I had to cut like 15 minutes of information. I'm sorry If I speed thru it. Boundary Break TotK: • Out of Bounds Zelda | ... Discord: / discord Twitch: twitch.tv/timberxcat
Weirdly poetic that Light itself is the only thing that can enter the sacred chamber! Funny how the emergent properties of glitches can loop back around to feeling intentional sometimes.
the amount of effort put into this reminds me of Klerik's videos from when breath of the wild was new and he had to put a lot of effort into figuring things out himself 10/10
What a compliment! I cant take all the credit tho, so many people found and learned about these glitches that I used and then taught them to me. So I build on a foundation they laid and would be nothing without them.
The gameplay, tech knowledge, the script, the editing, the animations… mans got all the chops to be a massive RU-vid channel 👏 Awesome video, may the channel grow ⚔️
It feels fitting to reach another boxmap or “dimension” using light, it's just an actual sci-fi trope. Stranger Things uses light to communicate between the Upside Down and “Rightside Up(?)”, Melia of Bionis and Nia of Alrest communicated through Light while pre-Aionios. And hey, that last example was made by a team that would have been programming TOTK.
The moment someone else mentioned it was fitting that light was the only thing that could do it, that was my thought too. "Oh my god it's just like Xenoblade 3." The idea that there was no ""distance"" between the two; distance is used as a visual reference when in reality they were in the same place all the while on two different planes. That somehow light is the one thing that transcends those realities. Now... To be real, I think in *our* world the universal constant is gravity, not light. But that's a lot harder to represent in a cool sci-fi-y way. It doesn't carry the same powerful symbolism either. (Tangential; this isn't based on much evidence but I've had this nagging feeling for a *long* time that what we see as "dark matter" is actually something like this. An entire world (or more) that exists parallel to our own operating on a different "color" of matter that we born and made in this world have no means to perceive... but can observe the implied existence of because gravity is seemingly this universal constant...)
The fact this has anything less than 100k views is astonishing. You've got an insane amount of potential - especially with your knowledge of a game barely 5ish months old
It makes sense why it doesn't. It's less to do with this content and more to do with the Switch and Zelda not being as popular as they used to be. I mean, Zelda is still popular, but the new game isn't as popular as the first one.
I find it fascinating that the game doesn't just load different areas on different planes of existence, like most games do. Very odd for them to done it this way, IMO. Great video through and through!
I adore this video and love the complex nature of methodically manipulating the game with complex combinations of glitches. The cannon platform alone near the beginning was incredible to me, and that "Let me summarize hours of my life in world record time; this is the best shrine" was a perfect joke. Well done, I will probably rewatch this one lots.
ive never been much of a fan of glitches but this is crazy. it's just like, a science. like you cant get the source code so you're literally performing experiments to discover how the game world functions. its like real life scientists discovering the laws of physics
In the older versions of TotK, there is a glitch that by overloading the game with indestructible fences (found from the construct factory) at the final boss, it is possible to corrupt the game's memory so much that you'll appear in the title screen room upon reloading your save. This is reminiscent to the "back in time" glitch in Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, where when Link does the respawn sequence after falling into a void or continue after a game over, and resetting the console on a specific frame causes the game to respawn Link into the title screen. 4:11 Also, can you link to the tools?
Simply ridiculous. Well done Timber and thanks for using 3D models to explain how maps work! That made it much easier to understand. (Also my B-Day is the 16th. We're basically Birthday Bros)
I'm surprised this video doesn't have more views, you explained things so well! I loved the part with the 3d box. New subscriber, I love your content :3
That’s an earned sub. S tier video. Didn’t even need your upcoming birthday! Fantastic explanations, storytelling, and visualizations! Also, jokes on you, I remembered the zonai light when you asked what the worst device was, lol. I don’t even use them
holy macaroni this guy timber got cleaner vids than 90% of zelda content creators. if there was a double like button on yt, i'd press it on this vid. you gained a sub + a bell :) i think that you're gonna blow up if you continue these types of vids, with these GREAT explanations. your voice is pretty relaxing too anyways have a nice day :):)
I’m glad you like that! I mean low key less people comment asking about the music which if we are just talking numbers is probably a bad thing. But I like doing it. I want more people to listen to these songs. Less barrier to get to them.
Dang, this video was so elaborate and good at explaining it. Also nice choice with the loop hero music! I was going to suggest maybe a dragon part, since I vaguely remember they don't like to despawn, but that almost definitely wouldn't prevent culling.
hit the sub button, my man YOU'RE INSANE, THIS IS INSANE it reminds me of the twilight princess title screen glithc but like legietamtley for u to figure this out mostly by urself is INSANE, I HAVE MAD RESPECT FOR U (also i wouldnt at ALL mind longer vids fr)
Thanks Thanks! Hindsight is 20/20 but if you like this then I really probably should have left in what I cut out. I really thought it was good information but I just had to let it go. I made a 30 minute video and it did poorly, but thats more likely due to the fact that its really really chill.
and mostly by myself is correct, but I cant deny all the wonderful people in the glitch community that found these glitches and learned more about them and helped me learn more about them. I've only built upon a foundation they laid and would be nothing without them.
Happy birthday! Also, I haven’t played totk for a couple of months, I think when zuggle was just found. Now there so much more, this is insane. Great vid
The giving up and just making the script for the video around 13:00 only to immediately be followed by subsequent testing because you just couldn't let it go is such a mood.
I love this video due to it's sheer complexity in teh glitches used, and how much the game break if you do very small certain things in a super specific order
Subbed. Fun informative content. I love that you put the names of the OST's. I'm an old man, playing since the SNES so I recognize a lot of them, but don't always know where they come from.
I love that you give credit for all the speedrun glitches, the Zelda games have such crazy glitches, but I've never found or used any of them. Really informative, entertaining, and just what a great fucking game huh?!?
Yeah! I wouldn’t have ever made it this far without the glitches they found, so they deserve just as much credit. The game is crazy. The amount of glitches is one thing but the different utilities they provide and how they interconnect is a game of its own
@@Timberwolfee Absolutely not man! You're great at explaining all of this. I'm always so fascinated by people breaking games without really understanding how any of it works myself, you made it clear and interesting! Keep up the good work!
great video! and as a bonus, I couldn't stop laughing when I realized how similar your manner of speaking sounds to Brady Brandwood (Leon the Lobster guy)
Had a glitch where the mural walls actually despawned leaving just the frames somehow after getting to the final boss, thought it changed because I was at the end, but it disappeared when I reopened the game
i was thinking when i saw the room was completely dark but it lights up orange in the title screen that anything emitting light would have the best chance glad you got there before the video came out
