I bought a new 2024 M3 RWD last week. I’ve never been so excited about something in my life. Absolutely love it. Test drove a M3P. Loved it even more. You get used to the new features pretty quickly. People need to stop whinging about silly little things like that.

And yet a $37,000 car is STILL a huge expense. A used £22,000 model 3 with 103,000 miles on the clock and some 90% battery after 4 years… where the first year battery health drop was the largest move and the next three years virtually no change in battery degradation… saving 10’s of £1,000’s over life of car, likely 20 years and 500,000 miles 👀🙏🏼🧠👈🏻 leaving thousands to buy solar roof panels, inverters, batteries providing over supply for cloudy days and total off grid … just saying

I'm surprised how efficient the 2024 M3 RWD LR is. EPA rated at 25 kW/100 miles, over first ~1300 miles I'm getting 20.5 kW/100 miles and 4.84 miles/kW. Charge at home.

Tesla M3 are very cheap in Quebec with $12,000 credits until Dec 31. They are moving hundreds of cars per day 6 days a week currently. Rows and rows of new cars been delivered at all the 5 service branches.

I've driven the highland performance and LR and agree they are a great upgrade to a very good car. The refinement and build quality has gone up a notch. I thought the lack of stalks was going to be irritating, but immediately got used to them. There are a lot of the Highland Model 3's on the roads here in the UK, they must be selling very well. The first highland I saw out in public was on a trip back from southern Italy, they were charging at the Dijon Sud Longvic superchargers in France.

My older son just bought the model just before quarter ends, so we got the low interest rate as well. Definitely quieter than my 22 LR AWD and my other son’s 22 RWD LFP.

You can get Tesla Model 3 (made in USA version!) 2019 RWD Long Range on the second-hand market in The Netherlands. Five years ago - this already was a deal. They took it out of the market with the 2020 upgrade which as of then was made in China. I'd go for a US version .... excellent second-hand option. Like, second-hand: looking for value, why care about 4wd (except in snow-ice rich environments).

Lol ice cars might only have 5 years left before becoming absolutely and utterly obsolete. Might even be 4 years. Batteries and e-motors are literally getting better, safer AND cheaper at the same time while gas is getting pricier and just as dirty as ever.

We've kept our cars for 20 years as well, but when we realized how much safer Tesla's EVs are, not only for our environment, but for their passengers, as well as dependable, low maintenance, convenient and overall affordable, we decided we could not wait for our normal 20 years.

i think what really makes it more comfortable is really FSD and the software. being able to relax your mind while you make very long distance drives with full self driving is incredible. i know you like to talk about how good chinese EV's cars, but no matter what features they have right now none of them can compare when you factor in tesla's FSD. and i went from going all german luxury cars to tesla's and right now i don't even care what features are new to german luxury autos. they can't compare with FSD

Ford F-150: 391 miles of range (23 gallon tank times ~17 Miles per gallon) This Tesla: 373 miles of range It’s possible to buy a Ford truck that gets over 500 miles of range (Largely due to the F250 having a larger tank) but the key point is that EVs will now have a range that is within what used to always be considered normal.

There is very little compelling difference (for me) between getting the standard range and the long range Model 3. I don't do long distance driving, and if I do its maybe once per year (if it all). I drive about 30-50 miles per day if I use the car on that particular day . The last year I've done less than 6k miles. I can pick up a Model 3 for £299 per month UK but would have to pay a 3600 deposit, but I could stretch to half that deposit and pay around £350 per month. Im currently paying 315 per month on a PCP 7 year old Mazda MX5 RF Automatic. And it seems from what I read the standard range is more efficient than the dual battery LR in city roads which is where I will do 90% of my driving

keep going man. I love your videos. Maybe some of them are not 100% factual, but I understand that they come from your enthusiasm about EV's and it's fine. BTW I hope Tesla will bring a similar variant to Europe as well, and also a cheaper model 3 (than the current cheapest standard RWD) with better LFP pack (better charging and winter behavior)

Its a ev that is far superior to any gas vehichle in its class . The minimalist control mechanisms make sense with a car that is going in the direction of self driving . I am not sure why you even need touch screen controls when you only need voice comands .

It only exists because the US doesn't provide a tax credit on Chinese made batteries, CATL supply LFP batteries to the RWD Tesla's everyhere else in the road.

@@PM-oo7wpIn the EU very hard, if not impossible. Tesla's are way to expansive for the broader EU market. Since there are many brands with EV's starting around €25.000. Remember . . ?, that $25k EV that Musk promissed several years back, and turned out to be just hot air? Tesla's in the EU are for the rich and the high salary companies. Average salary is less than €35.000. So buying an EV that is a lot more than what you earn in a year . . . . . is not within reach for the most. €25k is more affordable, and that is what companies like Renault and Stellantis are doing.

1/2 the price of $35k. What new ICE vehicle can you get in the US for $17,500 that drives like a performance and luxury car? Look forward to your response. Regarding range, so what, most people are stopping before 340 miles to take a break on a trip any way. In fact in most situations, the range won’t be a factor.

@@michaels58 Its 55k in Canada , so for 27.k , i could get : a Venue , a Kona , an Elantra , a Jetta , a Corrola ...... the model 3 is not a luxury car by any mean. Your right about the range in most situation, like the Model 3 acceleration advantage , useless most on the time for this type of car. But in real life, is just more practical to refuel your car 5 times a year on road trip than race a Elantra on public road 5 time a year.... and the FWD Elantra is probably better than the RWD 3 in the snow.

I'll debate you Mr. Viking sir. The M3RWDLR isn't the best Tesla. It's now the 2021 Model S long range. Qust a quick search can get you one with just as much miles after degradation, much more power and a much overall value. Think outside the box, people. If you're highly anticipating the miracle $25K EV because you can't afford more, should you really be thinking about buying a new car in the first place? The affordable Teslas are already here, not hidden in plain sight, but in plain sight.

Yet there’s millions of people, like me, that paid our hard earned cash for a Tesla and still rave about how good they are. I bought mine used with 44k miles on the clock. Now it has 140k miles. Still going strong. Still super cheap to operate, and still better than any gas car that I’ve owned in my 38 years of driving.

Do not buy a new EV if your sole objective is saving money. I have just purchased a Model 3 because I wanted to try an EV, however I have no expectation that the total cost of ownership which includes depreciation, will be lower than my previous diesel car. An ultra low cost lease where someone else is taking the deprecation risk may be an option, don't know if these are available on the more desirable EVs.

The cheapest car is the one you already own outright. Those who have their EVs won’t be needing a second one so therefore sales among the middle class and lower are not happening. The rich have their EVs and the manufacturers can’t sell them to anyone else because no one can afford them, nor charge them as they don’t own their own home and paying rent and putting food on the table trump any EV.

@@ConstanceCox Because of the road rules, if you drive on the right side of the road to turn right at a roundabout, you indicate right coming into the roundabout and at 180 degrees indicate left to show your intention to exit.

I'm not interested in any car with no instruments, information or HUD in front of the driver. And the usability disaster that is indicator buttons. When Tesla fix that the current cars will lose even more value.
