Huge shout out to Bloodcross from Finland releasing their “Gravebound” album early July! Discovered them completely randomly and couldn’t be happier! Well. Maybe seeing them live might change that notion.
@@Sxecaba appreciate it! My other band Mother of Graves has a new record dropping with Profound Lore in October if you’re into the more melancholic side of dm/doom.
@@brandon_howe no way dude! I had no idea…I have a Mother of Graves longsleeve from your last record! Loved it…small world. Many props, appreciate your work!
Happy birthday, and thanks for listening to and selecting Arx Atrata alongside those other great underground releases. You are obviously a man of exquisite taste.
Finally getting to this video a week after it released! I heard about that new Mayhemic album being compared to Pleasure to Kill by Kreator... and *OH BOY* is that a perfect comparison when I heard the snippet here! Excited; thrash has been rather scant in the 2020's for me so far.
Cool, definitely going to have to check out the Void Witch, Arx Atrata and Obscene albums. I'm also looking forward the new album from atmospheric black metal band Liminal Shroud (Jul. 5) and the two new screamo releases from Blind Girls (Jul. 5) and Respire (Jul. 26). Also, the new Vimur album technically releases on Jul. 5 but is already listenable on their bandcamp and it's fantastic black metal.
well that was... interesting. This is literally my only way of keeping up with what the kids're producing these days and I feel like I'm in good hands. Thanks, Blane the Terror Train!
@@itsybitsyzombie oh really? That sucks I didn’t know that. Although if you are a black metal fan you have to assume that lots of the bands you like probably have questionable views and just try to ignore that.
@@niallruane7045 yeah, he had an old band that put out a split with an nsbm band, he was also allegedly spotted at a festival with those types of bands playing a number of years ago. He never confirmed or denied his political views, but I think if the band has no involvement in that scene, they should be fair game even if the people behind it are questionable. But this is Blayne's show and he can choose which bands to cover and not cover for any reason he sees fit.
@@itsybitsyzombie I was wondering myself why Blayne didn’t cover it as their last album took everyone I heard talking about it by storm . I followed his other band Nightbringer also. Mgla had the same problem of being tied to that scene as well due to the label they’re on but they deny being apart of the labels political ideologies. Like you said it’s hard to tell who’s actually a card carrying member or just unfairly accused guilty by association. I enjoy Akhlys and tend to not follow any rumours or media that discuss a band’s personal lives and drama and just enjoy the music. Anyway it’s Blaynes’ show and he’s well within his right to showcase whoever he wants. Or not, doesn’t change the way I enjoy his show or himself. I have nothing but respect for him and enjoy his work plus he seems like a great guy. Hopefully Akhlys turns out to be like Antichrist Siege Machine was proven wrongly accused of the same thing and Blayne can enjoy their music.
Your taste buds just have an unquenchable hunger. They matured and refined another year now. Sarke, Sabïre and Wraith are occupying my ears right now. But most of my anticipated albums are releasing in September and October. Obnoxious Youth, Butcher, Spectral Wound etc. as you may know
Happy Birthday!! If we actually knew each other I'd already know what to get you. I'd just have to scour the internet for bands that I can't stand and buy the records as gifts. You are guaranteed to like most of them.
Missed out on mentioning release of Mages Terror debut album 'Damnations Sight ' out July 12th - invictus productions... Featuring members of Portal, Consummation and Pustilence 👍🏻 Australia underground
Any fans of Melodeath, on July 5 NYKTOPHOBIA releases To The Stars. These guys deserve way more exposure, melodic death done right. Highly recommend their last album What Lasts Forever.
I love Doom. I love Death Metal. What I don't love is Death Doom. I don't really think they mix all that well. Whenever I hear Death Metal vocals on a Doom record it feels completely out of place. Maybe one day it will hit me.
@@Hellenicheavymetal they all sound exactly the same though. This channel never covers anything different. They have never even talked about the Callous Daoboys and how they breathed life back into Mathcore.
You guys should talk about the brand album Canadian band Krokmitën. It's their 5th albums and you guys never talked about them ever. Their last album THETA features drummer John Longstreth of Origin and Gorguts. They made a full album lyric video for the album. You guys should at least review it. @krokmiten
Hey, guys! How are you doing? I am a huge fan of the channel and have been following it for a few years now. I'm releasing my 5th single next Friday, July 26, and I'd love to share that with you. Paranoia Church is a Toronto-based, self-produced, one-man band exploring different nuances of Traditional Metal, featuring a bunch of cool people. On drums, I've got Fabio Alessandrini (Annihilator, Bonfire, Lione's Rhapsody, Enforcer, Whiplash, etc). A few Brazilian guitar players, such as Rod Rodrigues and Victor Gueiros, have featured on solos. On vocals, I've got people from all over: the Greek beast Tasos Lazaris (Fortress Under Siege and Savage Grace), the Italian Valeriano di Zordo (Stargenesis and Agarthic - Frontiers Records), Ecuadorian Carolina Padrón (Tribus), and the upcoming track features the American multi-instrumentalist Samtar. The first three singles are straight-up Traditional Metal (Priest, King Diamond, Maiden, Accept), but on the last one started experimenting with other elements. The upcoming one, 'Back to the Ocean', takes a completely different direction. I've added some Hammond organs, and Australian trumpeter Kelly O'Donohue joined me with a set of trombones and trumpets. All the released material so far is available on my RU-vid channel and all other digital platforms. If you're interested in checking out the next single firsthand, give me a shout, and I'll send you the link before the official release. Cheers! Stay heavy!
