about 20 years ago Clinique had a liquid/gel bronzer for MEN. Since it was a men's line, there was a lot more product in the tube. I loved that bronzer for mixing and shade adjusting.
I’m with you on the skin routine -for the evening, mostly… I have stopped using a night cream etc., and replaced it with organic castor oil… it feels at first like it’d be really thick and gross, bc it’s very thick… but I wake up in the morning and my skin is so hydrated, there’s no thick stickiness or anything you may expect. It’s good stuff for those with a simple eye towards skin care. thanks for your content. Always enjoy your reviews and attention to detail! Especially the eye shadows… I’ve learned so much from you!
I agree with you about the Pat McGrath bluff balms, they’re great. I like that their shades are a little more nuanced, even if she is bringing out a couple of bright shades in the extension. They are so easy to use and look fantastic, even on my oily skin. I have that nude allure shade and it is so easy to wear every day. I love it so much.
I have soooo much fomo over this MBM because doesn’t launch in uk until later but I have the Saie and Thankyou soooo much for this! They don’t look that different. Would you say MBM is better for oily skin? I find Saie tad bit glowy.
I would agree, just from a consistency perspective. Because the MBM is a serum, which I think will be more appropriate for oily skin to use despite its natural finish.
I am so afraid of bronzer! But this video is challenging me to step outside my comfort zone - I now want to use all the bronzers 😂 Thank you, Alicia! Loved this video
Hey Alicia ❤ love your videos. I'm a bronzer powder gal but ill definitely consider trying liquid bronzers ❤ and thanks for the reminder to 'like' the video . Done 👍
What’s your thoughts on tretinoin? It’s the one ingredient that actually has a scientific basis. Honestly when I’m lazy I just do tret + peptides + basic La Roche posay moisturiser. because peptides and tret have real evidence behind them: not like skincare brands with proprietary blends or ‘special’ ingredients that only that brand had done testing for.
Tretinoin basically does what our skin is designed to do naturally, which is slough off the dead skin cells of our outer most layer, to signal new skin cells from the bottom to reach the surface (turnover). In order for the signal to be sent, those skin cells have to naturally slough off and not be manually or chemically taken off. The thing is there’s always a trade-off, and Tretinoin causes dryness and sensitivity issues. I rather just have my skin function as it’s supposed to without any interference. But if I would choose a pharmaceutical, life or death, it would be Tret.
@@aliciaarcher oh thanks got you Input! I’m currently using Tret bc I’m on accutane. And it was originally used for people with acne to prevent blemishes. (Then they started using it for anti aging). But yes there is always a trade off. Love you girl
😂😂 13:48 Yes Summer Complexionnnn! ❤ 🌞 🌊 (P.S. I love CeraVe! I had a dermatologist recommended it in 2015 and I've used it since! It's getting up there in price but so is everything compared to 10 years ago lol. At least its still under $20!
I've been eye-balling the MBM and Saie bronzers. I love bronzers and have too many for one person. 😅 I don't wear foundation, so I think the MBM might be the ticket, but I'll probably buy both. 😅 Add to Sephora cart.
@@aliciaarcher ok, fine.... I'll buy it. 😆 It reminds me a lot of the KVD liquid gel contour. I don't think Sephora carries it anymore, but that was my summer go-to.
I really love the rms and Phytosurgence bronzers. I also love the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate duo. I like cream formulas and powder formulas for bronzers. These are nice enough but I don’t find anything compelling. Those brushes are exciting ❤ Thank you for this ❤
I'm definitely looking to try out the new Makeup By Mario bronzer. I love his soft sculpt skin enhancer so it is right up my alley. It looks beautiful 💜
Self tanner is formulated to be applied all over your face, and cannot be washed off. Liquid bronzer can be applied either all over, or on the outer perimeters of the face/cheek area. If you do that with self tanner, it will look like a splotchy mess.
