, my 65" C2 has 4.40.93 but wants me to update to 13.30.50 I don't want to lose features though but I can't find the dimming option he mentioned anyway though.

@@TheGibsOfTheTube you need a special service remote to access the service menu and turn off the dimming if you use the TV as a Mac/PC monitor or for Gaming in PS5/Xbox

​@RustyDig oh ok. I do use it for watching TV but also with Playstation 5. I'm assuming there is no reason not to update it then if this is my use case? I just didn't want to lose some sort of features.

Pixel brightness was already there before, just not prominently displayed I suppose.

I loose in my c2 Android assitant and no more 4k 120hz at the moment 😢

Select the pencil icon in the top right corner of the quick menu, and you will be able to delete them from the screen menu👍

On the website it says Google Assistant is shutting down for this update. That's a bummer if you use that functionality often

Yea I'm reading the asterisks rn on the TVs update menu , it says "Google Assistant is shutting down but you can use the Voice Recognition service provided by LG TV at any time" ... I suppose I'll wait to update for now, see if any of the other issues get ironed out.. specifically dimming, game mode features and eArc problems

Yeah it's been a few days so more and more people should have received the update by now.

Same and my Game Mode is locked on the “Sport” setting. I had a feeling that I shouldn’t have updated.

​@@JUGGA_NUTT yes ihave a same problem. And lot of color gone with the games :( and cant select :fps , rpg or any game mod :(

I have the same issue, but I figured out an annoying solution. For whatever reason, everytime I turn off or on the TV Wifi and then follow up with turning off the TV ( wait 5 minutes or so for the TV to power down completely ) After I turn it back on it works again. Tedious but necessary if you adjust brightness differently for certain shows/games.

@@potondim5772 I got it working again. You have to set the sound mode to game optimizer also.

For some reason, they made it so you can only change "sharpness" and "color" in the game dashboard menu if you're using game mode

Quick update - so it turns out APS has been overriding. Even though energy saving is off and my mode is set to Bright Room, the image was almost pitch black on night scenes when watching something. I noticed on Sky News that the image was abysmal and toggled through modes, low and behold it came back bright again with the paused image. It was like there was a filter over the image and I realised that TV was probably reducing the power. So the colour is back popping and looking bright. However I've noticed that there is blurred smudging with some images. Also noticed that scrolling writing has had issues with artifacts. Rewinding and replaying fails to repeat this so it's not the source or signal. This update is no longer up on LGs website for my TV and it shows the previous firmware. When I try to find it, nothing comes up anymore, so they clearly know there's an issue. Also in sound output settings for HDMI I now have options for Display Port, USB C etc when my TV doesn't have these ports! I'll find out later if it reverts back to forcing power saving once the TVs been off for a few hours. My previous TV did this after an update, I got sick of changing modes back and forth to knock it back.

@@Vokon they moved all the picture setting over to Game Mode ui and it looks softer blur even with sharpening at 50... LG C2

@@HazewinDog the regular picture modes seem the same dolby vision and hdr just Gaming mode tone mapping is grayed out no HGIG and image seems abit softer

happened to me too. LG wanted a service call to investigate, they would not accept it was a result of the upgrade

The file 13.30.60 was available for download but has now disappeared from the website

You have to restore the setting it happend to me but I loose Google assistant and 4k 120hz 😢

Update the app. It got an update last night.

I have and it says failed update due to error. I even deleted it and tried to reinstall and it says application has not been installed please try again…

Reset the tv then bro and it should work

I have tried resetting it to factory settings, changed locations, power cycled the tv. None of that worked. Then finally, today when I got home from work I turned on the tv and tried to install it again and it worked… so random…

Amigo que puedo hacer el modo juego no me deja trabajar con el menú como antes. Se ve horrible que se puede hacer.

@@edgardeleongomez8188 A mi me paso igual. Tengo una nvidia RTX 3080 ti con el LG C2. Me costo mucho trabajo configurar los settings del game mode y cuando actualicé la C2 se me des configuró. Por ahora lo que hice fue darle reset a los settings del game mode. Me fui a los settings de Nvidia panel para que la C2 haga el scaling pero le puse no scaling, y se ve bien. En lo que cabe.

Pues yo perdí el 4k 120hz , antes iba espectacular hasta la actualización, te go un i7 13700k y una rtx 4070 ti me jode mucho algo que iba bien

Cannot confirm. Looks and works like with OS22 for me. New is only the UI stuff. All other settings are still there.
