NEW Movement Glitches in Tears of The Kingdom are BROKEN!

I can't wait to bring you guys more Glitch/Speedrun/Challenge videos in the future!♥ UPDATE: Recall Launches, Infinite Height, Whistle Sprinting works on the latest version 1.1.2, however the Sorting Duplication and Autobuild Cancel Slide only works on Version 1.0 - 1.1.1

This is SO exciting!!! BotW was such a fun game to speedrun, even as a terrible speedrunner, I can only imagine TotK winds up being even better!

For the new sprints in the game someone could probably set the rhythm to be a certain BPM and just set a metronome to it

it’s only been a week and there’s already such crazy glitches and exploits discovered i’m excited for the future of speedrunning in this game

I forgot to stand in front of a wall while duping zonai, i found out that you can just press Y+B when ever you summon, it just doesn't spend any and all of them appears. So basically you can just have one of each and bring them out one by one with no cost

The whistle sprinting alternative is also in breath of the wild but since it was never used much is probably the reason nintendo forgot to patch it

The one where you spin a weapon is actually sick af especially since its just the physics doing its job. It doesn't feel like a glitch I think it just shows how far you can push the engine

Honeslty the recall launch doesn't even feel like a glitch, it's just using the mechanics smartly to launch yourself, which makes it even better lol

It's insane that the dupe glitches got better and better with each passing day The first needed two bows and a 3 frame timing window all to dupe one single item at a time [and even then could be inconsistent] The next did up to 4 items at a time, but required the target item to be last in the inventory and you to have a bunch of items you only have one of, and also needed shield surfing so it'd gradually cost you a shield And now we have this one which does 5 at a time, is wicked fast, and costs nothing

I like how theres all of the creators i usually watch just playing through and having a fun time and then theres linkus

The triple jump is such a lifesaver. I was so worried bomb resets that were used in Advanced Combat were gonna be gone, but it looks like it's even easier to do now

it's honestly crazy how powerful that dupe glitch is, and how easy it is to do

Upon my recent useage of Autobuild Cancel Slide, I've found you can also have it fly in the air as well, depending If the structure floats after the glitch.

Another video I saw mentioned that if you're paragliding and you use the Rito sage ability, if you put away the paraglider and immediately take it back out near the end of the boost, you'll retain a good portion of the bonus speed, letting you go much further and faster. A small way to make the duplication glitch even faster: if you do the paraglider method off a decent jump (I like the walkway by the Lookout Landing tower to the ground below, since there's stairs right there to get back up fast), you can do the duplication multiple times in 1 paraglider jump as long as you immediately take the paraglider back out. You can keep doing it until there are 20 items on the ground. (since the game has a limit on ground drop items) So once you have 20 or more of an item, you can jump and dupe four times, duping 20 items per jump. Finally, if you do the shield surf method for duping, do it in a sandy or snowy area - your shield won't take durability damage from hitting the ground in those areas. I wonder if any of these glitches, such as the duping one, exist back in Breath of the Wild. Seems many of these are "press B and Y at nearly the same frame" to cause, so I imagine there's applications for this in BotW 1.

6:42 the duplication technique is actually more OP then what’s displayed. If your a little bit more elevated and you do the same process (press start, hold items, press Y + B at the same time) just REPEAT THE STEPS AGAIN while mid-air. You can keep repeating it however long you are gliding and you continuously add 5 at a time without losing any in your inventory, and by the time you land you can have up to 21 items ready to be picked up. (Thanks critical 🙏🏼) And you can mix match whatever items you want the whole way down. Have fun! 😁

With the duplication glitch you can chain it. As long as there is enough height and your quick enough to reopen your menu before you hit the ground you can do it repeatedly before completing the fall.

Sad that most of them have been patched 3 days later

Great to see the plank-launch being talked about. I think I might have found a more consistent setup (semi-consistent at best) for heights of around 1000 units. Unfortunately the setup to reach the skybox from ground is heavily inconsistent and can't figure any markers out to create a better setup.

I haven't watched any speedrun videos for this game because I want to finish it myself first but I can tell just by looking at these that speedruns are going to be insane

I wont use the super fast movement glitch because i like using the zonai devices, but i really think its cool that we are going to see speedrunners use this in the future

I was able to gain a lot of height with the first method with a wooden platform like the one you used and a small brightbloom seed (also worked with salt). I just did the same thing but I had my motion controls pull the object upward while in auto-build which made it always try and go above me. Then I just used Ascend to get on top of it and it pushed me about as high as a tower launches you.

when i do the autobuild cancel slide, the plank just starts flying up in the air and idk what im doing wrong

This segment with future Linkus in the middle summarizes perfectly the current state of TotK, where new glitches and techs are found all the time

thanks to all the content creators for finding these. this game is so huge and there are so many things to do and ways to explore, i personally don't think these types of glitches hurt the game at all. it just makes the game even more fun than it already is. if you don't like it, then you don't have to do it.

