My Hdmi cable wont be detected. The screen in the headset and sound are working but I just cant get that green check mark for the hdmi. Could anyone help?
so at 12:30 where you put the headset on my oculus rift is black but I can hear music. I tried reinstalling the updated drivers but it is still a black void no matter what I do. its plugged into a dp spot on my graphic card through a hdmi adapter cuz my tv hdmi is plugged into the only hdmi spot on my graphic card plz help.

Can someone please help me, it says "Update Your Graphics Card Driver", I have been following its steps and I cant download both of the suggested apps. I have an AMD Radeon (TM) RX 570 and I try the AMD website but it doesn't show my graphics card driver there. The computer I got said VR ready so it I shouldn't have to return it.

My Oculus Rift arrives on March 26th, 2020. I can't wait! That T-Rex must have been a really cool experience in VR. Not so sure about looking down from the high rise building though.
@@TechHarvest I unfortunately have to limit myself to an hour or less at a time due to motion sickness. Other than that, it is nice to finally be able to move my avatar's arms in VRChat. I have not really done anything else with it yet.
this is the pain on the ass. I stuck at the installation stage for few hours, error in installation but it doesn't indicate any further detail. How come the hardware doesn't come with the driver and it need to install 12G files to make it work? Damn
Just bought a Alienware desktop computer & oculus rift & I am stuck on update you graphics card driver… is that an additional purchase? No support center:( please help if possible … thanks
Pretty simple free fix. Just google the website of your graphics card's manufacturer ( probably amd or nvidia) and navigate to the "Driver Download" section. If you need additional help just google a tutorial after learning your card's manufacturer.
Maybe use a HDMI to display port adapter and plug your monitor into that then the adapter into a display port (if you have one) then plug the rift into the HDMI port
How many USB ports do you need for you computer avaliable to have the whole Oculus work? I have been really confused about this. I really wanna by the Oculus but I wanna make sure I can even use it on my computer before I buy it :'D
I get an error message telling me to restart my computer every time I try to set it up. I have been trying to install the set up for 2 weeks and every time I get this error message. Please help!
You had more luck than I did! My C: is full and trying to run the download to another drive is a nightmare. Oculus give you some lines of code to overwrite the Run command! Never seen that before in any download.
you need to press the Windows button + R and then there should be a window which says something like run put C:\Users\YOURNAME\Downloads\OculusSetup.exe /drive=D in if you want to install it on D instead of C
TechHarvest no. I’ve tried it a lot and I’ve tried whitelisting ports and etc. I think it’s because of the graphics card isn’t compatible with oculus. So I think we’re going to need to get a new computer, unfortunately. Thanks for the help.
It would only affect online games or downloading games. Make sure your rig has the minimum system requirements to run an Oculus before buying one though.
When I take out the HDMI from my graphics card it turns my monitor off, how do I fix that? If I plug in my OCULUS rift HDMI it shows display through it but tells my to return to the monitor, but its turned off?
You need to have both the Rift and Monitor plugged into your graphics card. If your graphics card only has one HDMI but also a Display Port, use the display port for your monitor and the HDMI for the Rift.

Hello I am unable to get to the hdmi stage. My tv is plugged into the graphics. So I can’t unplug it because my tv goes off. I also have a hdmi port on my motherboard at the back but I’m unable to get that to work with my tv. How do I go about doing so? Thank you.
If you have any further questions with your pc, you should check out reddit, and go to r/rift r/buildapc and r/pcmr they are very helpful, just do not ask a million questions and do some research:) cheers
PcPro Playz I'm actually getting problems with the sensors now. When I started it off first time it was good and working now it just looses connection. When I move, it freezes the picture while I have the headset on. No idea why that is? Hmmm
