Because on several websites there are different images that show the color poorly. Some look matte black. Nothing else 💁‍♂️

The guy you mentioned look gray color was in Thailand, and blck color was Japan. Anyways I was one of the first one to purchase couple and if I get it before you, I'll send the first one to you to open the box. thanks for update.

I literally got tired of waiting on the Metanium DC to come out, so I picked up a ‘24 Steez sv tw xh, best reel I’ve ever put my hands on! Still getting the new DC, I hope it’s more black, would match up perfectly wit the nrx+

Wow that sounds good... I love daiwa, now I really want to buy the 24 Steez. Have just bought the 23 Steez A2 but I can’t stop buying Steez 😅

@@andersbomortensen757all my reels are the jdm ‘20 Metaniums, but that Steez is in a league of it’s on. Last month I had a 2nd place bfl finish, so I wanted to buy something nice. I mainly use up to 12lb floro, capacity on the jdm Steez is 12/80. I’m really tryna justify getting another, the US version is $750, I’ll never pay that but it does hold more line

I don't like having a computer think for me. I love centrifugal brakes and often make long casts at risk. For this reason, my choice is Shimano Metanium 20.

The reel looks great. But I see a bit of dark green in that black. anybody else seeing it?

It almost seems like an iridescent black. The dark green is slightly coming through for me too

How does this compare to the new Antares dc md? Trying to decide between the two. Please help

What? How the hell did you come to that conclusion? The two reels are so far apart on what they’re designed to do.. the Antares DC MD is a reel for large swimbaits and power fishing heavy lures. The Mentanium is a 70 sized spool, not going to hold a lot of line, but would be great for normal fishing techniques especially things like jerkbaits, Texas rigs, frog fishing, jigs, spinnerbaits etc. it’s not going to hold a ton of line so you don’t want to be using it for throwing deep diving crankbaits, or any bait that’s really heavy that’s going to launch and spool all the line off your reel.

This Metanium will probably not have the line capacity to fish really thick lines. I just had the SLX DC XT out on the field with 30lb braid and easily cast all the line off. The new Met will have similar line capacity.

@@THEREELTEST will definitely be going with the Antares dc md then. I bought the slx dc xt after seeing your video and I frequently cast nearly all the line off.