I've been trying to do the auto build cancel, but the structure keeps floating without falling to the ground, making it impossible to stand on it.

I found another tip for the duplicate glitch. You can turn on a fan and float perpetually keep doing it while in the air and you will have a sea of duplicates under you without your inventory ever going down it’s awesome

tip for people who want to do the autobuild cancel slide. If your autobuild puts the board above your head, run up against a tree and use ascend to get on top of the board. If you do this you can gain height while also being able to move insanely fast in the air. If you control it right, you can fly as far as you want. If you go too quiickly it will make you fall off. Also iif the board begins to fall, i don't think theres anything you can do to change that. I just did it and got to hyrule castle from around the lookout landing area, but i'm sure it can be useful for other things too.

Ohhhh this is juicy, and the best part is that patching a lot of these would require to remake the engine from the ground up

Developers: * Patch all the glitches from BotW * Glitch Hunters: "and we took that personally"

If you do the paraglider duplication (at least with large zonaite) you can get up to 10 pieces. When you do it with either zoanite variants, you’ll get a pop up in top right. Failed glitch shows “-“ success shows nothing and double duplicates is “+”. So basically if you see a +5 or whatever on your zonaite count, you got 10 pieces with the glitch

The Y+B duplication glitch was patched in 1.1.2

Yo, love these glitch videos with the more casual-friendly glitches! I want to finish my first 100 percent casual before i start breaking the game wide open, but stuff like the new whistle-sprint and duplicating something to break rocks are nice to just reduce some tedium ^_^ Also, i actually think bow sprinting feels a LOT less awkward on my hands than whistle sprinting did lmao 😅

When I heard you couldn’t whistle run I was genuinely upset, I know it wasn’t intended but it was so damn useful. Glad to see all these new movement options.

I’m running into a problem with the Autobuild Cancel Slide - once I cancel the autobuild I can’t place the phantom plank back on the ground and it sits above the ground so I either can’t jump on it, or it throws me into the air if I do. Does anyone know how to keep control of the phantom plank once you cancel Autobuild?

Note on the infinite height, the abilities menu has slight input lag when pulling it up, so it makes it easier if you hold L slightly before you jump slash.

Linkus the bow dupe did work with capsules but this thing 1000% better ! Thanks for keeping us posted

Just a note: be careful when duping bomb flowers... found out the hard way just now.

Can you update the title to explain how some of this has been patched? Like, atleast update the description and change "Infinite Height, New Dupe, Whistle Sprinting" to "Infinite Height, New Dupe(PATCHED-OUT), Whistle Sprinting"

Amazing intro to the video. 10 seconds in, and I know that some crazy shenanigans are gonna happen.

on the auto build cancel me and a buddy tried on latest game update for swtich and emulator 1.0 game file on emulator it only goes walking speed. on switch latest it builds like 10ft in the air and you can't get onto the platform, even trying to manipulate it down is a headache and almost impossible. idk maybe we are dumb

question about the duplication glitch how do you know you aren't losing an item? just because its not the nest item in your inventory you might still lose some other item.

If you do the movement glitch with the plank but have the plank slightly above your head when it spawns if you get it stuck on something the ascend through it you get launched

For the capsule duplication glitch there is different distances for each type of capsule to the wall that will allow the glitch. so check out 1 first then if it works do the multiple ones.

Love that everyone was worried 1.1.1 would patch the bow dupe glitch only for it to instead add an insanely more busted dupe any item up to 5 at a time with much less timing required.

Edit: I was wrong I think it's probably important to warn people that mid-air sort dupes will eat up the next thing in your inventory, unless its in the last slot at the very bottom of your inventory. You ate through all your ancient arrow heads and all your other gems duping diamonds.

