Leaving these modes in custom mode would be a good way to keep them in the game, and to this day I don't know why they removed the remixed siege from the game, it was as good or better than the payload.

I think it was simply because the premise for having the mode was to experiment with different item mechanics over the course of the season and as a a potential replacement for Siege and it might simply not have gotten the reception they thought it would.

Bro dredge is built for this, he uses the portal and that one card that makes him fly when he shoot’s underneath him

In WoW, when playing Capture the Flag game modes, movement abilities similar to Dredge's Portal, Evie's Flight/Teleport cause the player to drop the flag where the ability was initiated and the player moves slower. The work-arounds like Dredge's Broadside card might still work, but might still cause the player to drop the flag.
