The Mara at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of our favorite resort quick service dining options on Walt Disney World property. Since they just revamped their menu we decided to stop by and try out their new offerings. Also, it's the Holidays at Animal Kingdom. We were lucky enough to try out some Lodge exclusive Holiday Treats and take a look at their unique Gingerbread display, The Gingeraffe!

The Mara is on point. The bowls definitely round out the menu in my opinion.

I love both vegan options at the Mara, the chickpea salad wrap and the falafel bowl (I hope they are still there)! The chicken and shrimp bowls look tasty! I am a big chai fan so I think I would love the Santa hat. Zebra domes don’t disappoint.

I know all about the never-ending Christmas tree panning shots you speak of, Sam! 😂 We had a similar reaction to the centerpiece in Treeville at Hersheypark! Unsurprisingly, the tree at Jambo House is bigger, better and has grander ornaments 🤩 We were also straightup LIVING off the Mara menu during our RunDisney stay in early 2022 and will vouch for the quality of the QS menu, but the new items definitely seem to take it up a notch. That shrimp bowl looked amazing, as did the flatbread. Recipe calls for one chickpea - AND ONLY ONE! 😂 As good as the holiday dessert looked, the ringer at the Mara is never not going to be the Zebra Domes 😍 Way to spark the cravings again! Great video guys, makes us miss the AKL something fierce.

Ahhh I miss treeville!! Jambo tree might be my fave resort tree, but still haven’t gotten to Wilderness Lodge so that may change. When we stayed for our honeymoon Mara was such a staple. Zebra Domes are 🔥 Thanks for watching ❤️

Imagine a chive flavoured cake, no thank you 🤣 the Mara DOES have one of the best flatbreads in WDW and the zebra domes too😍

😆 no chive cakes for us. Mara Quick Service is top tier for us. This flatbread was better than most pizzas we've had in Disney.

I found the resort very dark it needs more lights especially at night scared to loose my toddler

I think it gets dark at night because the architecture and decor are centered around natural light. I enjoy the atmosphere but can completely understand your challenges with it.

We actually filmed one we never released it 😆. How much of our personal lives we want to display is a constant debate for us. I'm sure we will one day. We appreciate your interest and support 🙂.

Top-notch food at Animal Kingdom. Maybe win we come in August we can try the Mara. I love me some good chicken thighs. High in protein and cheaper than breasts and you know what they say. Thick chicken thighs save lives.

I did not like the domes tooooo sweet overrated! Tge best dessert was at Boma buffet tge apple and raisin tarts omg soo good

We love the Zebra Domes but can definitely see them not being a hit for some. Boma is a gem. We'll have to be on the look out for those Apple and Raisin Tarts next visit 🙂.
