Thanks Mike! I can't wait to get this update and try it out. I think some of those new features they put in there are going make this machine even more fun to swing. I have to give Nokta credit for going the extra mile in giving this machine all these updates, incredible!
The Legend is going to be a superb machine after this 1.80/1.08 firmware upgrade. The new audio gain function and the new iron filter masking function will make it easier to search old grounds that have much iron like hand forged nails mixed with good targets.
Hey Great Video! you are very good at explaining things! I do have a question though. I will be going to a mountain freshwater lake in Washington state and was wondering if you could give me a tip or Two on some settings? Please! I also own the Garret AT Max, but I am so fascinated by this Nokta Macro Legend! I have owned the AT Pro also! But this is my go-to machine now thanks to your videos and alot of others! I have Emailed Dilek, and she is awesome at getting back to you! But enough of this Rambling! I appreciate the time you give us Fellow detectors Thank you!
Nice vid Mike. I do not and have not run Nokta equipment, but do reccomend them to all who are getting into the hobby. Simplex+. Maybe I'll get one later.
Thx CZ! I have tried the Simplex and Anfibio was not really a fan with either because i clicked with the Vanquish 540 and Equinox. This 1.08 is loaded with impressive options.
This is what I'm talking about. Metal detectorists rely on very easy to assimilate tutorial information. Relaxed, well articulated sentences coupled with a steady use of control functions is easier to remember...Nice and steady does it..... Learning a machine isn't a race, instead it is more of a 'middle-distance trainINg jog', talking slowly as you proceed.....and repeat.... until 'fit' for the courses. Gabbling on like a person on uppers, whilst flicking erratically through menus settings so that there is more time to swing to and fro, to and fro, in order to satiate the 'need/addiction for multi-repeated bleeps' is not the way at all, in my op...Confidence is of paramount importance, especially with a new machine. Rushing/rip-assing around is a no-no. Good steady, concise tutorials rule...Steady delivery of content seldom loses it's appeal to repetition... Good job Mike.
@@IffySignals Mike, do you know what the score is with NM printed Owner/User material in relation to the latest v1.08 up-date, please. Would you consider that NM will provide the owner/s with an option to print out these up-dates to include with their original Owner/User Manual, or, will NM print the v1.08 up-date operating procedures in up-to-date Legend's Owner/User to accompany the machine when the batches of Legend's with v1.08 become available as a set unit?
@@KernowekTim good question Tim. I am not sure what the plan is for the manual. I just her Dilek mention that the update may come before the manual is updated.
I would love to see nokta makro put a iron filler on the single frequency's you want to talk about a silver killing metal detector it would make the legend the best metal detector on the market because sometimes you can't use multi frequency because of emi and if you use single frequency then you loose the iron filler and you can't hunt where is a lot of iron just a idea for the next update
Hello, I noticed in the Legend Update 1.08 test that every time the noise cancel balance gives a variable number in the same place and at the same time, and these numbers have no effect in removing the air noise. What is the reason?🤔
Hi Divar, might be to much emi in that location for it to pick a channel so it is trying to pick the quietest. If it is still chirpy after a noise cancel try dropping the sensitivity a little bit.
@@IffySignals Thank you, but I also checked this issue in the desert, it didn't make any difference, it selects a channel every time I press the button, in fact, I think this option doesn't really work properly, and it's better to inform the company or try it yourself, thank you.
I have a quick question Mike. When you are running pitch tone and have the audio gain low, like 2 or three, does the pitch modulate with target depth like tones do?
I've tried to update my detector but the update process seems different to 1.07. So far I have failed miserably to install 1.08. Any tips welcome. Thks.
@@IffySignals I open up the update on the NM website. A Nokta Makro Installer appears in my downloads. I double click and it takes me to a Windows Installer and then the process seems to end.
@@IffySignals ok thank you so very much I do appreciate you answering my emails I try not to bother anyone but some times I have to ask questions thanks again buddy
@@IffySignals I have had the nota makro for just over a week and I have found coins that I know I missed with the equinox at pro and the at max I found a barber quarter that was 8 inches deep and a mercury dime and 2 buffalo nickels and 2 war nickels and 25 wheat pennies and $4 dollar's in clad I absolutely love the legend it's a great metal detector but if they was to put iron filler on the single frequency's it would make it even better