The midair sort also works with just a shield jump like the old method

During zonai duplication, after you've pressed sort and close at the same time you can then press the pause menu again to double the amount and speed it up further

This new dupe glitch is way better because I noticed with the other shield dupe glitch it would actually end up deleting items in your inventory

Linkus, it would be really cool if you did a Speedrun Guide once the TOTK speedrun routes start getting more optimized and standardized

I literally just tried the duplication and got it on the first try. First glitch I've ever done other than whistle sprinting haha

Thank you so much! That dup glitch beats everything I was doing before, needs basically no set up, is most efficiently and didn't fail once. You can even duplicate fairies, which could be combined with gloom, having only one heart and knight's weapons (desperate strength (though I don't know how strong it is, yet)). So you have one heart all the time but can't die, because of your hundreds of fairies

I literally laughed out loud two different times this video. (When he first launched himself with the Apple/wood, and when he duped 5 diamonds by touching the ground lol) awesome vid Man, keep it up!

Neat thing about the mid air duplication is you can re-pause if you're still on the glider and do it again, from the step he was at I managed 3 times, so +15 every time.

subbed. I'm a casual player that likes to use movement glitches (OOT rando player too, nologic lyfe), and these are just what i was looking for to add a glitchy angle to my chill casual play through, thanks!

I found a glitch where you can walk break. Put a spring on a hover stone and activate it so that it smooshes you through the wall. It can take a few attempts but I got into the Gerudo underground by using this to glitch straight through the door. Maybe someone else found it already but I thought I’d share it in case it hadn’t been found.

that duplication glitch in the video is so much better. you dont need to have fear of that one eating up materials next to it or have it on the bottom of the inventory. im having lots of fun with these glitches/exploits

I just gained a lot of height with the autobuild cancel slide because the build was tracking link from above for some reason and I ascend on it. This is so fun!

doing the autobuild glitch with a glider plataform facing link (so the tail is away from link) allows you not only to build speed but height, you can even speudo control it with the wings, just dont go to far on the wings or you will be send up flying away from the plataform, and if you atatch a controller to this, and you try to operate this thing, it will stop mid air do not use the glider plataform in the intended direction (face away from link) or else it will flip and knock you down

I completely forgot that spears rotate when thrown, so the recall launch makes so much more sense now.

was messing around with the Autobuild cancel slide, fuse the wooden platform with a weapon and then use ascend through it, makes a weird ascend animation. Throw a control zonite machine on it link spazes out.

While I was doing this and screwing up the button combination, but not noticing because it was working. I have figured out that holding zonite devices with your paraglider out and while in menu and hitting Y+B will spawn them but leave them in your inventory.

Just last night while I was playing I actually was just messing around with sprinting and found out a similar alternative by doing the same thing in the video but with a shield

funny enough when i tried the plank and apple speed trick, i subbed the plank for a stone slab and rather than moving forward at insane speeds, it just launched me into the air at crazy speeds xD

For the duplication glitch, I found it works best when shield jumping! For consistent results, make sure press and HOLD the attack and back button. I get it like 100% of the time when I hold both of them for a split second longer.. Thanks for uploading!

Did you know Linkus that if you do duplicate glitch with shield surf en do Y + B and pause the game real fast (in same shield surf animation) after you can do the glitch twice so it gives 10 instead of 5

Do this glitch, but build a cube with no ceiling. Once the glitch is performed, you'll have a cube floating above your head. Ascend into it. You can go literally anywhere and everywhere without falling. I can't wait to see new techniques with this. I'd love to hear more strategies!

make a box without a roof made of 5 carts. save the build and then drop 5 carts when needed. Autobuild cancel then ascend from underneath. Infinite movement in any direction. Spam jump to go up or just go in one direction.

5:30 omg I've broken so many shields with a wing attached trying to duplicate items 😂 Who knew that I could just do that with a paraglider lmao. I also tried whistle-sprinting when I first started the game, but I found out it was patched, too. However, instead of pressing down on the D-pad and B, we can just press ZR and B now (and not have that annoying message that our horse can't find us) 😂 These are great tips, and I appreciate that there were no spoilers!

Tried the ABC slide. It's really hard to control. One use I found for it though is getting koroks to levitate next to you for easily bringing them to their friend's smoke signal.

You are the reason I started taking speed running seriously years ago.

Just because I've watched so many videos on the duplication glitch but nobody mentions that you can do multiple dupes before landing. Glide off something that gives you a lot of air time and as long as your letting the items spawn in when you "drop" them and don't repause too quickly you can just keep going until you hit the ground

I like to do my autobuild cancle slides a little bit above the ground. its a pain to accend into them, but after that you have a actual plane.

I’ve been using the last slot duplication glitch, but now this is so much easier

the spear on the recall launch doesnt have to have a plank fused to it, and the best way to do it is to fuse it to the front of the plank not the side
