Hey Quick question. When I go to tools, I don't have the same options you do. It doesnt have an option for extend mode. It just shows configure and start and stop runtime. Any help would be appreciated!

I've been trying to play Windlands lately and I'm new to the Oculus Rift. I would like to know how would I make it so it'll work. Or, at the very least, have the 'Extended Desktop To HDMI' Mode not be sideways.

I followed your directions exactly (THANKS FOR THE HELP BTW!) only problem I'm having is in Direct Access from apps mode I can't get display on my Oculus at all. And in the other mode my screen is sideways or comes up on the wrong screen. Am I doing something wrong or is it my hardware?

I tried a dk2 demo in a shop quite a while ago, I thought it were awsome, then just recently I had another go on a demo and found it kind of looked like I were in a goldfish bowl. I don't remember it being like that before. Could that be because of eye cup type or adjustments where someone else fiddled with it ? I brought myself two gtx 980ti g1 gaming cards ready for the consumer version. I seriously can't wait. If I had know much sooner about the dk2, I may have brought one already. Thanks

Im about to buy a dk2 but i not understand the hdmi installation part. If i only have 1 hdmi and 1 dvi (i currently have my hdmi plugged in my monitor) which one is preferable to use on the oculus the hdmi or the dvi ? I wouldnt mind swapping my hdmi to dvi for my monitor.

Obvious question maybe stupid. When plugging in your HDMI from the Rift to your video card do you unplug the slot your using or do you plug them both in? Like I have a HDMI cord im using with my card that goes from my monitor to my card. Do I unplug the HDMI cord and use the one from the Rift or do I leave it plugged in and use the DVI to HDMI adapter and plug it in that way and have them both plugged in?(My Video Card only has one HDMI slot)

I cannot get my apps to load on the Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 screen Direct HMD, it gives me error that this feature is only allowed in Dev Kit 1, I updated my software, do I also have to update the firmware or is that done when I install the software on the PC?

Hi, I recently followed your tutorial and it worked perfect! Thank you for that, but there seems to be a problem with the OculuConfigUtil. It always crashes when I start it up, but all the other games seem to work fine. If you have a solution or any kind of help it would be appreciated :)

Hi, Im using a amd R280 graphic card, I want to use it with duel monitor too. Does my graphic card support it?

Whenever I run the demo, It will show up on the PC screen and when I move the mouse it will move around the scenery, but when I put the goggles all I can see is my windows logo :S what am I doing wrong?

Hi there! Live you video and I understand everthing and got the games running. The only thing that annoys me is the lens. Because I wear glasses and my vision is not the best, I saw a some new lens in the box but I'm not sure if it's the same lens or stronger lens for other people with glasses please respond :D

OK so everything is recognized, I now have a blue light on the head tracker.. But! The rift the orange light on the rift itself is still orange, is that supposed to be orange or blue? I'm not getting picture in the rift but the rift and tracker are synched... What am I doing wrong?

I have a problem running my games. For some reason even when I have the oculus extended the game just starts running on my main monitor instead of my oculus. Do you know how to solve the problem? Thankfull for answers! (Also I have dual monitors + my oculus)

Hey man, what if your graphics card has 2 HDMI slots, and one is plugged into the monitor. Would it work if I plugged in the Oculus into the other slot?

still have orange light my synce cable to camera is not the same as most peoples one end is curves and the other end is straight which one goes into the camera? either way i dont get why its not being recognized

Hey! I just got my SDK2 and it's great but I can't run any apps aside from the oculus world demo and the demo scene! I downloaded a couple from the share section on the oculus site and they are clickable and seem to want to open but nothing happens! I am on a mac. They are ".app" files. Strange. Help if possible!

Shoild the USB be plugged into USB 3 OR USB 2? Or does it make a difference?

Dumb question, but my lenses aren't "popping out." They're pretty stuck in there. I'm afraid to muscle it, because I spent near $400 on this thing and don't wanna break it. Is there any lock mechanism aside from just twisting the lenses for the first time? The manual says nothing on it, but I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

Any please if you have any older versions of sdk Run-time can i PLEASE use it version 7.0.0 remove duplicate display and that is the only way my oculus DK2 will work

HELP, I instal oculous runtime installer thing for windows, but when I do the install after I tell it whee I want to place the folder, and stRt installing it, it gives me the error. Error copying file from packed archive. I am on windows 8.1,tv hx for your time.

I only have one HDMI slot, so should I plug the Oculus into the DVI space or my monitor into DVI? Can DVI display 1080p at 60FPS?

My Oculus Rift won't start. The light is out. When i plug the USB/HDMI back again in, it gives light for 10 sec and then it goes out... I don't know what the problem is. i've already played like demo's etc... Maybe its because my brother pulled out the usb and HDMI without shutting down the Oculus Rift? Idk...Can't seem to find any solutions on the forum.

i did step by step and after installing Oculus Runtime it never asked me to restart pc. is this common?

Hi, I have received my oculus but i can't get it to work correctly. The light on the camera is blue but the headset shows orange. When I try to view the demo in the config utility option the screens that pop up on my monitors say not responding or they crash. The headset shows nothing and the light still shows orange. We have tried switching HDMI connections (I have 2 on my pc) and have tried switching USB connections (USB2 and 3). The config utility shows a pic of the oculus so I don't understand why it won't work correctly. Can you give me any advice?

hey can somebody give me a clue here as to what my problem might be? when i run any demo on my rift, the head tracking will work, as my camera is flashing blue. The rift however remains orange, and the screen stays black. it's the same with extended screen mode. The computer recognizes the screen and says it's there, but there's no blue light or screen image on the headset I have no idea what i did wrong though. Everything is connected properly.
