I’m a little sad that they aren’t bringing back palamutes and might be axing palicoes for a game but on the other hand these pterx looking bird Wyverns will hopefully be just as charming and potentially have a lot of cute interactions and animations
I agree with this, palamutes for me are exchangable, this wyvern looks very fun to ride. But I don't ever want to lose my palico D: Rise had a much smaller role for them though so I wouldn't be surprized if they took that direction.
I think the palamutes arent returning but its mechanisms is, in the form of bipedal, quadrupedal, and gliding raptor! Also i think palico wont be axed, its such a mascot almost as the same level as rathalos. They didnt show any palico on world's reveal trailer in PSX 2017 either
Its very interesting indeed! It looks like a bowgun in the animals sleeve right? A switch weapon system would be very interesting if its allowed mid hunt, but if its open world, it could be that we carry two weapons while we are away from the hub/village with no item box to refer too. Can't wait to find out!
I hope we get a new weapon, and I hope they make a great game. It's giving me Africa or Australia vibes, and there could be some cool monsters based on real animals.
