For anyone watching the cons, the fingerprint unlock works flawlessly in general. And for other cons, it’s wrong to expect all iPad Pro specs in a lower model. But it’s good to know the difference to decide. I like to watch his videos for a new perspective though.
120hz screens do make a difference (though it is more noticable for some), it's just that the video was recorded at 30fps (30hz), meaning it would look identical. I don't like it when people slow down videos to show the difference, but there isn't a whole lot else you can do
Especially when you are used to using a 120hz phone ssuch as iphone pro++ s22++ Then u go back 60hz screen. You will literally see the difference hahaha i thought my previous 60hz phone slowed down
You can see the battery health on an ipad. Go to settings/privacy/analytics & improvements/analytics data. Look for the most recent “log aggregate” file and open it. Scroll about 3 quarters of the way down there file and you will find an entry called battery capacity percentage. If you can’t see any log aggregate files you will need to turn on the option to share analytics data with Apple. Once this is turned on a log aggregate file will be generated anywhere between 3 and 24 hours after turning sharing on. Once the file has been generated you can turn sharing back off.
I bought a Refurbished 2018 iPad Pro in December 2021. Haven’t regretted it; it still holds it own up against all the others, and the “missing” features I would never use anyway (extra cameras, LiDAR, etc.
@@drakata27 well since it's referbished the battery would be new and the m1 iPads actually hurt the battery a bit due to it being a higher wattage chip
iPad Air is to allow people with less money to experience the powerful M1 chip. Please Don’t expect Pro features on the Air because it will make the price go higher. Especially ProMotion. We Don’t really need that seriously. All we need is a powerful chip and big RAM. That’s enough for me. If you expect for face ID and ProMotion, just go for the pro. We need powerful iPad with less expensive price tag.
The sole reason I’ll keep the pro ahead is cuz of storage. From my usage perspective that’s a big W for pro. I hope apple upgrades air base version to 128 gb

I’m planning to buy a refurbished iPad Pro 2020 instead of the Air 5. I want the ProMotion, better speakers, and the extra 128GB compared to 64 on the base Air 🥰
If you are not going for the M1 I wouldn’t bother with the 2020. Just get a refurbished 2018 for less money. I’ve had the 2018 and 2020 and there is basically no difference.
Believe 2021 IPad Pro 11 inch is the closer bet to the iPad Air 5. Basically if a choice is given between a 256GB Air 5 vs 128GB IPad Pro 11 inch 2021. Pro gets some good upgrades for the similar price range. If Storage 128Gb is sufficient
The only reason why I went for the iPad Air 5 256GB Wifi + Cellular, was because of the Blue colour. Lol. I can definitely get the Pro 11, but Silver and Space Gray looks too dull. Also its my first iPad so I don’t really mind all the Pro features, I just want a larger screen than my iPhone to read documents while at work, and watch Netflix or do some drawings while at home. Can you imagine showing a 3D project design to your boss on a 6.7-inch iPhone? For content consuming sure it’s already that big, but it wasn’t enough for my work flow, and carrying a 15.6-inch laptop around the office seems silly, so the 11-inch iPad is so much more practical. Also the Blue iPad look so good with my Blue iPhone, just waiting for Apple to make the Macbook Air colourful, that might be my next buy. 😂
If I am fine with the Color in the pro11 inch (lol), would you recommend the air 5 256 GB or the pro 11 128GB? Not very concerned about higher end storage but the type of product that can give more value of money in this price range
iPad Air 5 is a 2022 model while the iPad Pro is a 2021 model tho, I think I would go for the iPad Air 5 with 256gb storage rather than going for 128 storage and spend 50 bucks more for the iPad pro. Even though iPad air is just a 60hz display but it feels like a 120hz display tbh.
If you never had promotion it’s not a negative to not have it on an air, in fact the air display is a positive upgrade on an ipad 2018 6 gen for example, which is what i was using.
The colour on I Pads , I phones shouldn't bother most as don't we all have covers on them ? Also with the iPad we don't get to see the colour if we using the I Pad

do you honestly think it's future proof? I think not, not with apples record. Yes they may release a full desktop mode but it will only be for the ipad pro 12.9 2023 or on. Even though this ipad could run the software no problem i 100% sure that apple will not allow the feature to work. They will make sure you have to buy the newest one.

