Nice equipment I don't really need but urgently want. But it's one of those pieces you think you don't need but very quickly realise that it's a pretty useful thing that you use regularly. Thanks tools! 🎉

I think there would be demand for a battery pack to be made of individual batteries to be used wirh the inverter. Just more modularity and flexibility for the user. I think they have an 18v backpack of 4 batteries

The square sine wave of some very cheap inverters is in fact not at all harmful to any digital equipment/device. The pure sine wave is actually for any equipment that uses a AC motor, a motor that actually cares about the current form. For heating purposes (aka resistance load) or any digital load (that converts the AC in a DC form) the sine wave is actually not very important and you can use any cheap inverter for this purposes.

They're definitely settings themselves up to make big stackable Makpac battery packs a possibility, Ecoflow style. It makes sense that it can't accept charge while discharging but that's a shame, it removes the possibility of having a solar input while in use. I cheered when you showed the PDC01 clips, glad the haven't forgotten about it and I do think a 40V PDC02 would make sense.

the old makita battery pack in my opinion was the best you put the battery's you already own. if a few cell go bad the new pack no longer good and cant swap a pack to fix

Ok so 43.55Ah divided by 13 gives us 3.35Ah per cell... Which is lowest rated capacity for some 3.5Ah nominal 18650 cells like sanyo GA, LG MJ1, Murata VC7, Samsung 35E. Now if we are baing precise few of those are 3.4 min (VC7 and MJ1) and 3.35 min ones are GA and 35E. So in theory it could be either of those, but Makita prefers to use Murata with Samsung in 2nd place. But they did use Sanyo on some occasions, and I haven't seen them using LG cells. Regarding the tool and the price, I know it is a lot (especially considering you have to buy an expensive battery with it) but it is very robust option, with nice sine wave so I think that some people will appreciate it for professional use.

That USB C port being capped at 30w is stupid. At 240W max that port is more capable than the outdated cigarette charger that's so prominently and unnecessarily included. Especially since USB C does 12v 5A.

Makita have 3 new 18v LXT vacuum cleaners {DCL284/5/6) which are supposed to have the same suction power as the 40v ones. Is this true and any chance of a review ?

I still wanted you to try the table saw! Mine is a dewalt 8 1/4 thats 1850w 😢 I wonder if a soft start module wired into my table saws switch would make this able to run the table saw....

Uses? 1. Power corded tools that are not available in a battery format - like a small table saw or bench planer; 2. Keep your home furnace or fridge running when the power fails

I suspect if a table saw was kitted out with a soft start it may be able to run something like the DeWalt 8 1/4"

I can't see much use for this unit unless Makita will make some sort of concentrator for standard batteries (especially xgt ones) in perfect world it would be 18/40v adapter for 6-12 batteries. Pdc01 is just lxt-battery-fryer and not capable of continuous high amp output. Before Makita make xgt batteries station I prefer stick with my ecoflow stations.
@riba2233

You have the battery adaptors with the backpack, just need Makita to whatever brand you use to get 18, 18*2 or 40 V output. No inverter needed.

Fan heaters throw out such little heat for the amount of power they use and money they cost compared to most other heating solutions.
