New Mizuno T20 Forged Wedges | Review

Let me be the first to say - thank goodness for the S400 shaft - when I special ordered my S18s it wasn't available. I see a nice raw 62 low bounce coming my way - can't wait - and thanks Chris for coming up to Toronto!

it must be quite cool for Vosnall to see experts dissecting "his" clubs and to see the results he knows exist in the clubs. He is allowed to talk hi-tech language and knows that the information will be brought into the testing and sales at TXG. I am not sure I have seen that many shots from Iron Byron showing "straight" on the spin axis.

Sure like to try these T-20 wedges in the raw finish. Love how they incorporated the Tour Issue S400 shafts like Cleveland did on the RTX-4 line.

I have the 52,56,and 60 in the blue ion finish and they are absolutely perfect. 🤌

Mizuno S18 wedges are superb, I have 3 (50, 54 & 58) and cannot praise highly enough the consistency. I struggle with chipping, but I cannot blame the wedges for that! Only downside for me with T20s is no black finish - I am a sucker for a black wedge - I claim i is because you do not sun glare from a black finish but the truth is that it just looks better to me

Loving this Mizuno release and Chris, Ian and Matt with such knowledge and understanding. Chris is a wonderful guest.

I can't wait to test these in store, I loved the feel of the S18's however they didn't have the S400 Ti stock, now that it comes with its an instant purchase! Gap wedge and Sand wedge here I come!

Bought 2 T20 wedges, 50 and 55 degree, to compliment my MP-20, 7-PW, and all I can say is WOW!! Just back from the range, used them for 1st time, and initial impressions are EXTREMELY positive, especially full shots with the 50 degree, to such a point that I'm debating whether to buy a separate 46 degree T20, lol!!?? Now that would be extravagant, but they are amazing!!!

After the PING wedge video the claims of Mizuno about consistency of their wedges in wet conditions, would be great to see how they perform after you spray them w water!

Chris's knowledge and enthusiasm about his products make me want to play Mizuno irons, should I ever improve my game enough to warrant a better club.

Thx for the video with Chris. Purchased 48, 54, 58 and having success with them even witih the high bounce in M and C Grind and tight, dry lies. Would like Mizuno to carry Nippon Pro Modus 3 Wedge 115 at 122g as the 105 is a bit light. Had 115's put in by a clubmaker but the extra dollars were high.

I have been looking at Cleveland for my new set of wedges for grind, loft, and bounce options. I would much much prefer a set of mizuno wedges and feel they would be the best for a set because I'm getting mizuno in the rest of the bag. Can't wait to see how they go through the turf when you do that video. Thank you TXG for the vids, and thank you Chris for putting your rep out there on the line and designing a truly beautiful series of clubs (the entire mp20/t20 range is jaw dropping)

Didn’t like the S series....too big for my eye. Loved the T serie though. Blended very well with my MP18 blades. Couldn’t get my hands on new T wedges at the start of the season because a new line was coming (this line I suppose). Changed to Mack Daddy forged which are also great wedges. But when I change to new ones next season I certainly will give the new T wedges a go😃 love the video’s with the both golf guru’s ...those video’s are never long enough 😜👍🏽

Great info - I have the Mizuno T4 wedges - love the brushed chrome - hate the matte grey colour of the face on the T20 - would love it if there wasn't such a contrast between the face and the rest of the club, the T4 is one of the best looking wedges at address

Whenever companies talk about hydrophobic coatings on their wedges I take it with a grain of salt - because it's gone after 10 swings in a bunker. But I love Mizuno's (and Chris') constant search for perfection rather than marketing. They modify their clubs based on feedback from players.

There are so many really good wedges out there at the moment, but £140 each means if you buy a set of new wedges you are now paying what a set of irons cost 2 years ago, crazy.

Always enjoy your club reviews, just purchased a set of JPX21 Forged irons 4-PW, looking to convert my old RTX588 wedges to Mizuno T20 series or ES21, assuming the T20 would be the more classic choice in the gap wedge, is there an greater advantage to using ES21 in the sand and lob wedge or stay with T20?

Hi, just wondering what grind bounce would you recommend here , I’m from Ireland 🇮🇪, my course has spongy fairways and high rough , our bunkers are compact sand sometimes hard pan, so I’m wondering would a 58 degree in 12 bounce with a c grind be any good for me ? Would love to know your taughts ? I have the s18 in 60 degrees already it’s 6 bounce it works wonderfully well in the bunkers but I can’t always use it on the fairway or rough because it digs in too much!

Is a wet test relevant if you choose a raw grind??

Why didn't you do a "wet" test like you did with the Ping Glide? I thought that was incredibly important information and hoped it would become a standard in your testing.

It's as though Mizuno engineer clubs based around players' needs, other companies engineer their clubs around launch monitor peak performance...

Are the wedges available for lefty’s?

The little rectangular badge on the back side is bad design in my taste, can't fault it if the performance and price are there though.

...and thank you to Mizuno for making their irons AND WEDGES PARTICULARLY .25" longer than Vokey and all other manufacturers. I know ZERO players who don't order their clubs longer than standard. Retail clubs fit nobody in length..

It’s amazing how Titleist has brainwashed consumers into paying premium prices for their CAST Vokey wedges. Oddly they have said that the casting process gives them tighter tolerances...ummm that’s what forging does, can’t be both.

How do I hit a 50 degree wedge the Same distant as Matt but 50 plus yards shorter on driver:)