I went from a iPad Pro 2020 11' to the Air 5 ... 3 Weeks later i switch to the iPad Pro 2021 11' ... if you get once the Pro Experience you don't want to miss that.
I get 8-9 hours of screen on time. From 100% down to about 3%. RU-vid on literally all day in the background while using the ipad for other things simultaneously
THe touch ID problem might be that ur fingerprint has faded (which believe be , happens). Maybe u should try another finger or just Touch ID isnt made for u ;)
I've always hated fingerprint scanners they just suck, not only on smartphones but just overall that piece of technology just suck 9/10 times just don't work and if you have sweaty palms then just forget about biometrics, I'm glad apple sticked with faceID
unlocking the "Pro Mode" by connecting the Magic Keyboard would be an absolute insult to us consumers, we already paid for the Chip inside the Ipad but to get the full results I also need to pay 300$ extra for an overpriced keyboard? Are you insane? Please don't support this absurd idea, I mean what the hell dude?
64Gb, Lack of Pro motion even as a big non ipad user its smoother and the screen tech...I would at least recommend the 11" iPad 128Gb. The air is decent for very light usage or if you don't really put alot of apps on there but even still to last years as the more your going to want to put apps on the more limit you will be.

I don’t think Apple’s upsale program will allow the IPads to do MacBook things or MacBooks to be more IPad like. So no pro modes (Dex mode) or touch screen Mac Books
I have the previous iPad and yes touch button never works for me and did so many delete and make new Touch with different fingers :( I am going to buy New 11" Pro when it comes out with the New miniLED :)
Considering the average consumer owns an iPad for 5+ years, then all iPads should have at least 128gb or 256gb base storage. Even if you don’t need that much storage now, you may need it in 3-5 years time since software updates and apps are always getting larger
my iPad Air 5 256 GB battery is running out fast. I only use youtube and safari, 100% to 35% after 4 hours. I turned off updating content and programs in settings, brightness is 60%
The size is definitely more convenient. The drawback is if you want to type a lot. Strangely, Swype is disabled on the mini’s full keyboard and is only available on the mini keyboard. Because the mini keyboard is so small, Swype prediction is terrible compared to any other iPad. If you like to type a lot on your iPad, don’t get a mini. I find the typing experience is awful. If you don’t, the mini is great.
I upgraded from my 2 years old Air to the M1, mainly so my wife could have my older one. I don’t notice much difference but I do like the Air vs lesser iPad for premium feel and (at least used to be) larger screen size (if minor). I also use the magic keyboard which I love and can’t use on the lesser iPads. As for Touch ID I admit it’s not as good as other options but I don’t have too many issues with it other then sometime I do hit the power button like you mention. Update: some of this might have changed as to how true it is with the latest iPads, dunno.
ya know what is crazy my ipad 2 is pretty unusual but for RU-vid and web browsing it works and has better battery life than my m1 12.9 inch iPad pro I would of thought the battery would be fried by now

Could someone let me know how to get the iPad battery replaced? My iPad Pro 2020 11” lasted two years amazingly but then the battery started to noticeably decrease around the beginning of this year, and I checked on the iMazing app, by connecting the iPad to my MacBook, that the battery health was 86%. I ultimately traded-in my iPad to Apple for personal/other reasons (not for battery decrease), and I wish I kept it… but, even if I kept it, it says online that, if you go to Apple for decreased iPad battery and want a battery replacement, Apple just replaces the entire iPad and doesn’t replace only the battery. So what is/are the best ways to get your iPad battery replaced? Is there any well-known shop or service everyone knows and uses? Does Best Buy do iPad battery replacements? 🤔🤔

Rear Camera … Who uses it for anything??? The Air is fine. It has the M1 which can be used to take advantage of the newer OS(s) coming out. [Yes, I find it odd the older M1 Pros have been left out] Products become famous for their real world uses, not tech specs. No need for debt b4 graduation just to jot notes and watch Netflix 😊. Choose wisely.
You can get replacement tips for the Apple Pencil. Apple used to include them with the Pencil 1, but strangely not with the Pencil 2. But they are available online, such as on Amazon.
