I love the Metabo HPT line and have actually switched to run all metabo hpt tools. Glad I commented on your Dewalt power stack 5ah battery video because I didn't know that they also released the compact 4ah with the new 2ah one. I'll definitely be grabbing some of these new 4ah batteries because all I really use are the 36mv batteries and they can get bulky on these compact tools. Thanks for always posting great videos and your my go to on metabo hpt info.

I love that metabo hpt subcompact drill sooo much I bought a second, and then a 3rd when i found it on sale, great lil tools i cant wait to try em out with the new 4ah

They've changed the design of the 36v batteries to match these new compact ones, and they've also added rubber to them similar to Milwaukee batteries. I'm sure it will be some time before they make it to the US though. They've also just released a new 36v drill driver(DV36DC) with 1371 in lbs in Japan. It, or the hammer drill version will be the new kit companion to the WH36DC Bolt.

I got the Metabo HPT driver/impact that’s been on sale (Lowes and Amazon). I’m especially impressed by the impact… the triple hammer and trigger give it really excellent control. At $99 that 4 Ah battery would need to be heavily discounted for me to consider it (especially since the kit came with 3 Ah batteries).

Metabo HPT has batteries with ‘gauges’ on therm?!? 😮😂 LOL @ Brian saying,” Welcome to the 20th Century.” Yeah, i love Metabo HPT, but they still need to ramp up some of their stuff, and make it to the 21ST Century! Great Review Video, Bro, and those 4.0 Ah batteries look to be the deal here. Now if they could just put some decent lights on their drills and impacts, and make a FWD/Rev switch that isn’t so dang mushy!!! Peace! 👍✌👊☺

I'm a profesional and I totally love the HPT line, it's our preferrred brand, and they are hands down excellent quality and durability..

I have the 18v deep cut 6 1/2 circ saw, I love it, but one issue I have. I can't find a dust port adapter to hook to my shop vac, do you know where I can get one?

In Australia that 300ml Caulking gun comes with a 600ml attachment included. Which is a pretty cool selling point for Hikoki

Metabo appears to be Lowe's answer to Home Depot's Ridgid line of tools. I donated away all my Ryobi 18+1 tools and although Lowe's Kobalt line is a better quality than Ryobi, I had 2 cordless drills that slipped the clutch with the settings all the way up almost immediately. Hopefully Metabo's cordless drill will give me the torque I need.👍

The sander is great but watch out for not pressing down with your palm too hard or too long, cause it could cause you to have a carpal tunnel syndrome. Be safe you all!! 🙏

I believe that the newest ones; the 1820M and 1840M (the green batteries) run with newer (larger?) 21700 battery cells. The old ones you tested, the 1815 and 1830 come with 16500 cells or 18500 cells or something like that. Therefore the 2.0ah battery you tested ought to outperform the 3.0ah battery you tested

What is that piece of equipment on the top of the blue cabinet above the miter saw, against the back wall, off you left shoulder? It looks to me like an antique manual trap machine?

What Hikoki/ Metabo HPT needs to come out with is a 36V-8.0Ah Multivolt battery (heck make it 36V-10ah for that matter, it still wouldnt be as cumbersome/annoying as having to use the AC adapter for the different kind of work i do that require high mobility/speed combined with capability to tackle heavy work loads over extended periods of time). As someone having experience useing (and also currently owning) things like their largest angle grinder, the SDS MAX rotary hammer and the reciprocating saw for heavy duty work i have noiticed that these tools really drain even the larger 36v-4.0ah multivolt battery fairly fast, now this isnt in of itself a problem with regards to being able to do extended periods of work as this is simply solved by having accsess to multiple spare batteries, however at the rate i have seen these batteries have been drained at it does make me really concerned with regards the longevity of the batteries and this is where a larger battery with more cells to distribute the powerdraw on would come in really handy (and yes i know this also comes down to factors like the type of batterycells that is being used etc.)

Metabo or Rigid, many good, reasonably priced options.

Do we know what cells Metabo is using these days? I saw speculation that they are using a genric cell now, but I wasn't sure if that was just internet junk or the actual truth. Thanks

I would like to see Metabo HPT come out with a track saw, and it should be compatible with the Festool, Makita, Milwaukee tracks. Also, it’s really time they revisit their cordless miter saw. The last one was pretty atrocious, and I am a big fan of their stuff.

METABO 4ah looks a lot like the 4ah dewalt lol

So there batteries only last one cut? Why would anybody buy these tools? I guess that’s why Lowe’s is closing them out.
