Love to learn a little bit more about your bike. She’s a beauty. What year? How many miles? I’ve got a 2010 with 50,000 miles, bought it from the second owner at 47,000 and everything‘s been fine so far. Bad thing is I don’t know it’s history but I heard it was owned by triumph mechanic. Just wondering if you had the manual Timing chain tensioner? Have you had any adjustments using it? Thank you, sir
Hello and thank you. She is definitely coming along! 2010 year Mileage is 43000km(26000 miles) Mine is also the manual timing tensioner, havent needed to adjust. One thing, at around 40000-45000 km(24000-27000) the 675 needs valve clearance checks. I need to do mine. I am lucky as mine is riding loose and not tight. You can hear the slight tick. How does yours sound?
@@Js-Garage thanks for the reply. I’m assuming the valves have been at least checked once. I’m not hearing any ticks or any rattles from the Timing chain either and she’s got plenty of power so I’m leaving well enough alone for right now.
@@Js-Garage I was just curious if there was a standard operating procedure for the manual tensioner without opening up the valve covers to check the tightness of the timing chain
