It’s really not. Doesn’t have a v8 so it’s not an alternative. An rsq8 would be a good alternative to a urus, and it’s around the same price as this car.

@@harrisr1018well that flew over your head 🤣 are you even human? All these new SUV models are a LITERAL CASH GRAB 💰💰💰💰💰 They're all designed relatively the same. That front end is shared with multiple vehicles including the Prius and Purosangue. The body is basically a Mazda CX-5 😅 Go look at a Acura MDX then look at a Urus 😭 Porsche is the only manufacturer making good SUV models. It's sad that Mercedes is copying there designs. VW has now decided to copy Porsche too instead of Ford 😅 Granted they own Porsche. Volvo is more or less doing there own thing, until you look at the Lamborghini Urus headlights 😅

My family lives in China part time and we just put down the first payment for the S version. Test drove it a few weeks ago and the handling felt incredible for an suv this size. @Cloxxki
@Cloxxki Год назад
An EV Macan is coming, based on the very unimpressive (IMO) VW ID.7. Long, but cramped, due to bad packaging. EV Cayenne, I've not heard much about yet. They'll need a new drivetrain that adds efficiency to power, Taycan is solid but not amazing in either those respects in this day and age. The Eletre has more power and more battery capacity. Charging C rate is similar, but it adds miles like a champ.

If you were after an electric EV I'd rather have something interesting like this, it seems like the engineers have really worked to make a desirable car and not just another EV with the personality of a washing machine. Let's face it Lotus is a business and needs sales to be viable in the long term if this helps achieve that, and secures the future sports cars that will be needed to keep the brand relevant then it's a brilliant thing.
@nomoreheroes93
@nomoreheroes93 Год назад
It doesn't need to secure anything under Geely's ownership they're doing fine - they could've kept Lotus doing lightweight cars (MG is doing a convertible roadster) yet they've shown disrespect for the marque and completely sold it out just for a profit margin.

£89k for a Chinese generic SUV with a plastic Lotus badge stuck on it. Seems like a bargain…..

Can't wait until these hit the used market. Average 30% depreciation in YR1 = £70,000. Very affordable after fuel savings.

Sigh, where is rory. I get it maybe hes busy, maybe the channel wants a variety of presentors. You are good at making preview of cars pre release like infomercials, not full reviews. Topgear even does that they have a preview presentor and review presentor. Just do that When you do dual reviews with rory its awkward, when u do solo reviews your reviews are just empty and so boring. Sure its the same camera people, same writers probably And lastly this isnt justy opinion, many past videos people said rory rory rory And you people either delete their comments, ignore them, or have your fake account comment to support her

Love the front and sides, but the rear aspect styling just doesn’t do out for me. Hell of a car though, well done Lotus.

“Is it a proper Lotus, we’ll no, but that’s no bad thing, people simply don’t want proper Lotus anymore” What a load of crap! Of course there will always be a market for the original concept of Lotus. The woman managed to bin any credibility in that one statement.

Considering Lotis would have gone bankrupt without Geeky, I think she's right

@@davidk.d.7591 on what basis would they have gone bankrupt without Geely? Lotus have always managed to survive when other manufacturers hadn’t and created cars to rival any seriously considered track oriented vehicles out there. Also, they have for many years consulted and earned good money in consultancy fees, with many major manufacturers employing Lotus to assist in the design/ set up of the chassis dynamics. But back to my original point, there’s a huge Lotus following, based on the original concept, that being lightweight, relatively affordable supercar slayers, a community they have managed to alienate to the radical shift in ethos. For Lotus to declare they will make no further ICE vehicles after the Emira, will with the grace of time, I believe prove not to be the case, given that electric powered vehicles are on borrowed time, what with the development of synthetic fuels and the lifeline this substitute fuel will throw to the current ICE based vehicles out there, with keen owners eagerly and willingly ready to receive such a proposition.

hmm sucks that everything is a luxury SUV but its good for people that would have otherwise gone for a Tesla X but can no longer get one in RHD.
